  1. I think that the way the Thorpe Park Bus system works is that they're like every 10 minutes or something up to about a hour after closing, this may also be the case for Summer Nights aswell I believe.

  2. Even if they were to work out a system which is similar to the things that rotates which banks, ticket offices  etc. have between the two stations I think it could be a better system than the current one and it'd be a more efficient way of baggage collection.

  3. There's no space to go past anyone wanting to put bags in, the baggage hold is in awful location.

They still told those without bags to pass through to the station, even though the area around the baggage area was clogged up pretty badly. They also said that if there's a group of us to allocate one person to go forward with all the bags, which was just more faffing about and caused more backlog IMO.

  4. I still don't understand why the host didn't get us to pair up or something though, as there were a number of people behind us and we were taking the mic a bit really. The throughput was dreadful, that could've been the case for most of the trains that were dispatched. Guess that's the problem with an indoor ride with such an extensive indoor queue which is practically a maze and possibly the most confusing bag area ever with regards to the fact there's 2 of them.

  5. The whole thing with the baggage was very awkward on Sunday. We were sort've standing at the baggage area at the entrance for a while only to discover it wasn't being used. There also seemed to be a bit of a backlog at the other one though and they were making various announcements telling groups to allocate one person to take the bags- unless it's a new thing they're trying to make things easier(?)

Although, when I went back in April they were using the bagging area at the entrance. Albeit the park was considerably empty then so maybe the alternate it to correspond with how busy or quiet the park is.

  6. Well I visited Thorpe yesterday, the cinema was okay, but I'm not really it's biggest fan.

To be honest, the 4D cinema was okay. But it was essentially the same 4 effects repeated (chair jerking, water squirting, air blowing, smoke), which got a bit meh in the end (even though a lot of them made me jump as I'm a whuss for jump scares). Also, I didn't appreciate the amount of water that got squirted in your face-it was too much I feel. But overall it was and okay storyline for children I guess, just thought the effects were repetitive and the chair jerking, water squirting and air blowing just got a bit annoying and samey, the 'smoke' effect wasn't that noticeable or immersive either, it only stayed near the ceiling where it was released from. The bubbles effect seemed as though it was just chucked in to entertain the kids, but does tie in with the film.

  7. Okay I didn't know whether to post it here or in the meet feedback thread, but I guess here is more appropiate ^_^

Basilcally, a few of us were talking on Skype yesterday about how it can be a struggle to get/arrange lifts if you can't get up to a meet easily- especially if you're a new member and this may be your first meet- and also how it can be hard to know who you can stay with if it's a long distance trip such as Towers.

So I came up with an idea. What if the site were to have a section which had a list of people who require lifts, need to book a hotel and would like a few others to split the price with as it's a bit extortionate, or would like to go 2 for 1 with someone or something as they're not a MAP holder? It'd be a lot more efficient than spamming in the meet thread in the hope that someone who can help you sees. Also, if you were someone who could give someone else a lift for that particular meet, you could 'register' to be notified whenever someone states they need a lift. Someone in need of a room mate or someone to go 2 for 1 with could also be notified if someone states they need the same thing as you. You could even go as far as using people's locactions so they can be given 'suggestions' or 'people to look out for' to make thing quicker and easier.

    Just a thought :)

  8. Basically, Thorpe have tried and tested various ways to resolve everything that, theoretically speaking, could be wrong. Yet nothing has worked so far so Thorpe are still continuing to 'experiment' with different solutions to various theoretical possibilities with regards to what's causing the difference in swing heights.

That probably was just more complicated actually, sorry.

  9. I'd imagine that the tickets they're selling outside of rides are coming out of the overall allocation anyway?

Even on a day as busy as FN? I can't see them having that much spare on a day like that...

  10. I've never quite understood why Thorpe sell fastrack at the entrance of a ride if the queue time exceeds 90 minutes. This happened when I went back in April, the queue time for Inferno was advertised as 90 minutes, and, as my friend had never been to Thorpe before and she wanted to ride it, we bought fastrack. We were let pretty much straight though up the stairs when we got to the fastrack entrance which shocked me a bit; yeah okay that's pretty much what you're paying for but the fact we got let straight into the queue seriously made me question how 'fair' the normal:fastrack riders ratio really is... I saw multiple times fastrackers being let straight in both before and after I went on Inferno and I know from my own experience in October that, on Inferno atleast, when fastrack is sold on the entrance 1) more fastrack is sold, obviously, and 2) way more fastrackers were being let in than what I would imagine they normally would. On that occassion I spent over 2 hours queuing for Inferno (although someone was sick on it and the park was busier due to FN) yet the normal queue hardly moved, whilst I saw a constant flow of fastrackers going up the stairs. I'd say that when Inferno's queue gets 'big' and they start to sell fastrack at the entrance atleast 2-3 rows are fastrackers alone per ride. I understand that, usually, those who buy fastrack are either those who have never been, or hardly go to Thorpe (in the case of my friend), or, are tourists, but I don't agree with the fact that they try to sell fastrack at the entrance, they literally stopped us and asked if we wanted to purchase fastrack as it'll take 'a third of the normal queuing time' yet we got on in 20 minutes front row, I personally find it rather ridiculous.
