  1. What lovely girl you are giving her the low down on rides!! I can only add to Ellie's comment being a size 16-18 and big boobs myself, Vortex makes me feel like I can't breath and my ribcage is being cracked due to the pressure on my chest ha ha ha ! so I avoid that now for that reason. I haven't had any problems on any other rides, even Rush. I also find, having far too many layers on doesn't help lol but am just going to have to suffer it on Thursday as its going to be freezing and I can't just walk around in a t-shirt and hoodie as it will be far too cold! The more layers, the more pressure and the more pain lol x You'll be fine fine, have a great day! x
  2. Hi guys, I'm just about to book a ticket for my friend at £30.24 for the opening day 14th March. Now I read that friends and family can get 50% off the ticket price when a MAP books. I've tried the THorpe Park number to enquire or even book a ticket for my friend but it obviously says Thorpe Park is closed. How can I enquire/book if the park is closed ?! I'm happy to book online but I just wanted to see whether it was cheaper booking over the phone. Does anyone have an alternative number? Can I book via Merlin rather than THorpe Park itself? CAn someone reply ASAP as I'm on my lunch break waiting to book.... Ta x Emma x
  3. Has anyone been on this ride when the dingy was full of water...... late last year I went on - the bird who was controlling it (standing outside) refused to empty the water and it was literally up to our shins but she said it was fine, I said its not, you need to empty it and I waited for the next one - yet they still let it go round full of water rather than just empty it (like I've seen them do several times whilst queuing...). What's the deal with that?!
  4. Just invest in a £5 TP poncho lol I hate getting wet especially when its cold but I still love the ride so bought one of these that just sits in the boot of my car for when I go next time!
  5. Yep she goes 3 days a week anyway whilst I'm at work and if she don't go I'm still paying for it lol I also have lots of holiday to take this year even though I'm part time something like 15 days which equates to 5 weeks as I work 3 days a week! so I'll be going TP at least once or twice a month as I don't really have any holidays booked this year! I only ever have problems getting people to come with me who don't have as much holiday as me, or have their kids at home with them etc etc! I need a TP buddy who can go at the drop of a hat ha ha !
  6. I'm guessing its common sense really - during the off peak times which is term time for schools, Uni's, college and generally people at work will be quiet - which is why I only ever go on a week day and book a day off work, chuck my girl into nursery as usual and head off to TP for the day! I don't think I'd ever go on the weekend or in a school holiday now I've been spoilt with going on a off peak week day..... I would always recommend that over any weekend.... and risking it being mega busy and being disappointed!
  7. I think I'll give it a miss too, given the only days I can go are Tues/Weds/Thurs due to my husband hating theme parks and my daughter only being 18 months old and having no friends with MAP! I'm booked to go on Thurs 14th March though and can't wait!
  8. Has anyone had the kebabs from TP? I always walk past and think one day I'll try but we always end up all you can eat at Pizza Hut and we go about 11.30am so we are back out at 12ish to get on the empty rides whilst it gets mega busy in PIzza Hut! Maybe I'll have one on 14th March when I go back! Pluk - Roast and Relish is lush, although when I had that last time we were waiting like 20 mins for the turkey to be sorted out and there was a biggish queue because of this - and the sauces are a bit pants kinda special tasting ones that I didn't really want to smother my baguette in would much rather ketchup, mustard or mayo as well as the other sauces! I spent the 20 mins eating sitting on the bench and feeding the ducks, until about 20 came over and it was putting other members of public eating too - I was getting evils! !!
  9. I can't see how people can "knock it" until they've "tried it" with regard to the backward rows on Swarm, but I can understand why you feel it will be pants and why they had to change it. I won't comment until I've had a go on 14th March and then I can make my mind up. But the initial idea, I can't say I'm thrilled but will give it a go! I hope XNWO has SOMETHING done to it, I really enjoy it and it always the first ride I go on when I get to TP! Makes me laugh like a big kid! and I'm a wuss but it actually scares me when it keeps stop and starting I start making out images in my head in the dark and think people are going to jump out or summat! And you'll always get some loser screaming down the corridors on the way to the ride..... *yawn*!
  10. Brilliant! I'm definately going either way, I have an AP and my two friends will book online so we can walk straight to the turnstyles anyway! Thanks for replying x
  11. Hi guys, Have been catching up on the Swarm backwards thread and the possibly renovation of X:/No Way Out and its getting me excited to get back to TP when it opens on 14th March! So my question is, from previous experiences - what is the first day open to the public like? Is it quiet? Busy? All rides working? Everything finished and running I.e. no overlaps with works etc? Its my birthday on the 12th March so I'm using it as an excuse to go TP on the first day it opens. I might as well get as much use out of my AP before it expires in August! It won't stop me going either way but just intrigued! Thanks guys x Em x
  12. I second Relish and Roast by Swarm... although I ended up hand feeding the ducks as they were so cute so I just ended up having turkey with no bagette ha ha ! As for whether Swarm, Stealth or Saw being scary - I don't think any are "scary" but Stealth is an amazing adrenaline rush for the speed and height element (its my favourite ride @ Thorpe Park... for the moment!) Swarm is quite smooth being a new coaster and Saw just batters you about - but the vertical climb and drop are amazing and the little surprise in the dark I love too ha ha ha ! Have a great day whatever x you'll love it
  13. I got a bit excited - shoot me! I don't mind the bag thing its the going in alone lol I wanna hold my mates hand ha ha ha ! Ah well I guess in for a penny in for a pound......... gotta try something at least once. I guess I can find out from those of you going before 19th October what its like and if its really THAT bad!
  14. Really?!! That was £3 wasted then as I won't be going in alone - call me a wuss but thats proper scarey **** lol Maybe thats the way - get loads of people to buy entrance to this new maze thinking its a group thing and then when they find out you go in alone - then people think twice and don't bother lol
  15. Damn - I hate X:/no way out as it is in the bloody dark its gonna be even worse of a night ha ha ha !! Also I asked on Thorpe Park Official FB page but I'm getting mixed responses - The Passing, I've booked to go on this with a mate, but I've heard that it might not be a group thing I.e. go in alone? If I'd known that I wouldn't have bothered buying a fastrack as I can't do it alone - I really will die of fright seriously - and all this talk of Hessian bags over your head?! WTF?
  16. Thanks guys for your help. I have one more question - there are no print at home tickets for Fright Night from when I ordered the above - not even the car park ticket - I have to go to advance collections..... Now my next question - will this be banged out with massive queues?! Can people still turn up on the day for Fright Night or is it all pre-booked? I'm hoping most people will be going for the day anyway whereas I am not getting there until about 3.30pm as I have my daughter to look after (can't palm her off on the MIL all day ha ha ha !). Em x
  17. Thanks guys - have just pre-booked my tickets for Friday 19th October - I think I have it right:- 1 Full ticket @ £27 odd quid (for my mate) 1 AP ticket @ £5 2 Passing fastrack @ £6 for time slot 7-7.15 (will it be dark then?!) 1 Car Park ticket @ £4 That sounds about right? I was going to fastrack the other mazes but it was only 3 of them and not including The Passing or Saw Alive for £14... which I thought was a bit extortionate! So I will assess the situation when we get there as we will get there for about 4pm.... hoping to get on a few big rides without fastracking... and hoping the queues for fasttrack won't be mega! At least I know I'm guarnateed The Passing if all other rides are massive queues lol as I only have 5 hours there! Am staying until the end.... ! ANyone else going on 19th?
  18. So after sifting through the pages I've missed can someone please clarify for me.... Will there be a charge for each seperate maze on top of the £5 entrance fee for AP holders.. if so how much ? On top of the fee for each seperate maze, is there an additional fee if you wish to fast track? if so how much will this be and does this cut the queues down considerably? I'm used to fast tracking all the big rides at Thorpe and only waiting 10 mins max. Is this the same for the mazes? Thanks guys love you all!

  20. I asked this today. No decision has been made yet and won't until end of this month...

    Logger's Leap

The smell in the tunnel on loggers leap is sickening - it smells stagnant and like duck **** I went on it 4 times in a row today - they need to sort it!!
  22. I went TP today and took a pic of the developments for FN at the top of storm surge :-)
  23. I just realised that the week commencing 29th October is half term too....... ****.... lol
