Sounds great. Really good that Blackpool are adding audio theming to the park. Finally The Big One has a decent soundtrack!

Merlin have done a Liseberg style chasing drone video of Nemesis. 😃

This topic is missing Rulantica updates!

Merlin should just sell Thorpe if they don't want to invest in it any more. Preferably while it still has value before they completely run it into the ground.
-
Lol, Fastrack at Chessington is a joke. It's so over-allocated, it loses any value it has and you're pretty much paying more to queue via the exit.

Radisson have joined the "UK Disneyland" project (As the press INSIST on calling it, even though it has nothing to do with Disney)

Omg guys, Jack Sickstone of gtfo... He knows like all the FN clues already and decypherates them firstest!!

Thorpe if you're reading this, Get rid of VR on the ghost train. Make it all live action and open it at 10am. VR in theme parks is not the future, the best part of the ride is the fake shop with the real effects.

Alton Towers: STARGAZING PODS, WICKERMAN, DUNGEONS, CUCKOO RE-THEME?

Legoland: CASTLE HOTEL, NINJAGO RIDE, MAD HOUSE, JUNIOR COASTER
Thorpe Park: used flats, twd:tr, half day operational dbgt:rotd

Not guilty sir, I've yet to even witness Bouncezilla in the flesh.
Good idea, your eyes and ears may get burned.

I'm staying well away, hopefully the countless vlogs of the event will be of some entertainment though.

As I said on Facebook, they probably got Intamin rust insurance with it or something, lol. Even a brand new Colossus cost Merlin less than that.

"Pretty much"? Between the plans and that advertising, I'd love to know how much more confirmation you'd need for it to be 100% confirmed
Well it's not an exact copy, It's a smoother "second hand" track that was never constructed and different style trains from what I've heard. They'll probably maintain it better than Merlin too! 😛

Me too, although genuinely, the fake shop is literally the best part (and only part I like)!
Funny isn't it? The best part of the attraction is the most themed and interactive. I'm certain making it a "real" experience over VR would make it 1000 times better. As long as the rest of it is done as well as the fake shop.

Have always thought it just needs cutting back to the bare bones and start again but not totally write it off.
Have more time to marvel at the hanging old train. No VR but have the windows on the trains as 8k monitors with the action playing out on them plus a hidden part of the compartment for live actors for scares in the train
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ProThis is exactly what I think it should be! A real ghost train.

They should cut their losses, close it and turn it into a real ghost train / scare maze. After doing a handful of VR attractions now, I'm not convinced it belongs in a theme park. I get more thrills and immersion from really well produced theming, artwork, lighting, effects, audio & animatronics. Save the money for a long overdue coaster. It may be the first time next year Paulton's start bringing some competition to Thorpe with Tornado Springs being more thrill focused from the predominantly family friendly park. Simply put, new coasters draw in the crowds and last longer than VR attractions like Galactica or DBGT:ROTD. (And they don't take up to 12pm to get them operational!)

The fact DoorDie is returning over Big Top is enough for me to skip FN again this year. I'll see how much effort is put into the mazes this time though.

You can get 50% off Merlin attractions on 02 Priority. (Search the app) And a chance to win tickets every Friday.

Can't believe there's lots of interest in going this year after they've already sold the cheap, open dated tickets. Wasn't sure this year after we did the last two years running by ourselves.

Now we know why Merlin were visiting Rulantica.

I according to what I have seen on social media there is scaffolding around the loggers station I am now seeing hints on people now thinking it's staying because merlin has been bought out by another company I don't see that happening because they won't be able to clean that down by 2020 I am going with the original post that was put on the TP blog post on there blog page we will wait and see it's been closed 5 years so to me it's going we will wait and see on the maze line up aswell if platform is returning one more season but we might not get it atall as there doing work around the station unless they lay out the cattle pen a different way this year so we can experience platform
The work on Loggers is only for Fright Nights.
