No these 1,000 are just “world class”

People wanted longer hours in the summer again so the extra 80 hours is a big positive, obviously the late closing has only been possible by more closed days but at least the hours lost have been allocated elsewhere. As long as they keep it simple by not needing separate tickets to stay after 6pm like in the past it should be successful providing the weather is decent.

Next year will be the third season shut for development / redevelopment and the guy from Merlin Magic Making said it takes 4 years for something from start to finish to open (when asked about Slammers replacement) so it’s looking unlikely for it to open next year.

Considering they don’t actually own the majority of their properties and simply have a lease I wouldn’t expect it’s that easy to offload them and the contracts for lease might have certain conditions attached for transfer etc. In other news a letter doing the rounds from Merlin says they are also branching out on policing the internet

Went last night and Swarm was extremely poor. The train would come into the station then the two staff at back of each side would then meet in the middle and have a chat instead of checking seats, then when the gates closed they would move with glacial speed to do seat checks all while the other train is sat outside waiting and the front few rows were already checked and staff waiting at their buttons. lots of people could also be overheard dismayed at why trains were going with empty seats, why not put the single riders together and let another two on etc. Don’t think I’ve ever seen Swarm as bad as it was last night. In general some staff do appear to be on a go slow, no effort whatsoever made just the bare minimum maybe staff moral is low due to demands on actually being busy.

Wonder if the Fanta thing is the “worlds first attraction” Thorpe advertised that was coming

I only asked because Thorpe using the term seasonal attraction with relation to why it’s closed.

With Rumba now a seasonal attraction, that means we probably won’t be seeing it open until late May / June next year wouldn’t it?

They are giving away free tickets via the app for the first two weeks of 2018. To qualify you have to select the free tickets section while at the park

The ultimate fastrack (Non fright nights) does include a one shot for ghost train. Not sure if the removal for Fright Nights ultimate is intentional or a mistake
