Rapids being closed is purely money reasons and not safety related. Towers still have Congo open although it does close before dark but it’s open during the day and that’s something Thorpe can do as well.
Fastrack is £28 for The terrifying trio (Walking Dead: Do or die, SAW Alive & Vulcan Peak)
Triple threat is also £28 (Living nightmare, platform 15 & deed creek woods)
or ultimate £150 which includes all mazes and rides (excludes containment)
As @Marc I went through the usual fastrack entrance on Saturday too. Isn’t the fastrack via exit just on what they class off peak days? Least it always used to be.
@MattyMoo
Whats the betting all those VIP passholder are frantically booking shark stay just to go to press night ?
Then they’ll have a meltdown when they are told sorry you aren’t VIP enough to queue jump
I went with the exclusive preview expectation that Merlin built it up to. This means it should be exactly the same as press night and General Public, I said I wasn’t sold on the new audio and I stand by it. I much prefer the director theme.
Opinion is meant to be individual and I can’t believe a few days work before press night will change my thoughts on it.
However I will visit next week and if there is an improvement I will state that.
That’s all the group is for isn’t it ? it’s amazing how many don’t live in reality, bleating on they were promised an exclusive day like its the end of the world that they have to share it with the general public
That will never happen, Merlin wouldn’t sign off on anything that was critical of them.
Others have commented the only reason smiler incident featured was to get viewers and then shoe horn them into the advertising of Wickerman for rest of the show.
You can’t enter the park on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday during the summer with a Thorpe AP, unless you pay the £10 fee to gain access on those days and then that fee would cover the full 12hrs.

In the case of Galatica though it’s fair to say it was a failure otherwise they wouldn’t of removed rows of equipment. But now ironically they’ve made VR “exclusive” and people are waiting for VR instead of walking straight on to empty seats for non VR.
