  1. Saw is a bit rough, but is it really as rough as everyone makes it out to be? To be honest, I found it just as rattley as inferno and the swarm nearer the back of the train. If anything, it adds to the theme of torture. Trust me, I've done a lot rougher rides. Wild Maus XXL was painful, Stampida red made me feel like I was about to die and dragon khan simply is rough, no question or doubt!
  2. I think what it came down to with temple del Fuego was a number of factors. Firstly, language barrier certainly didn't help and with all the hype, it's definitely overrated. Also, it didn't help that we were near the very end of the theatre. The queuing system was awful and simply caused everyone in the queue to be angry. All my family were really disappointed, really annoyed we wasted our time on it. This contrasts deeply with flying dreams which we all loved.
  3. Totally agree with your PA comments. Anyway, here is more of my controversial opinions. 1. Furius Baco is my favourite launch coaster, beating Red Force, Rita and Stealth. 2. Shambhala is good, but nothing too spectacular, like a certain worldwide Youtuber makes it out to be. 3. PA world as a resort (including parks) I would rate lower than Thorpe Park and Gardaland. 4. Dragon Khan is unbearably rough. 5. Log flumes are just very samey and get you too wet. 6. Temple de Fuego is quite disappointing and lacks any major wow factor. 7. Huraken Condor is quite rough, but like every other drop tower, it simply doesn't scare me.
  4. I really want the album but the price of £20 is unecessarily high, considering that the old soundtracks could be found on YouTube for free, and there's only 7 main areas/ attractions which have the music on the album. Hmm, to buy or to not to buy
  5. I was more referring to stealth being so forgettable and over, after a blink of the eye. At least, saw feels a lot longer and it's the only coaster at thorpe that I can say makes me smile at the end of the ride. Nemesis Inferno is good but there's nothing spectacular. Stealth is meh. Colossus just focusses on inversions. THE SWARM lacks any force, whatsoever, except on the drop. Unlike mystery mine, saw isn't just a story based experience with a hint of an actual coaster. Saw mixes both theming and the actual coaster very well.
  6. I mean I absolutely love Saw, more than Shambhala or Red Force. It is forceful, has a good amount of theming and has a very good layout (maybe slightly too short but long enough AHEM Stealth). The ride has a solid capacity (and it's an awfully clever system in how the coaster operates). Theming wise, I'd expect it not to change but maybe it would be nice to get some of the original concept art appearing in the attraction more.
  7. Angry Birds 4D Experience (5) Depth Charge (5) Detonator: Bombs Away (5) Flying Fish (5) I'm A Celebrity (4) King Pig's Wild Hog Dodgems (5) Lumber Jump (2) Mr. Monkey's Banana Ride (5) Nemesis Inferno (5) Quantum (5) Rocky Express (5) Rumba Rapids (5) Rush (5) Samurai (5) SAW - The Ride (6) Stealth (5) Storm In A Teacup (5) Storm Surge (5) The Swarm (6) Tidal Wave (5) Timber Tug Boat (8) Vortex (4) X (5) Zodiac (5) Saw - The Ride + Vortex -
  8. It's not love. It's going to ruin an attraction which worked well for the entire family
  9. I think Thorpe deserves the prize of making a ride which never fit into any area, to fit nothing whatsoever. Literally going to be an apocalypse in a small town themed to the beach area. This whole thing is absolutely stupid. Makes DBGT seem like a good idea.
  10. It does make you wonder what actually is going on at merlin magic making. After refurbishing a coaster, with a new disco soundtrack and new effects/ theming for the queue, you turn it into an apocalyptic attraction. I guess the IMASCORE soundtrack was at least good for half a season.
  11. I visited Ferrari Land this summer, in peak august, and the operation for red force was abysmal. Train left every 2.5 mins, which would have made a capacity of around 250 people per hour. However, there were constant breakdowns, including a 10 minute complete stoppage just befo I rode. I can only predict the capacity would have been more like 200 people per hour, and you've got to remember the high amount of fast track users. No wonder, therefore, that the advertised queue of 50 minutes went to over 2.25 hours.
  12. Ferrari land is still worse. At least, this is going to be a coaster with a higher capacity than red force
  13. 4 years ago at Thorpe, the only major attractions I did were stealth and detonator. Last year, I started to do Inferno and swarm. This year, I was able to do ever coaster and look at me now doing all the major PA coasters alone. At the end of the day, it's possible to ride everything but you just have to be active and make yourself ride.
  14. The only way you will conquer your fears, is to attack them head on. Just do the coasters and make yourself do them. If anything, it's easier with friends because you get peer pressure to ride. The worst situation is you don't like the ride and don't ever ride it again. Just saying, with your name containing Chessington, Chessington coasters are abysmal and are far less enjoyable than thorpe.

Just saying. I'm so likely to win most dedicated member as I write so many posts here and they are so detailed, and they never, ever cause any arguments. People never get annoyed or really angry with me for saying Chessington and Bubble works are awful and overrated. I really don't think I'm at at all, being sarcastic whatsoever!
  16. It's certainly a proof of concept, which is the use of multiple technologies and ideas, eventhough it's a mess.
  17. I don't have a MAP so here are my parks: Thorpe Park -2 PortAventura - 3 Ferrari Land - 1
  18. I've only done Rita, Stealth, Red Force and Furius Baco but really they're all rather boring and lack force except Furius Baco, which has a nice preshow.
  19. Let me say my PA problems. The staff have a huge issue with you being happy enough to wait a bit, in order to get front row. None of the coasters are that good (even shambhala). Without express, I honestly felt like the park didn't at all care about me, with express people getting front row seats to shows, when I was there waiting for almost an hour. They always took priority on even single ride, with the only exception being on El Diablo. Operations are abysmal. On a peak August day, for red force, there was a 1 train service, which meant the advertised 50 minute queue took over 2 hours (working out 2.5 times more than advertised time). For me, the park just didn't live up to any of the hype, although I do have to admit the theming is rather good, except for Angkor's falling apart polystyrene foam theming.
  20. Don't waste your time at PortAventura or Ferrari Land. None of the coasters are world class (including shambahla which is very overrated). The way express works makes people without it feel like idiots and not important. The theming is good but I won't rate the resort higher than Gardaland. If you do go to Gardaland, you also have Movie Land closeby.
  21. What would you like to see for fright nights 2018? Discuss Fright Nights for 2018 here
  22. It could always be "Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the SBNO Attraction", which could be the world's first tour dedicated to seeing a #unavailable attraction and the horrors inside of it like the poor heating system, broken effects and endless queues.
  23. The name should have just been Tiger Falls, but the area name sounds awful, especially with Land of the Dragons already in the park. It's amazing to think people get paid to think of such awful, unoriginal names. I guess I got to be grateful it's not an IP.
  24. The weather has been abysmal today in the North. I almost decided to visit BPB tomorrow but the lack of Halloween event, unlike Towers, is making Towers become a more likely place to visit. That's something the park should look into!
