I think it's more due to.. it doesn't change the rideability much. I'm sure it'd change the experience.. but there's not much they can do when they cannot cut down trees there and ultimately the drops would be the same.Has it been done before elsewhere? It's just.. I can't see it as being very marketable, most people would think it's what was previously there, and I'd imagine it'd have the same interest as a retheme (which always manages to livens up guests interest in a ride).

Rumour mill is a host stole it... I'm sure Neilfever could tell us the correct story about it?

This is another thing, fanboys mentioning logflume replacing a logflume..Just why? The current one works, so why would they spend more than it'd cost to refurb it to replace it with exactly the same (and seemingly adding nothing of value to the park).I do love the sign though, it's definitely confusing/exciting/angering people around. Particularly as it makes the people in-the-know start questioning their own sources for 2 seconds

They were added in a half baked retheme in... 07? One which quickly got lost with the removal of the wonderful DVD.They originally resided in the old queueline.

So basically what you're saying is.. a retheme will quosh your little "problems" with the ride..Not worth the hours long queue is down to opinion. I queued 40mins and it was definitely worth it.

That brings back memories of his dirtyness and his constant bloody laughing then snoring.

Hello Electric Bill!Pfft, what is everyones problems with the flume? It's an amazing family and group ride. Rode it yesterday, and still loved it. It does exactly what it says on the signs. It flumes.

I was reading all the articles earlier today (they're on a massive sign on sales & info desk in mutiny bay).. and I thought it was a retheme of the flume - as others suggest taking over of the area, battling against the flume unplugged, rather than new ride. The articles, interestingly, also mention X sector.. with the lord of the darkness talking about his days being numbered due to a change in the management team and time to step down.

I think they slowed it down though - it's so mega slow and crap for whatever reason. I never understand this idea - let's slow down the ride for family audiences. Families go on the exact same ride at other parks, for far faster speeds and intensity and still love it (and they have queues)
  10. I wonder if it's just got that "lets hope they're not stupid" auror about it - such as sticking your arm out on nemesis on the left hand side as you go over the station...

Inbetweeners movie has possibly the best beginning ever though. Absolute win.Yeah, the film is well good. Slow, at parts, but still outrageously funny like the tv series'.
  12. No. There's bins and guests littering for that. He's a ferral cat, as they all are. They look cute, but if you approach they'll either run away or attack you .
  13. Thats Ripsaw, nice to see a photo of him. He hangs around the old nemmy extentions and blade ride area most of the day.
  14. I'll update you as of today, the statistics are thereabouts, as I cannot remember the exact scores apart from nemesis.Nemesis - 45.9%Air - 17.5%Oblivion 17%Thirteen 10%Rita 8%

Oh like it was in 2008, and probably at least every year.Rameses exit does go past it, would look awful if it wasn't maintained to some extent.

If you go by train, you can always use the days out guide (the 2for1) stuff. Website: www.daysoutguide.co.uk

Ohh I never ever understood what he said, just that his parrot worked more than him. Oh, and he always always laughed.Shame he was gotten rid of, but my god he was a pain in the arse to clean.

Is that theoretical or realistic? Otherwise that's their 2nd or 3rd highest throughput coaster on park (After inferno and maybe saw).
  19. That list is outdated by 2 weeks. To give you the real ones, with the statistics (though could've changed as of this morning, but I doubt they'd be online).Nemesis - 39.5%Air - 23.2%Oblivion 19.3%Thirteen 9.5%Rita 8.5%

Lol, have fun with that in the UK.. None of the ones I've visited (blackpool, drayton, oakwood, flamingoland or lightwater) allow you to stay on, regardless of busyness! This year I've been drayton 3 times, lightwater 3 times and blackpool once. I love visiting the non-merlin parks, however they are really lacking in areas. Most have some appauling rides which you'd only match with chessington (Tomb and Bubbles are shocking). In comparison.. I've visited towers 4 times, and chessie twice. Couple of midway brands.Tend to go to independant ones more, cos they're cheap and they are good fun.
  22. All he needs to do is look underneath his office, to notice signs changed there. No return on investment there, don't bring in guests or affects the business. But done for brand integrety and to improve things. Erk
  23. Not everything though. Otherwise we could suggest that bubbleworks didn't need it's new lighting on the fountain finale. The actual ride experience counts almost as much as the ride *actually* being available.Staff interaction, they're good. But not when they affect throughputs, which is exactly whats been happening when myself and others visit the park. They need to do what one of my lovely targets is "find the right balance between throughput and guest service" Yes, considering the majority of the time is supposedly spent on the lifthill [I've not been on it], I'd imagine it'd add to guest experience a fair bit. Themed, something to look at, improves everything visually.Guest experience counts overall, otherwise majority of the changes at chessington would not be happening. The same should be said for thorpe.
  24. Kevin, your pessimistic attitude is exactly why places don't improve, just wallow in their own self pity. It'd definitely affect guests experience, and would affect the business in a little way - it could also increase the rides scores in KPI's.You talk such rubbish sometimes.(however, I haven't visited thorpe this year, so I'm not gonna sign petition. I don't think it'd work on same way as towerstimes one did though)

No, but there's consequences.. A lot of drying to do.Using water cannons create a whole them against us thing which they don't wanna do. It could escalate. But my god, it'd stop these fires.
