  1. Yeah, queue to the entrance with only area 3 open is only 20mins. And air is pretty much always over 20mins.
  2. I'd say towers scarefest. I think the atmosphere is just right. The mazes are better than Thorpe imo, as they're better thought out, they're not constant scare-scare-scare bright lights trying to kill you bullcottage cheese tastes very nice, they generally have a storyline or a background and it's more immersive, which is worth their extra costs. And terror of the towers lasting roughly 13mins is a good run for your money reallyI also think towers does more for the kids, yeah they've got the trick or treat, but the music is better suited to family, and they seemingly put more effort than chessington. I lov chessingtons soundtrack, but to play it everywhere? Bit much. And they've done that before with the old amity SFX playing everywhere in previous two years.Plus.. the park overall looks better. The park looks better than the others in the daytime, but come nighttime. Coar. Just look at these to see how amazing the place looked last year. Plus, apart from literally 3 days last year, the park was no busier than a standard weekend - or even dead (first week being empty). Decent.
  3. What I also don't understand is the varying speed between the two rides at the merlin parks. You could say Chessie is tailored to a younger audience - but these kids of same age and height end up experiencing faster, scarier, thrills at the other park. So why not have it the same? .Doesn't just go for this - Frog Hopper v Berry Bouncers is another one. Frog Hopper is actually an amazing ride and flings you out of your seat! Yet the kids absolutely love it!
  4. Sounds like a brilliant weekend .With air - you're lucky when you visit then! 4 short (the one you explained was open) is almost always open apart from right at start and end of days. Thats 40min queue full. To experience less than that on your visits before is.. just... lucky
  5. Interesting - though I swear the cost has been £40.60 for ages? There's been plenty of tickets on the floor around park saying entry 40.60 - so they've only increased it 20p?Or has this bogof £40.60 thing been in place all season, only recently being risen to 40.80 and people just becoming aware of it?
  6. Yeah I honestly dont understand why they have awful settings, and bother using them. Chessington is stupid

    Travel

My route FINALLY has a late train - leaving at 11.08 from London Bridge. Oh, it's amazing. Before then, the amount of times I struggled to try and ensure I got the last train home was... too many times.

    E-Lockers

They came into use about 2 weeks ago now, pretty decent. They have a half day charge of £3 as well.Got good reception, and loads are using it. So, good investment it seems.Top tip: Don't put all your money in your locker, if there's a chance you'll go over the limit, cos you'll end up with everything stuck in there
  9. Thanks for the review Fever - I love yours, as they're always so unbiased and one of the best detailed ones we get on here.Seems interesting about the ride, I'll give it til after august before trying it, see if anythings progressed by then.
  10. Will we get a Worthing 4d experience like Blackpool and London then? .I rather like their midway brands going everywhere. Wonder how much they think they could charge for this.

Floating around fb atm, but its epic.

It's one of the few things I really genuinely like about the park - is that they put music on pretty much every single ride there. It just makes a crappy ride a great atmosphere (like.. mr monkeys).

    Safety Checks

Oakwood doesn't, and tbh they don't really need checking unless its obvious they're not pulled down - just due to the design of those restraints. However, thorpe tells them they should be checked, and therefore they should. Oh wells!
  14. Hey, Very easy to do, here's your answers.1) Apply when jobs become available @ www.thorpeparkjobs.com2) 16 or over for host, 18 for operator.3) Bugger all. No qualifications needed whatsoever.Hope this helps
  15. Rumpy Pumpy Bumpy.Attend.
  16. A country shaped almost like a penis.I love it.
  17. That signs been there since inferno opened I believe. So, that's why it mentions the area.I have never understood why it exists though. It's like having a sign outside of thirteen reminding people to ride Nemesis. Surely they know that coaster exists as well?!

    Logger's Leap

It'd be fast and heavy enough to give someone whiplash - never kill. It'll only hit another log (which is static) at like 20mph or so.
  19. Yes it is. I wanna go read all those book titles

    Logger's Leap

If that's the case, then its more of a backup as well as a physical reassurance. Much like coasters have at least two PLCs to ensure nothing accidently goes wrong, they'll be there to prevent or slow down the boat from going down if the anti slip has grounded down.

    ONE.. STEP.. BEYOND.Yeah man, reading.
  22. It's weather like yesterday and the day before which makes Tidal Wave seem like an amazing investment to have.
  23. Bernards watch, The worst witch.. Woof.. Harry and the wrinklies. Original finders keepers, Fun House..Anything old and decent on CITV basically.
  24. To be fair, I do like the area theme thumping in that station. It's sexier than loading in silence.
  25. Think of poor people with balls. I've never had to consider the way I sit on a ride until SAW..
