I'd presume they'd connect with shoes to the main arm, like a rollercoaster - so it'd only engage when in the same position.Could be possible without one wire throughout. Could be possible to have one run it like that, particularly as Samurai already has a zero position which it needs to hit before it lowers - suggesting that it can be implemented on all the topscans.
  2. I missed out on applying for rides, the application disappeared. Damnit!

Tomb isn't a winner for me, slow and boring and not much to shoot at.. plus poorly maintained guns. Then again, I haven't been when its been busy recently. A dead quiet tomb on 3 trains has to be the most soul-sucking experience at chessington. I'd relate it to Pirate Adventure at Drayton Manor..
  4. That's not stealth. That's a different ride at M&Ds
  5. Nowadays, assessment is general recruitment stage for the majority of jobs within merlin. Assessment is followed instantly by interview - basically assessment is the group tasks, and interview is one-to-one.
  6. Has it really? My god.. I really don't pay too much attention. When did the thrills and experience teams join together then? They were seperate in 08, and that was only 3 seasons ago.

It's an amusement park, and classes itself as one.Funfair/amusement park. Same thing.
  8. Shadowing mostly on platforms is not doing anything then?Unless the term shadowing has changed, so they're actually not physically touching anything whatsoever?
  9. They also don't work just for rides.. he could be a welcome host

Everytime I've asked for setting 6, I've got it

I won't queue long, as there's been many times when I've queued under 10mins for most rides. Though it depends on the company, I'm happy queueing half hour for stuff.
  12. To be fair, this time last year they thought this years would be the same..But that's just being picky
  13. Noone under 14 will go either, as their parents wont be able to enter, and therefore won't allow them to go.I expect that this will be a mega flop tbh. Nice try though..
  14. I liked the history bit though, I like to know stuff like that .United biscuits are also doing 50% off on their crisps - thats stuff like hula hoops. Mmm

The new trains made this impossible though.Though it's down to a lot of things - the way it comes into the station, the lapbars getting stuck, the airgates being completely out of line, the seatbelts on the restraints themselves..Tis quite an achievement to hit the dispatch interval (or whatever its called) on there.. though there are simple things (such as batching into the station, so you only have 2 in each lane or so) which'd improve it incredibly.
  16. That's if they don't change it all next year... thorpe has a habit of not being able to keep its staffing areas the same for more than one/two seasons.
  17. I like the getting angry at thorpe thing. Thing is, if they get solid evidence of queuejumping (accurate descriptions, more than one person/group pointing them out... people *actually* telling the hosts about it), then something will be done about it.Other than that, not much they can do.Oh, I also hate others munching the face off others. Unless I'm the one doing it. I'm such a hippogriff.
  18. Just a heads up, the parks are expecting to be VERY busy with the schools on strike tomorrow - loads are planning on coming on the day off. When schools are visiting, weekends are the best. Over school holidays, tues, weds or fri are the best days.

Ask politely for a longer one, you may well get one.On busy days, they run programme 4.. with the 4 spins. It's alright

I totally change my mind with thirteen queue. Having it half full and it literally zoom through is a brilliant feeling. Having something to look at would make it a far, far better queueing experience.

Seems a bit weird getting a priority pass for not getting back into station normally. But hell, who'd complain at that?!
