Your post is the very definition of randomIt also reminds me of those Oscar acceptance speechs where they thank everyone they know including the kitchen sink for everything they have achieved. So on that note I want to wish Chelski good luck, hope Marc is having a great time at work, hope Jack enjoys selling photos, wishes Phil luck as he tries to get his mac fixed, wants Alex to buy me alcohol for this weekend (), is desperately hoping Ian isn't at nandos and wants to know if Cringle remembers the Tidal Wave late night rides at the April event two years ago.Woo!
  5. Tomb Blaster is more of an event ride, I agree but I think thats what actually annoys me about it. The fact its one of the main rides at Chessington means queues are always a silly length and I often find the fact that a lot of targets don't work (as do some of the guns) and the slower pace results in a bored Mark.
  6. No one implied otherwise.
  7. Blimey guys thank you Phil, Marc, Stealth Tom, Holly, TpDan, Frankie, Peter, Georgie and Rich for the birthday wishes. As I am now officially no longer a teenager I can say "in my day" and it actually means something... (And Jack \/

I know that you need help.Your tongue is twisted, your eyes are slit.You need a guardian.Woo-hoo, and you know I'm yours.Woo-hoo, and I know you're mine.Woo-hoo, and that's for all of time.[chorus]I don't care 'bout that.Bang! What do we do?Don't look now but I lost my shoe.I can't run and I can't kick.What's a matter babe, are you feelin' sick?What's a matter, what's a matter, what's a matter you?What's a matter babe, are you feelin' blue?Oh-oh-oh!And that's for all of time. (x2)[chorus]I don't care 'bout that. (x3)
  9. Price is all relative though. Back in 1990 the pound would be worth less then it is now for instance. I remember Chessington was £17 in 1998 and can remember my parents complaining about the price. Now its £31 going up by approximately £1.20 a year. "The same with Thorpe, a great deal of those 1.8 million ppl have probably payed upto £32 to be there so numbers through the gate is not everything."A small deal of those people would have actually paid £32 quid to get in. You've got annual pass holders, free tickets, BOGOF vouchers, Family tickets and the on-line price. Numbers through the gate is very respresentative of what people think of the park. 1 million with very few rides in 1990 is a lot when you compare the park with one that has a lot of rides and only a 0.8 million increase over 18 years. Luckily for Thorpe Stealth is a real money machine." Compared to what £32 would buy you at a travelling fair, sometimes a top scan (Samurai) can be £4 to £5 each for a short ride and the boosters around £10 so it is good value really."Good point there. Fairs are awful for quality (depending on where you go of course). Although I'd disagree on some of the best rides you can find. Samurai and Quantum are seriously lacking compared to its funfair counterparts.
  10. Ah yes.. yeah the cow one is now running round and round as is a kind of random one. it looks like Charlie and the chocolate factory but it isn't and plays Tiny Truckers sound effects for some reason.
  11. Bloody hell was it hot yesterday. Went to Alton and with the temperature hitting the 30's it certainly was a challenge yesterday. We rode lots apart from Rita because it kept breaking down a lot. Which is similar to my last Thorpe Park trip where Stealth was up and down like a fricking yo-yo. Aren't these Intamin launch coasters crap to be honest. They may be thrilling but they are so poor in reliability. Anywho park was quite busy (not 23,000 like my last Alton trip but enough), with 70 min queues at Air, 40 at Nemesis and... 5 minute waits on RMT and Battle Galleons. The Gardens at Alton are goregeous. I've never really taken the time to appreciate them but they really are stunningly beautiful and easy to get lost in. Whether Alton is the best British park is one of those arguements that could go on forever. In my opinion it is. It has the best rides in the country (Nemesis, Oblivion, RMT and Duel), beautiful surroundings (Katanga Canyon, the Gardens), the best themed rides (Hex, Nemesis, RMT), and the best variety of any park ranging from the intense, the fun and the pathetic (Charlie and the chocolate factory).Oh.. and a big shout out to Marauders Mayhem. I was shocked at how intense it is. Storm in a Teacup is loved but its pure crap compared to its Northern counterpart.... (Continuing the trend then )

The irony of Marc referring to someone as sad is to much for this Mark to take
  14. It also never claimed to be a chav filled, unreliable hell hole but it is.(Although I kind of like Thorpe at the moment )
  15. About the gate figure stuff you lot were commenting on. In 1990 Thorpe Park got 1 million people through its gate. That was back when its star attractions were Loggers Leap and Space Station Zero/Flying Fish (no idea which). So really in 15 years its gone up by 0.8 million. When you consider the sheer amount of money being thrown at it (and rides) its not doing *THAT* well in context.

Sorry, just noticed what you said here, nice choice for a (I presume) first car. Excellent quality and holds its value extremely well. This is the Mark-mobile, a really good car (well IMO anyway )

Very true. Failing a driving test is crushing, its an awful feeling. It means that when you do pass the test you know that you never want to drive badly and have to through all that again. I know plenty of people that have passed first time but I also know plenty of people (some the cleverest people I know) pass on their third attempt. It doesn't mean they are any worse at driving then the people that passed first time. Besides no one likes a show off. Passing first time doesn't make you any good, as I made it clear in your car Pete..

YOU COULDN'T BE MORE SCUM IF YOU DEEP FRIED YOUR TRACK SUIT.
  20. For the same reason Fury breaking down a lot was awful, but at Stealth was funny, you are happy to say that they cant be bothered to remove a few logos which are sparsely seen (in fact where are they :S), whereas the main part of Rumba has huge berries in it. Both parks are just as guilty as the last.
  21. *sighs*Item 600 on the "how much better Thorpe is then Chessington"Skips logos still at Fury whereas no Ribena logos are at Rumba (although several blackcurrants still exist but they don't count as their are no logos on them)
