Considering this is the first thorpe blast how can we compare them. Just becuase Thorpe have held firework's in the past does not mean these are going to be anything like them. I'd also like to know Joe's reasons for prefering Fright nites considering this is Alton's first scarefest.Anywho.. neither.Earth in 2010 or Earth in 2055Exactly..

  8. MARC IN THORPE WAS AWESOME SHOCKERby Mark GilbertThe world was taken by storm today when Marc Simpson declared his trip awesome this evening. Previous trips have been called brilliant, amazing and "the best trip ever". This shocking news report comes as we get news that three, yes three rides at the theme park are closed. (cont. on page 4,5 and 6)

I don't know how but somehow music in the queueline created tension. Parituclarly if your a younger adult and you are already slightly frightened of the ride you'll notice the ticking clock, the electric sounds from the music far more. Fear and adrenaline heighten the senses which is why it seems to be on most rides pre 2007. Think of Vortex's calmer music, Slammer's fire sounds, Rush's upbeat loading music.

I wish the Germans at Holiday park were as efficient
  23. Ah Carousel and CCR. Well if we're counting the beach then. Alton has the Gardens, the dungheap, the Gloomy walk thing, Skyride, monorail, Golf, 2 hotels, Cariba Creek, ug Swinger.AAAAAAANNNNNDDDD STRIKE!
  24. Young PeopleAlton- Doodle doo derby, River bank eye spy, Squirrel Nutty, Ug Bugs, Drivers School, Bish Bash, Tractor Ride. Total=7Thorpe- Octopus Garden, Rocky express, Banana Ride & Fungle Safari. Total= 4 (Octopus Garden equals one attraction as they are essentially large pay per ride that you don't pay for )Family RidesAlton- Log Flume Unplugged, Congo River Rapids, Runaway Mine Train, Duel, Blade, Corkscrew, Ug Swinger, Hex, Teacups, Charlie ride, Spinball Whizzer. Total=11Thorpe- Loggers Leap, Flying Fish, Depth Charge, Teacups, Rumba Rapids, Pirates 4D. Total= 6Thrill ridesAlton= Nemesis, Air, Ripsaw, Rita: Queen of Speed, Submission,Enterprise, Oblivion. Total=7Thorpe= Colossus, Stealth, Nemesis Inferno, Samurai, Slammer, Rush, Vortex, Zodiac, Tidal Wave, Detonator, X:\ No Way Out. Total= 11And that concludes the lesson. Whilst thorpe does cater slightly there isn't a good balance of family attractions. Alton has far more for everyone and doesn't rely on rubbish such as Fungle Safari.

Why are you people getting so uptight about people wanting to turn Thorpe into a super thrill park. This topic is called YOUR THORPE PARK not what Thorpe should do in the future.
