Another year of near constant Thorpe bashing. Still, at least you found two positives.
-
STOP GOING THEN SERIOUSLY. Week in, week out, you tell us how bad Thorpe is. Any reasonable person would have called it a day but you keep objecting yourself to this stuff.
-
Make sure you go back next week and report to us whether they have improved!
-
was it chosen by the park to keep it closed today as well then.

RIP in peace. In memory of our beloved Skyswat.

That issue could be solved by putting numbers on the pods like at Chessington. Only issue then is that loading becomes a bit of a mess.

I'm someone who has loved and hated Samurai. In it's toned down, tame Thorpe location it has on the rare occasion surprised me but majority of the time it is a glorified ferris wheel. Maybe that's okay for the up for it families that Thorpe want to attract, I don't know but for one of the most thrilling rides in the planet, I find Samurai embarrassing. Now, the thing is with a new Top-Scan, I want Thorpe to get rides that are going to last generations, not ones that have a five year shelf life at best. It's been a valiant effort to keep Samurai going, but lets face it, if they'd just packed it in around 2011 when it started spending half the season closed, a lot of wasted time would have been saved. Slammer's been open more this season, even Smiler has. Do we really want another ride that in 2020 will be closed more then it is open? If the answer is yes then so be it, but lets face it we don't know if the park are even considering this. Finally, of course Samurai is popular at Thorpe. It's wedged in between two rollercoasters, it spends 2/3 minutes zeroing and it has a throughput that makes Rattlesnake blush.

Definitely starting to prefer the Disney/Universal way of disclosing everything beforehand. This discussion has just gone plain weird.
-
is it worth it. A new Topspin will just go the way of this one. it arrived at Thorpe basically a brand new ride and look where we are now.
-
You guys want it to last the weekend right? Its barely going to make it to the end of the season so of course it's going to be running slowly.
-
My favourite thing about Universal is that they're not just throwing in attractions left right and centre but the work they're doing with Hulk and done with Spiderman in the past, shows how the Harry potter license has completely reinvigorated the parks. It's quite something.
-
Seriously thought you'd been on a lot more then me. 12 more isn't all that much. My coaster enthusiast credentials remain intact. Phew.
-
If it opens before this weekend, I expect it to be closed again by the end of Sunday.
-
It's not just me that finds that really creepy and disturbing right?
-
Dead as a door knocker. It's amazing it lasted this long as it was, by the end I was treating every ride as a final ride. Bye Slammer you unreliable, amazing ride. I shall miss you.

You sicken me.

Saw someone earlier that was vaping so much I thought they were on fire. I like your idea and think we should email Thorpe this idea.

Awkward..

It's okay, no one reads the Daily Star.

Inferno is such an under-rated ride, at night is when it truly comes alive. Love hearing comments like yours when it comes to a ride I've alway regarded rather well.
-
Historically that day has always been completely empty.

Utterly sublime. Chessington was the theme park that got me into rides and rollercoasters and my earliest theme park memory was that first room with Zappomatic. Too know that there was a heart and soul behind Fifth Dimension really makes me feel honoured to have ridden it. Although in relative terms it was a complete failure as a ride, it's humbling and fantastic to know that as a show it was revolutionary, cutting edge and completely ahead of its time. You can tell that massive lessons were learnt from the way Fifth Dimension was done when Bubbleworks opened in 1990. I applaud your video EB, it has shone a light on a ride that has pretty much been forgotten and a ride that very few people got the chance to experience.
