Posted March 7, 201015 yr comment_85077 There's no doubt that Chessington is one of the best themed parks in the UK, full of quirkiness and beautiful design, each area transporting you all over the world. Here you can talk about anything to do with Chessington's themed areas. Got any pictures? Post them here! Shun the non believers.... shunnnnnnn.
March 7, 201015 yr comment_85080 I Loved Beanoland. That was good themeing. However, I do love Mexicana too, though it is in need of a little TLC.
March 7, 201015 yr comment_85082 Agreed with the consensus, Thorpe's "lets paint it blue" philosophy is far superior.(Just a shame, some of Chessington's best themed rides and area are now gone )
March 7, 201015 yr comment_85089 I love the one of Vampire's organist above! It is extremely sexy Mikey! :PI do agree, despite what people say, that Chessington World of Adventure s is one of the best for scenery within the park!
March 8, 201015 yr comment_85111 Awesome topic Here are a few of mine....I've tried to only choose ones which haven't already been uploaded Crappy picture but I love this bit of theming in Rattlesnake's queue.
March 8, 201015 yr comment_85126 Ah I love the one of Dragon's Fury. Where was that taken from? I assume one of the play area's in Land of The Dragons?
March 8, 201015 yr comment_85128 Yeah that's right, you get some absolutely beautiful views of Fury from up there so it's almost a shame it's only for young adventurers
March 8, 201015 yr comment_85171 Hmmm on my next trip to Chessington I really need to actually go IN to the Land of The Dragons

June 7, 201213 yr comment_137875 I had been wondering what happened to the Weather House from Chessington. Last year it was the other side of the pond (ie adjascent to Toadie's Crazy Cars). It was an ex-ToyTown relic where you pressed a button and either a man with an umbrella (+Umbrella Song) or a lady with an ice cream (+Sun Has Got His Hat On) would appear. It needed to shift for Madagascar and out of interest I got in touch with Chessie, they said that it has gone on the basis that it no longer fits in with the theming (I.e. was ToyTown). No indication that it would return. Shame I don't have the space... I could have made an offer for it and kept my daughter amused in the back garden for weeks... My daughter (5) keeps asking me where it has gone!
