  1. After Runnymede's recent site rebuild its now easier to find past planning applications, some of which are quite interesting including plans from when RMC planned Tidal Wave, before Tussauds took over and gave us what we have today.Just head to http://planning.runnymede.gov.uk/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/GeneralSearch.aspx and enter "Thorpe Park" under address. Enjoy
  2. I think it will need to be a more towers / lego type thing personally.Theres a travelodge planned to open up the road in chertsey, so thorpe need to do somthing special to make it attract to people over that.
  3. I'm sure some of them pictures are actually from when the plane was up at towers.. could be wrong though.Either way looks great!

There is no option to do this no, sorry!
  5. Nice find!
  6. To be fair it's only the tipping buckets which didn't make it on storm surge, which had a much lower budget and to add to that budget cuts along the way.I think we will see these effects on the swarm(null)
  7. There is no doubt as we lead up to the opening of The Swarm there will be huge media attention surrounding the ride, so please place any media related to The Swarm herehttp://www.google.co...11322745044214A - Found this, looks like its already had its first marriage proposal!

Hi all,Been working on a few bits and bobs today, I know a few people have been having some problems with the new software, hopefully all should be ironed out now, but if anyone is having any more problems please do let us know, but before you do we recommended clearing all cookies / history associated with Mania hub, this has fixed alot of issues for my self.On a side note if you head to your profile and click on "Edit My Profile" you now have a Manage Facebook button, this will link up things such as your profile pictures / status's with the forum, its pretty customisable so you can choose exactly what's posted where.Let us know of any additional comments.CheersMarc

    Glad you think so!

There is quite alot going on on the main view which your phone browser probably can't handle very well, IPB reccomend either using the mobile skin or their own app.
  12. It should work fine, most audio problems at thorpe are more local to the ride Rarther than the park wide system
  13. In the last week of the season stealth single rider queue was being trailed as a disabled queue, so don't be surprised if that's gone next season too
  14. I guess anywhere where the track passes over guests there will be netting.
  15. Let them continue (and waste their own money) I say. I'm sure alton will be in the right so they are the only ones who will lose in the end..
  16. AFAIK they were still over budget for both days so I guess it was seen as a success. Its a shame theres no where in the park they could hold a display and it be watched by the number the park can holdOut of interest, was altons event 3 days then? I only saw it advertised for the weekend!
  17. http://planning.runnymede.gov.uk/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/Generic/StdDetails.aspx?PT=Planning%20Applications%20On-Line&TYPE=PL/PlanningPK.xml&PARAM0=175527&XSLT=/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/SiteFiles/Skins/Runnymede_AA/xslt/PL/PLDetails.xslt&FT=Planning%20Application%20Details&PUBLIC=Y&XMLSIDE=/Northgate/PlanningExplorer/SiteFiles/Skins/Runnymede_AA/Menus/PL.xml&DAURI=PLANNING theres the application, I hear phase one is due to start being built in February
  18. Was certainly the case this year, they dont really have the space to cater for any more people to be in the viewing areas for the display.
  19. True, and your right. But I guess in the reality that's not allways what happens, and they could of so easily left it down all day and simply told guests it would be closed today, sure it don't look great but people would accept that. I just thought was very good of them to go through the efforts they did for a few more hours of it running.
  20. I'm not to sure, tbh I saw Colossus go down but that was back up within 20 mins or so, didn't see storm surge's down time. And in reply to josh, yeah what mark said is what I meant
  21. It had a problem the evening before and closed early, I'm not sure on the exact details but even from watching the attendants they would push a button and it would take a good 20 seconds to do something which is usually instant.
  22. Hey guys,Just to let you all know we plan to take down the Park Guide sometime soon for abit of work, following in the footsteps of the park we will stop categorising the rides by Area and will do so by the rides thrill rating. There are a number of reasons behind this, as the park installs new rides its harder and harder to fit them in with the existing structure of the guide. CheersMarc
  23. 50+ minute queue was mainly a result of it being slow due to the problem it had... Would they have all gone to guest services and complained if it hadnt opened, a handful maybe.
  24. I find that a little harsh, IMO they more than made up for it by pretty much working on stealth all day to get it going for the last few hours of the season, with it being quiet they so easily could have left it down all day and no one would have really cared to much.
  25. With ccr going I'd like to see the area between Canada creek and lost city opened up as much as possible, would create a nice big open space
