  1. The Fright Night track is also playing at the entrance / dome. Across the park announcements cut in at random times with references to the clues around the park.
  2. When your walking down the corridors they are all marked area A to D I think, as you make way through you’ll hear announcements over the PA something like area b has been compromised, after that all the lights in “area b” switch off. It’s quite effective kostly if your at the back of the group looking behind you seeing the areas turn off behind you. That’s the changes being spoken about.
  3. It should be open for May half term as usual!
  4. Coasters stayed open till 6:30 today with how busy it was - pretty good atmosphere on park too, looking forward to the 10-10 in a couple weeks!
  5. That’s a mistake - Quantum isn’t open today - being worked on all day though.
  6. Really like the improvements over the past couple weeks - the queue line corridors are very well done with the lighting / sound, the station dispatch sequence with the lighting and sound is also very cool! Looking forward to seeing how it evolves!
  7. Yep still closed unfortunately!
  8. That said I’d be surprised if human error was possible whilst the rides in normal operation - from what was being said the ride was loaded in the station ready to go so not shut down or anything - very werid!
  9. http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2018/05/new_cedar_point_ride_steel_ven.html There goes any slight chance of Thorpe getting one! Thankfully no one injured, sounds like some damage to the trains though and possibly the track.
  10. Not seen anthong to suggest it will be an upcharge but who knows. As said - I guesss it’s a gesture of good will towards those who couldn’t ride it when it was closed for the last AP event, Hopefully they make it clear on the day so those non Ap people who want to ride can get on before it closes!
  11. I thought there was theming in the tunnel ? Not a huge fan of what they’ve done to the dragon, I think the big tiger head over the drop looks great, the station also looks really good with the lighting / sound effects.
  12. Over the last few closed days Swarm has seen some work, The Rear of the console has now had its painting finished, this should hopefully be abit more durable to guests than the stick on police style colors. The beams in the station have been painted to make it look abit better, hopefully just temporary till they can replace the wood in there properly. The water effects are also now working and back on again. Still a couple of little bits not working, the sound volume around the area is still pretty low and the bell tower sound effect still isnt working but hopefully this can be fixed soon!
  13. Yeah I assume that’s what it’s for which is pretty good of them - fingers crossed it’s running well then!
  14. Thorpe will be open 10-10 on May 19th - The Walking Dead: The Ride will be open exclusively for pass holders between 5pm and 10pm too. https://www.thorpepark.com/blog/need-a-place-to-celebrate-on-may-19th
  15. It’s easy to say they are terrible etc - but parks don’t make cuts like it for the fun of it, they know it’s not ideal, they know it will affect people’s days, but only they truly know what the state of finances are and what they need to do to help balance the books - that said it’s quite extreme closing rides rather than staggering the opening abit! Can only assume they are massively struggling this year which is a shame - but smaller company’s can’t absorb costs as easy as say Merlin can if needed.
  16. Usually there’s a re-validation fee to change the date (£5 I think) - judging by the late reply I guess the responses got them to think twice on this one! I still don’t think the original reply came across how they intended it mind!
  17. They can’t offer an exchange / refund - they are non refundable - I didn’t think that particular tweet was that bad just abit tounge in cheek? I like the reply’s to it mind saying she can do what she wants with her tickets - will look abit silly if they end up being blocked by them!
  18. I’m not sure the budget would of stretched quite that far! This is thorpes “low” capex year so a whole new ride as always pretty unlikely!
  19. Touch wood after it’s few days down it seems to be behaving much better - hopefully it stays that way!
  20. You’ll not get many chances to be riding rides at Thorpe at midnight! CHERTSEY, Friday 13 April 2018: THORPE PARK Resort has announced that for the first time in its 38-year history, it will open its gates at midnight on Tuesday 24th April 2018 for 1,000 lucky fans to experience its new attraction The Walking Dead: The Ride for free. Wicker Man

This exactly - they didn’t remove it for the fun of it - replacing it will be a much tougher job than removing it - it’s better to open like that and fix when possible than close it to fix.

It’s not turned off, it’s broken, it will be fixed - but don’t let that get in the way of merlin bashing
  23. Looks nice! Good to see BBQ space not going to waste

Not 100% sure - but the fastrack sign has been removed from the entrance too so I guess possibly not.
