It was the busiest ive seen the park this season, I guess with it being the only good day weather wise of the bank holiday everyone decided to visit then!

Fastracks already in and didnt seem to have any excessive queues on a very busy Sunday?

Vortex / Rush area plays the lost city ambiance. As far as I know theres just Chart music on the beach and dome at the moment. One step at a time!

That will just be part of the tests they need to do, looks like it was maybe e-stopped?

Yesterday morning the screens were not there at all so they've done quite a good job! It will look good when the graphics are up either side of the screen, not going to lie though can't wait to hear entrance music back

It sounded much louder yesterday than it was earlier in the season, unless its been turned down again!

New for 2014 - King Pigs Wild Hog Dodgems! They were pretty fun yesterday - they run at a good speed and the length was pretty good, hopefully they are able to run it like this during the busy months too.

The effects used are... Thats all I can remember for now.

Detonator was/is close to perfection anyway its audio suits it down to a tee!

Maybe there are things like that for a reason? The "angry birds" bit on the sign is their brands logo so can totally see why maybe Rovio didn't want it in the same font?Don't see why anyone would "laugh their heads off", everyone seemed to be enjoying them selves in the area yesterday whilst enthusiasts will slag it off the vast majority will enjoy it which is surely the main thing for the park, we would love things like the swarm each year but budgets would never allow it. As long as the park continue to progress forwards I'm happy, some will be smaller than others but this is a huge improvement over the miss mash they had before and the whole area has a nice atmosphere too.

Yeah its one movie - although its very well and professionally done - it looks good and people seemed to love it!

Found some new Swarm pens today which make the actual Swarm noise when you push down the button - love it!

Slammer was testing again today - I'm guessing it must be getting close now!

It's probably worth visiting before making such judgments - judging the whole area on a few pictures taken on a miserable day seems more like you don't want to like it more than anything. The area is bright, fun and family friendly, all of 3 are a major thing the park lacked till now. The dodgems like any other dodgems are good fun and the staff interaction on them so far has been very positive. The 4d show is very good - the quality of the movie is very high and the use of special effects has been done well.

New for 2014 the Angry Birds 4d experience! The show is actually very good - the seats and the use of multiple special effects has been done very well, seems to be getting a good reaction on park which is good to!

Both of them pictures were actually taken at least a week before opening...

Both of them seem to suffer from the same problems - to be fair they both are pretty reliable now too though *touch wood*

Not heard the queue work the couple times I've been on but the exit Tvs have worked when I've been there - are the Tvs at the bottom of the lift working now?

I think some launch coasters spray water on the launch its self to help cool it down? Could be wrong though!

Thorpe Park have announced on facebook that Angry Birds 4D, The Dodgems, Stealth, Nemesis Inferno and Teacups will all be open between 18:00 for 20:00 this Saturday for annual pass holders. Pretty decent of them!

See you say its outdated but as Peaj said theres a planned movie/TV Series in the pipeline, its hard to tell what potential this IP has - I'm sure the same arguments were said about Saw when that was built and its done well for them so I dont see why Angry Birds cant too.
