It's very easy sitting behind a keyboard saying it won't work and doing some maths based on guessed ride throughputs but none of it is fact. Let's look at things logically for a second - I know there are people who will never like this system because it will affect THEIR days , but Thorpe has to cater for the majority of it's guests not the minority. Thorpe are the only ones who truly know how well this is working / not working, looking at twitter for a few good / bad comments and looking at the queue times from home is no real indicator to how the systems working. If the system works and the majority of the feedback is good then the park will continue to develop the system, if the feedback is bad then they won't, it really is that simple. We represent a tiny minority of the parks guests, and as I said only they will know the true success of this system.

The way you talk about the place you would never enjoy visiting anyway so RnR will make very little difference to you! I think if they can get the majority of the GP to understand the system and how it works then they will see the benifits and start to use it, but I think guests understanding it is going to be the biggest problem for them to overcome.
-
Thing is theres very little choice for the park, for RNR to work, it HAS to have priority over the main queue. RnR as it stands is a free system and those who are stood in the queues can and no doubt will see the advantages or using it and will start to do so them selves. My only worry with RnR is what will happen on quieter days and if there will be a magical number of guests where they decide RnR should operate but I guess we will find out soon enough if the trails continue to be successful and they choose to implement it more.

Hate to disappoint you as I know your really hoping this system fails but the trials over the past few days have been very successfull and the feedback from those who use it sounds very good.

You can still queue normally if you want - but it works in your favor to use reserve n ride. After looking over social media it looks to have got nothing but good feedback today!

This year in addition to the coasters Tidal Wave, Storm Surge, King Pigs Wild Hog Dodgems and Storm in a Teacup have been open.
-
Noticed Summer Nights signs said you could stay for just £10 - not sure if this is for annual pass holders too! Was a nice crowd tonight - not to dead to be soulless but no queues

Stealth was closed for the first hour so I think it may have been because of that but Stealth did open

The 'Definitely 100% Totally Going to Happen' London Resort

Not quite, but nothing in them ever stays out of it for too long, the big bosses will have plans in place to action if they need to. -

As I said I don't think you can read to much into what Merlin release into the public domain, any company in a similar situation will of course publicly state they believe in their product and are confident for the future. Internally they will of course monitor the situation and have plans to change if needs be. -

I'm sure publicly (Staff news letters are pretty much public!) Merlin will say its business as usual, it would be silly to state anything different but I'm sure should it ever happen there are / will be plans in place to minimize the hit to their business and remain competitive. -
But then if you don't brace your self on Nemesis you can hit your head, Whilst I agree you shouldn't have to ride in a certain way to enjoy a ride (Like Bacco inside seat) I don't think having to brace your self on a thrill ride is much to ask personally!
-
Theres no doubt you can hit your head on Colossus, but if you brace your self (as your told to do!) its fine and I don't ever hit my head.

Makes sense when the park closes at 6. When the park closes at 7 wouldn't surprise me if it goes back to 7:30

Nothings been confirmed yet all just speculation at the moment!

Yeah you still need a wristband, have collected them from the AP office and Advance tickets in the early afternoon!

Thorpe Park Summer Nights Meet Saturday 2nd August 2014
Marc replied to AJ 's topic in TPM 2014 Meets
This may make the park pretty busy so id recommend booking Summer Nights tickets in advance just in case! -
Not sure I agree rita is Comfortable, both hurt in different ways - for me id rarther do Baco - the ride is so intense and insane its worth the pain! Its surprising how much more intense the launch feels than Stealths but is only a few mph faster.
-
I know, thats the point I was making to say comparisons to the linked video being quite difficult!
-
I dont think bulking up the girder will make any difference, I expect it dont vibrate so much more because it dont really do much, Baco is smooth when its on the launch too!

Was there again tonight - was certainly busier than Friday - although queues were still generally pretty good - most I saw was Stealth at about 10 mins, the rest was just a couple trains wait. Find the atmosphere much better when there are a few more at these events and they are not totally dead!
