Expecting short queues gives you a more likely chance of being dissapointed. Never ever go to Thorpe Park expecting short queues. I went on two sundays last year in September (bear in mind Saw wasn't there), and the queues were still pretty high (Colossus + Stealth 90 minutes, Nemesis Inferno + Rush 60 minutes etc). Anything can happen but never go expecting it to be quiet.

Vampire is in a way the icon to Chessington like Stealth is to Thorpe Park, it's what Chessington is remembered by so I'd say it is a fairly big deal. Not catastrophic but I'd expect Chessington to make as much of an effort as they can to re-open it. Not that they don't anyway.

Just one month ago on a Sunday (may have been May 10th) Colossus was literally a walk on for the hour and a half or so. Only rode it twice though, otherwise I'm just riding straight into a headache .

2007 had to be its worst ever year for reliability. Didn't open until April and when it did it was closed for what must have been half the season!
