That's not what's happening though is it Josh. It is neigh on impossible to get planning permission for ride structures on green belt land. Moving the zoo over there will allow progress for the theme park. The park can't win really, one minute they don't care about the park, one minute they're neglecting the zoo. That's not what's happening, I think the park are just looking at all of the options so they can progress forward rather than just being stagnated, arguably like they have been as of late in terms of new rides.

"Mummy!" "Mummy!?" "MUMMY!?!""Go to your room"Doctor Who references anyone? In all seriousness, looks like you enjoyed yourself Josh. I still can't help but feel Wanyama is just so barren. I don't particularly enjoy seeing animals behind fences.

Having visited the site and played the sims myself, I can confirm that it's a top class site. Really enjoyable and a lot of thought and creativity has gone into the sims on there.I love the Revenge of the Mummy one. I think that's my favourite actually.

What an absolutely phenomenal recreation!

I really wish I had a VCR- DVD copier. I have some great footage of Tidal Wave from 2002, including the water tower and gas tank effects. I particularly loved the massive explosion of water before the fire erupted. It'd be great for those people who weren't lucky enough to see it in person.

Congrats Kev, don't forget to behave yourself!

Regardless of the specifics, surfaces across that area may need to be ripped up to access the piping. I have no idea where the old piping route is, but potentially it could run over to Stealth, which may require that whole area to be ripped up too. It's a massive job!

There have been rumours floating around pretty much every closed season- the water tower and gas tank to Thorpe Park have become what the Air tunnel is to Alton Towers! It is nice to know that there are certain people who would love to see it return but for whatever reason (mainly budgetary I'm assuming), they've not been implemented. The water tower seems like a much more viable option. If they cannot re-instate both effects, I'd still love to see the water tower back!

I have a few thoughts on this really. Firstly, if this happens then it will be the single best thing Thorpe have done other than installing Tidal in the first place.Secondly, as others have said, it could be for a general repaint rather than anything substantial, it is not uncommon for elements such as this to receive a lick of paint once in a while, even at Thorpe.Lastly, I do agree that it would make sense to kill two birds with one stone what with heavily rumoured fire effects on Swarm said to be appearing, then why not bring back Tidal's old effect? I'll be honest, all I know about the history of the effect is that pipes and the gas itself had to be destroyed when building Stealth. If this effect was to come back, wouldn't major works have to be carried out under the ground surface to repair and reconnect those pipes? I don't see it as something that can be done without ripping up park surfaces.

They also said they were interviewing Keith Workman, back in December. Still no information about the elusive interview!

Am I making a dense comment when I say we're riding a swarm? Ie- lots of the blighters? Perhaps that is why they've gone for the faces on each row. Also, it has to be said, those crash dummies do remind me of this:

Many apologies, jammy! Images are allowed. I'll pester an admin to change that guidline straight away so the confusion doesn't happen again.

Well, I believe there have indeed been issues with clearance around the station fly-over. This can be seen by the red spray painted area on the video Thorpe sent TPM. Here it is if you haven't seen it: They've chosen to make the most out of the situation by doing a tongue-in-cheek PR stunt. What difference does it make to theme park fans in reality? Well I'd argue that it got us some extra official pictures of the ride. Beautiful! I never noticed the Swarm head was on every row until now.

Having not actually ridden the ride and heard the new music, I have to agree with Dan! When people were talking about the improvements last year I was expecting a playlist of several tracks. The music in the above video seems a bit... non-eventful. Not sure what it's like whilst you're on the ride.

Oh sweet B&M Dive machine themeing! Heide's progress on installing Krake's drop feature is coming along very well, don't you think?
-
Some absolutely fantastic themeing and landscaping coming along with this ride. I hope I do get a cance to ride it next year!

The exact itinerary does vary; otherwise it'd be literally the same everytime! Though if you read the above posts about what to expect then that is literally all of the information you need and can possibly have to prepare you for your Assessment.Regarding inductions and training sessions, they'll usually phone you to arrange this, though I'd keep that as a question to ask the team to show that you're inquisitive into the role.

It's in the bottom left, through the trees, you can see the orange base, nose and then the white body.

I found this really entertaining. Pretty talented guy!

So this is what happens when you don't read food packaging instructions properly! Let this be a warning to all of you!

Will the UK ever produce another world class coaster?
Sheepie replied to mccoaster's topic in General Discussion
^ Agreed. Oblivion, for me is the epitome of world class design. Even to aspects such as the queue, which is a constant spiral upwards to the ride's station. I love the way the ride plays with the emotions. As you say, the entire package is just perfect and is no wonder that it is still one of the most intimidating experiences in the theme park world. -
So a certain Miss Clarkson has been running a request feautre for her tour. Fans can tweet songs they'd like to hear her sing; it can be a cover or one of her lesser known tracks. Last night, she covered Coldplay's Fix You. Love it!

Hey Jack! Welcome to the forums; I'm stoked that you decided to join in on the discussion. Also, great to see another Scare Actor/ Scare Industry geek like me. :PA-Kid suggested music that has the same style as the Misfits soundtrack. I think music along these lines that produce the same atmosphere would be perfect for the area!
