So I just went into the kitchen and saw snow falling outside. But it only seemed to be falling in one spot, and looked like it was glowing or orange, like sparks. I panic a little and start wondering if there's a fire next door or in our roof - we're currently dealing with a rat and mouse problem in the loft, and for the past 20 minutes or so the lights have been flickering off, so I thought they'd chewed through electrics or something And when I looked out the front window I couldn't see any snow Now I feel like a complete wally

Thanks everyone for another great meet! I actually ice skated this time - haven't bothered the last two meets - and it was good fun! I haven't been for years so it took some getting used to again; I thought I'd be a bit more confident about stepping onto the ice, felt like Bambi Soon got back into it though and it made me want to go more often or go roller blading again like when I was a kid! I got some amusing videos and photos/video stills too Bowling was booked up until the evening so we had the meal after ice skating. We did attempt to be organised and book a table at TGIs but Guildford was packed and they were fully booked, couldn't get through to the Beefeater so we ended up at Frankie & Bennys, which was strangely quiet compared to everywhere else! Pina colada Bowling was a good laugh as always. I got the first strike A few seconds before Peaj got his, followed soon by almost everyone Mr Fish's bowling technique is still, er, interesting (and we noticed that he does a backwards dance thing afterwards), but Toofpikk? He just throws the ball (and nearly himself!) down the alley! Shame I didn't video it, but I do have slo-mo Fish post-ball-throwing shuffling/dancing "Midnight bowling" was awesome too! Creams was a nice end to the day, strawberry and choc waffle was just <3 Was completely stuffed afterwards! That's pretty much my trip report Photos and videos will appear soon, possibly, maybe. For now, enjoy Toofpikk with a bag of lots of lollies hanging from his ears.

SATURDAY - simply the best record ever made. There are a lot of brilliant songs out there that I love, but this is just incredible: http://youtu.be/UDoEqBas4Y0 It's beautifully epic. It's moving - in the way that when the song picks up again and from that point onwards, it feels like a breakthrough, like I can achieve anything, like some wonderful, inspirational ending. Perfectly fitting for its title and the last song on the album "Hurry Up I'm Dreaming". Again, thanks to Sidders (and Valentez ) for getting me into M83, such amazing music that really takes you out of this world. Also gotta mention Imagine Dragons Well, I hope you've all enjoyed the randomness of DJ Mer I'll leave you with a fun fact: my uncle has been DJing for years, has a show on Point Blank FM on Tuesday evenings and was at Ministry of Sound on Boxing Day night

Gaah! Ok after this I should actually post on time THURSDAY - anything goes Hmm, tricky. A lot of songs that are special to me are from when I was younger, purely because of the memories they stir up or I associate them with. But there are so many! Then there those whose lyrics mean something...! So, the main song I've chosen combines all these... My first holiday abroad was to Jamaica when I was 4, and my parents played reggae music quite often, particularly in the summer. So this brings back happy memories from childhood summers, and even though I don't remember actually hearing Bob Marley songs on any Caribbean holidays, there's obviously the association. I find the song and the lyrics so calming too; for years, I've often sung them to myself in my head during difficult times and/or to calm myself down Now this was a very tough choice, so I will post the other one because I really do love it as much, again mainly because of the lyrics... Firstly, I have to thank Sidders for introducing me to The Sound of Arrows, amongst other great music I think anyone can relate to the lyrics in this song, certainly the main lyrics/the title. For me personally, it's helped me through a lot over the past few years, and I can really relate to pretty much all of the lyrics. Then you have everything else in the song being so epic, and the beat is sort of "motivating". Also, I love the long intro and the fact that it's a lengthy song!

But it's so bad that it's kinda happy/cheerful, it reminds me of parties as a kid, and also of working on the last day of the season at Thorpe in 08 - they played this in the morning on Colossus, when the first guests entered the station and when the first train dispatched The video is hideous and makes the song even worse! I couldn't help laughing at the bus conductor spinning on the pole, the guys jumping around on the train platform, and the milk bottles - wtf?! Second http://youtu.be/RTjC6rxHz8g I love it! Alexander O'Neale - Criticize Quite a few Pet Shop Boys songs too I blame my brother!

RIGHT, apologies for the delay. As I said previously, I have no idea what my first record I bought was and I only had compilation CDs anyway. SO. I shall post a song from the earliest tape/CD (think we may have had this album on both) I can think of, and which is also the first time I had a favourite band/song. I asked for this CD/tape so it's close enough It may have even come out of my own birthday/Christmas money anyway - at this age (7), my parents kept hold of it MONDAY - the first record you ever bought Edit - Just remembered, I had a Spice Girls birthday party when I was 8
