  1. Wait so there won't even be an AP day at all? People were discussing it last night in chat as well, like when it might be and getting excited for it! *Confused*
  2. Yeah! The whole face is pretty scary IMO Especially the close-up shots! Ooh imagine watching it flying towards you, or rolling into the station! And the fact that it's kind of separate from the other rides, on the edge of the park, adds to that creepiness. Plus all the devastation in the area...gah! :D
  3. Cool beans. Now we've sorted that, back on topic please :)I love how comfy the seats and restraints look Don't you just wish you were a test dummy, sitting there chillin'
  4. OMFG!!!They are awful. LOL JK THEY'RE FREAKIN' AWESOME! :D *drools*They are simply amazing Wow!!!! Look just like they do on the poster, if not, better. The face is so scary and ugly which works brilliantly! And the LEDs! Yay! Ooh and they're all new and shiny ^_^Well done Thorpe!

    Television

I love Total Wipeout and Winter Wipeout, which is running at the moment. So entertaining Watching the contestants being thrown about, flung in the air, flopping about helplessly on the Log Jam and the Icy Stairs
  6. I always assumed that it has no roof because it's part of the theme, y'know, what with it being a destroyed church an' all :PWhatever the reason, personally it doesn't bother me, but I can see what people mean.

    CHRISTMAS!

Had a lovely day overall yesterday. Was lovely seeing my dad and everyone, they are all so lovely It was a shame my step brother wasn't there all day. Basically last year he was meant to be with his dad but he then decided to bugger off to South Africa with his bird. This year my dad and step mum assumes he'd be with his mum as usual regardless of what happened last year. But at the last minute his dad said he wanted to see him, so dad and step mum made a compromise. So he woke up at his mum's, got to see me, my brother and grandparents and then his dad picked him up and he went there for dinner and stayed the night. My dad moved house earlier this year and this was the first time we've visited. It is lovely Really nice and cosy, and they have 2 hens in the back called Tina and Chestnut :PThen when I got home my other grandparents were still there, chilled with more drink and watched the usual Christmas soaps lol. Drunk so much yesterday! Got to my Dad's at about 11 and had a sherry, then a malibu and coke, then champagne with dinner, then port, then a vodka and coke. Then had a nap in tue taxi home, had more port at home, then sherry, then a lime vodka and lemonade...then might have had a second one? I can't remember But because they were spread out throughout the day, plus all the filling food, I didn't ever feel drunk, just merry/very tipsy :PYou can't beat the taste of sherry though, it just screams Christmas! Anyway, currently got the grandparents here again and had a lovely second Christmas dinner with them earlier, we're now chilling in front of the TV watching the Strictly Come Dancing which we Sky+'d last night haha! Hope everyone else had a lovely day yesterday and is having fun today!

    CHRISTMAS!

HO HO HO! Because it's that time of year, so why not? So...what are you doing for Christmas this year? Do you have any traditions? What do you hope to get? Or do you just appreciate the food, music and family etc? This year I am going to my dad's (with my brother of course) for Christmas dinner, with his parents, then coming back home to Mum's in the evening. She is having her parents over and they will be there in the evening, so get to see both parents and both sets of grandparents, yay! We're waking up at Mum's though, my dad knows it wouldn't be the same if we didn't! Then on Boxing Day, my mum's parents are coming over again for another Christmas dinner, and me and my brother will be there too Don't know what else we are doing regarding seeing the rest of the family, we aren't really a family who make strict plans, apart from inviting grandparents over for dinner as that obviously requires planning. As for New Year's Eve, we are very last minute and my mum always says how she hates it and not knowing what to do. We usually go round my aunts but it's all good fun because there is plenty of drink, we are not a boring family! This New Years, I am venturing oop north to see Ben. Yay! We have some traditions! The biggest one is the Christmas music we play. It started off known as "The Tape". It is music my mum's parents played when she was a child, it's Christmas songs sung by Ray Conniff, and his singers So it's kinda old sounding music but it's a big family thing, everyone has a copy of "The Tape", although most of us have upgraded to "The CD" lol. My mum plays it around Christmas time and ALWAYS on Christmas morning, The first song, argh, as soon as it starts it's like...I dunno! Just so exciting and reminds me of being young and eeee Here it is http://youtu.be/Wcvn-xxkmlI Christmas morning - we all go downstairs, to the smell of turkey cooking; my mum gets up at around 4am ish to put it in and slow cook it, so that when we wake up we can smell it! Mmm! Mum makes tea, and puts the Ray Conniff music on, we open cards and presents...yaaay! The music reminds us all of being children and believing in Father Christmas etc. Another tradition is that we kiss this Father Christmas decoration when we get him out, and kiss him goodbye. It's not quite the same now my mum keeps the decorations in a cupboard and not the loft but still :L Here he is: Also in the background, you can see the stockings my nan (mum's mother) knitted years ago for each of us, with our names on! On Christmas Eve, I peel the sprouts for my mum :L It started a few years ago and now it's become my little tradition thing I do! And my mum always buys ham (although I think it's actually gammon, but whatever, a big round piece of hammy thing) and boils it with some vinegar and one pickled onion, something she got from her mum-in-law. It tastes niiiiiiiiice! We call it "Nanny Barbara Ham" lol. Oh and even though I've seen it so many times, I usually watch The Snowman when it's on. It makes me feel Christmassy and it's cute! Sad ending though! When my brother first watched it when he was little, he cried, bless him! And one of my favourites...THE CHRISTMAS TRUCK! When Father Christmas rides around town on his sleigh with the fake reindeer at the front, blasting out Christmas music, collecting for the local charities...I always film it and me and mum go out to wave! It remind me of being young and excited by Father Christmas and aah it's just so lovely and awesome and festive! Oh and of course, we have the traiditonal drinks - good ol' sherry and port. Really nice port - Cockburn's Special Reserve Port! Pronounced "Co-burns" according to my mum, but I just pronounce it how it's spelt hehe! And we always have champagne with our Christmas dinner, woo! In terms of presents, well it's been a long time since I had a big pile to open due to not having much money but I don't mind. Yes, I do miss that feeling of "Oooh all these presents to open!" but it doesn't make or break Christmas. Plus, I still do have things to open, usually a small thing or two from Mum and a few things from Dad, and of course I greatly appreciate the money receive from family. The music and food and atmosphere, seeing family, seeing people happy, the usual shizz on TV...it all makes Christmas. So yeah...in the words of Slade..."IT'S CHRIIIIISTMAAASSS!!"
  13. Oh well that probably explains it Silly TPM! :rolleyes:I've never used TPM's system tbh but now we know it doesn't work :PAnyway, just looked at the scans, wow! Very interesting to look at, especially the original ideas for XNWO and the rides that could have been! And LOVE the picture of Earl Mountbatten opening the park! ^_^Yay for Benjy!

I can't right click it, it just brings up the silly white loading box :POh and when I use the mobile skin on my iPhone, I get a message saying "You do not have permission to view this attatchment" I don't get it anywhere else on the forum though :oWhere are they uploaded to? Maybe it's the album privacy settings or something?
  15. I'm having problems viewing the photos. The white loading box comes up and the thing just goes round and round but nothing happens.I have tested other photos on the forums here and they work :huh:But yay for finally uploading them
  16. Oooh I love little things like being able to see rides from the distance I believe we had this conversation in chat room t'other day, about driving to a theme park and seeing rides in the distance etc :oObviously from Chertsey direction, you go over the bridge and see the whole park, but also you can see Stealth when coming from Staines direction, so I wonder if you can see Swarm now from that direction :oJanuary is upon us, hopeully it won't be long before we see these dam trains And TESTING

  20. Aww I'm happy with all the results Thanks so much to everyone who voted for me, particularly Sexiest Female I don't know what to say! Confidence boost much :PAnd well done to everyone else!
  21. You know what, I'm going to double post here because I don't want this post to go un noticed.Ben (Valentez) is an amazing member of the forums and there should be more people here like him He's a lovely, friendly person and doesn't get involved in all the petty arguments, very sensible!I'm gonna take a risk and be brutally honest here about something that happened earlier; I actually got pretty upset (cried) earlier with all the crap in chat. All I did was do my job as a mod and politely ask people to stop bullying behind someone's back, because it had gone too far, but for some reason I was made to look in the wrong and like the bad person Add that to how difficult I find people to understand as it is, let alone in that kind of situation where everyone is talking and getting angry...it was very difficult to deal with for me hence why I became so upset by it. Only 2 people actually asked if I was ok and made the effort to make me feel better - Ben and Will. So I just wanted to say thank you It's good to know there are people here who actually look out for others :') Normally in that situation I'd be upset and stressing over it for the rest of the day, worrying that I'd done something wrong, but thanks to these awesome two members, I felt better soon enough and realised that I hadn't done anything wrong at all :)Can't thank them enough to be honest!
