  1. Most of us here hate a TV programme, or several. I certainly have a few I hate, but to kickstart this topic, there is one that I must get off my chest. That programme is:Holby CityWhy do I hate it? Well first of all, I find the storylines rather false. There is so much drama in that hospital it is unreal, and if it's trying to give an insight into doctors and nurses working and personal lives, then they're totally wrong. The main reason I hate it is because one series has 52 episodes, with one episode broadcast a week. That's 52 weeks, one whole year! It is greed. Surely the BBC One controller must have a screw loose to allow this slot to be allocated for an entire year?!Maybe the BBC's Points Of View would be interested to know what I thought. So - which TV programmes do you hate?
  2. I hate people who rubberneck! It just goes to show what a nation of nosy people we are. Rubbernecking commonly happens on the motorway - we all have to have a look, even if we're travelling the other way - it's like a law! We see the other side of the motorway totally jammed, and we all have to be nosy and have a look. Well, keep driving, keep your eyes on the road ahead of you, and keep your nose out. It's got nothing to do with you.Rubbernecking could be used for other things, e.g. a Nemesis Inferno evacuation. We all have to have a look ("we" as in people nearby). http://www.thefreedictionary.com/rubberneckingI should change my name to Rubberneck!
  3. StealthChips or jacket potato?
  4. That so makes me laugh.I don't understand why an electrician is coming all the way from Alton Towers though?
  5. Yes, A-kid was joking, Outfit. Smell the sarcasm. What's left of the summer holidays!Obviously this is bad for Vampire and the park, but then is this the first real major problem with the chain they've had since the 2002 transformation?
  6. Is this the reason why Stealth failed to come back up for the rest of the day? Me neither, I was oblivious to the fact of the power failure.
  7. Yeah, first time I've seen it down since it was down for ages in late 2007.I saw Nemesis stuck on the lift hill yesterday, although I did get a ride in a couple of hours later. And I attempted Stealth twice, and it was down. Infact, I don't recall seeing it launch after 3:00pm. I left at 7:30pm and I'm sure it was still closed.
  8. It was runing like clockwork yesterday. At one point, I was sitting in Pizza Hut, and I couldn't see out, for the mist was so thick!
  9. I got both off Amazon for about a total of £21. It arrived within 3 days of ordering.
  10. Vicky Lloyd - or otherwise known as Coco from girlband Kandy Rain. She's the blonde on this page: http://www.kandyrain.me.uk/tag/coco-lloyd/She's done a lot work for Playboy and appeared in Nuts before - can't believe I've never heard of her! Keep an eye out for her on X Factor!
  11. Make that 2:To whom it may concern: this is not a criticism. To whoever made the logo, how did you get the Chessington font? I want it badly!
  12. The entrance music that was playing last year, is it still playing this year?
  13. Generally, on weekdays, they run the coasters with one train. They only add another if it's busy and needed.
  14. So we build, heading up: chain lift, launched, chain lift at top.
  15. Chips with salt and ketchupMilkshake or Ice cream float?
  16. Yeah, me too. And Oblivion's feels more "real" in a weird sort of way. Must be that gaping big hole.
  17. After you've released the chain lift do you mean put in a "launched lift hill" ?
  18. IndianNormal naan bread or garlic naan?
  19. OK, I've now added Wild and Soaked to my RCT3. I did have a job getting the game going after installation, but after inserting each disc and loading the game, and then inserting the main disc and loading the game, it did work. The extended coaster is there, and I've attempted a Saw recreation. I've managed to get a tower and half-loop done, but I can't seem to figure out how to get a chain lift hill vertically, as the option seems to be faded. It works on a 45 degree hill but that's no good for Saw.Can anyone help?
  20. This is what I don't get. At Thorpe earlier this year, Saw, Samurai and Colossus were all hit by a powercut. The front of Colossus' train was very close to the anti-rollback device at the top of the lift hill just when it was cut, allowing the train to stop there. I was waiting by the main entrance when it came back on, and it started off as normal - surely if Rattlesnake was on the lift hill chain it would do the same? Yes, it does - but the lights would be off during a powercut.
  21. Yes, I agree. I've been slated in the past for saying that I know what Rameses feels like, even though I've never been on it, or Ripsaw at Alton Towers. With this "Slammer effect" in parts of the ride, now will they believe me?
  22. I certainly would hate to be stuck inside Bubbleworks, Hocus Pocus Hall or Tomb Blaster.
  23. I saw a picture in the Daily Mirror of Rattlesnake about 5-10 metres up the lift hill, so luckily they didn't have far to walk back down the steps. And I saw Fury stuck at the top on YouTube, a if it had cut few seconds later it would be on the descent down. There was probably a few boats stranded on Falls' main lift hill? What happened when the power came back on? Did the rides start off where they left off?
