    Michael Jackson

Personally, I am shocked and saddened by Michael jackson's death. For me, he will always be a legend, his music is just brilliant. Who can forget the Thriller and the Moonwalk, 2 things he was extremely famous for.His birthday is coming up, it just saddens me to think that he's not going to be there to enjoy it. I hope that music channels and the like show respect on his birthday, and that something related will happen. As for your questions, I do agree that this death is bigger than Elvis (even though Elvis was awsome too!). I don't think the death was planned, no way
  2. The main ride is called The River of death. It's just a straight forward boat ride which goes down the hill backwards at the end. Think Bubbleworks, but shorter and with out all the noise. The other one is kind of like Detinator at Thorpe park. it's meant to show you how you get exicuted, lucky for me though I managed to avoid going on it (it's right at the end!).There's no other rides as such, but to experience the hairdresser part you do need to lie down on a bench. Think 4 d (with out all the good 4d bits!)Hope you enjoy it if you decide to go
  3. My report for 1st August:Arived at the park about 11, first thing I noticed was the theming regarding ice age 3. I've not seen the movie yet, but great way to promote.Entering the park, we headed for the Forbiden kingdom to ride Toomb blaster, we stopped just to check if RR was closed (it was!). Ended up with 2 goes on Toomb, my gun didon't work the first time and it spoilt the whole experience really!. At least I finally walked out the toomb with a respectible score and a smile. We were going to get a drink, but not having all that much money (we wanted to get pickamix and burger king) we settled on a minit made Fruit juice to share, actually quite refreshing. We did the pirate ship (my brother loved it!) even though he's still not convinced, I know he smiled all the way through it.After that, 2 relaxing rides back to back. Skyway and Peaking heights, oh and I got the audio on Skyway!. We were wondering who did the audio, thought it might be Steve irwin. Then it was fury, we were facing backwards this time round, made it more fun.Headed to the Beano, got a ride on the swings (got soaked!). Actually, I didon't think the water would be on in this weather, and sat down where you would usually get wet.By this time, we figured it would be cool to see some animals. We went to see animal antics (not that good but passed some time!). Hocus Pocus Hall, and the busiest I've ever seen it, not to mention the fact that there were some spoilt brats at the entrance... ugg!.Next up, sea lion bay. We were planning to see the show, but we were still extremely early and I told my brother I'm not wasting 20 minits looking at sealions!. Anyway, there were loads of wasps, I think it had something to do with the fact the guy next to me was eating the biggist orange you've ever seen, but hey let them fly around. As for us, we went to the Sealife centre. It was very good, got to go in the fish tunnel and see the new animals we didon't see last time round. While there, as it was still raining we did Creepy caves. We were dued to be picked up at half 4, and as it was half 3 figured we only had an hour. Headed for burger king, had chicken and chips... brother had a cheese burger.Went back in to Pirates cove to buy a pick and mix, 5 pounds on sweets... lovely! As we were heading out the gate, we were handed some voutchers (some kind of promotion?) and a questionair. Filled the questionair out on the way home, and now I'm back in the warm yay.All in all, was a great day. The only downside was the weather, but I can't say that no one warned me before hand!
  4. I am going tomorrow, hurray!. Means I can get another ride at Beano Land before it shuts.Mark, will you be there tomorrow?. I'd love to meet you.Let's hope weather stays good!
  5. Talking of Bubbleworks, I know I must go to Chessington again before the end of the season, If it's not there next year I'm going to be crying at the exit!. I'd just be so guilty if I didon't get my final ride, clapping along to the music, smiling at the surroundings and just for a few minits be the happiest person ever. That ride holds so many memories for me.I remember once it was closed all day, and when it reopened about 3, mum said I couldn't ride. only people with there face painted could go through!, some special promotion, she said. I later found out that she was tricking me, the truth is, I hate anything to do with paint and she thought it would be a clever way to make me enjoy it.Another memory I have of Bubbleworks is that I'll never forget the time the operator got really mad, and stopped the ride shouting at the top of her voice. Someone was standing, back to the fountains attempting to tip the boat, and yes, the edge of our boat, too. She kept saying, get off, get off and he wouldn't listen, and we ended up just carying on our journey. When we arived at the fountain part, he turned around, got everyone wet, then decked me and my parents for being on and started getting all violent. The ride stopped again, more shouting, and then the ride resumed. I am surprised he didon't fall in to the fountain. At the station he was escorted from the park, it was so funny to watch
  6. It's fun!. For some reason, reminds me of the old days when they used to have the magic carpet, oh and it's good to relive childhood, don't you agree?
  7. Yeah, well I suppose you've got me to scan the threads. I always post in the Chessington forum, mainly because I've visited it so much more than Thorpe.
  8. Maybe I can help you, what was it about?
  9. I've been on too many, hmmm.UK- Toom Blaster, X no way out, or Valhalla at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, It's the only ride of it's kind that I know in the world. As for abroad, again, too many to even start to mention. I love Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom, E.T at Universal Orlando, Spider Man also at Universal, Ocean odeseys in Spain,I think that's it.I'd say Posidon's fury, But that's a show, and as well as Legend of the Lion King and the Time keeper, they were the best ever, even though they were shows
  10. This is great. I love Peaking Heights, but I agree Eclipse is a far better name. It reminds me a lot of the London eye, with only a small exception, Peaking heights provides a better feeling and atmosphere, and it's much much shorter, but that goes with out saying. If Peaking heights went as long as the London eye, you'd hardly have time for anything else
  11. I have a story to share, too. We were waiting in the X no way out line, and we too got the anouncement it had broken. We waited for 50 minits, as it was the only ride left that I wanted to do. On hearing it was still not working after 50 mins, we decided to leave and go for something to eat. On arival at KFC we saw someone talking on her phone, that's good you're finally on, I thought it might be stuck for ages. When I asked her what she meant, she said her kids had just got on X. If only we had waited that little bit longer
  12. Duelling dragons are going?. I know some of my friends who would not be happy with that.As for Harry potter, I think it will be fun, even if potter mania is dying out now. Will be interesting to see what rides etc are included. Please could someone tell me where the new area is going to be?
  13. Thanks guys. this will go well with my Tidal Wave music
  14. Hey. Do you have any good websites that you can suggest? Thanks

  17. I am looking for the music from Posidon's Fury and Ripsaw Falls, so hope I can find that too
  18. This thread is just for Thorpe park, as it is in the Thorpe park section. I'd love the IOA soundtrack, I want the music for Posidon's fury and Ripsaw falls!Maybe a thread for general park music should be created
  19. Burger king. It's awsome, it does onion rings which makes it stand out.
  20. Has anyone seen this show at Islands of Adventure?. I love it, and must see it everytime I go. I think the effects, the storyline and even the setting is realistic.
  21. Did anyone hear about the storries on the news concerning Chessington lately?. In the last week, I've had 3 items of interest sent to me, 1 involving a burping parot being banned from the hotel, 1 involving some lady trying to ride Berry bouncers and was told to leave, and another one involving a 4 year old wondering out the park
  22. I have been to this park too, but prefered tyfoon lagoon!. I did like the Black hole though, and on my next trip I want to go to Aquatica and blizard beach!
  23. I agree with you James. I wouldn't go as far to say it's the worst audio track in the park, but I did expect better.
  24. I've never thought about the parks being owned by other companies, but then I suppose it's because I think our parks are great!.Okay, I'd like to see some rides like America (with really cool affects) but apart from that I think everything is going well.Chessington could never go against Thorpe, mainly because Thorpe try a new ride every year and the last new ride to be aded to Chessington was Fury (I think?). If we had a park owned by say Disney or Universal, it just wouldn't be the same. We don't have the weather and we don't have the money
  25. The Vampire music really fits a Transalvania theme. I do agree you have to struggle to hear it, but try breaking down on it or waiting in the station when it is broken down. The music is so loud and is the only atraction I can think of who keeps there music on while closed!. The station becomes so quiet that it's impossible not to hear it
