  1. Here is the plan, with heights and the two high supports that we've seen put in today.
  2. Already we have two very tall supports for the second inversion. Sure tonight they'll be some pictures.
  3. Certainlly not theming! I expect that the construction team are living on site.
  4. Raptor's transfer track is also in the second and last set of brakes and in regard to the speed it will take through the inline twist; again as Raptor; it's very calm and smooth. The ride will be ready for the brakes by then and being B&M there WILL be additional trims along the way anyway.
  5. When did people complain about 'doing it right'? Audio is usually very important during Fright Nights.
  6. If anything like Raptor and Krake, then I expect the train to have stopped before that turn, before picking up speed around the corner and stopped again into the final station approach.
  7. In regards to the parks Fright Night brand being 'poor', I think that it's important to remember the parks target audience, I had spend many unpaid days in, creating theming on Colossous, Slammer, Samurai and most of all on Rush that was often, totally destroyed straight away, and so I do think that it's good that the park have adopted this 'theme', that works well across the park and is a little less destructible, to so may 'target audience' members. While I think that the mazes; Asylum , Se7ven and the Curse bring nothing new to the park. Experiment 10, if it keeps up doing what it's doing, it will go down really well indeed, and is already getting great fan reviews!
  8. The new maze is without a doubt the best of them all, and the two times that I went through, I was taken in different different directions. It's hard to explain without spoiling it, but it really plays on a few fears!
  9. ANYWAY.. Exciting, we'll hopefully see this thing leap up in the next few weeks and they'll be plenty of pictures to come!
  10. No, I expect it will be directly over the station track.
  11. As Raptor, I expect the operator will be above the loading track, which already gives us an idea of the size and the station height..

I had a dream last night that I was at Island's of Adventure and Merlin had finally managed to get their hands on it! The result was all rides re-branded and ugly paint everywhere. Some theming was kept, but all Universal branding was re-moved and it looked oh, so very Merlin like.I'm Neilfever and these are the things I dream about...
  13. Will be interesting to see how simular to both Raptor and Krake's large ride music, The Swarm's will be and if the entire park is still playing chart music all over the place, how it will all come together.
  14. I think the moan JoshC, was that we fully expect to see bridges from the Swarm island soon enough, but until then; it's very short sighted to have once again certainlly on it's opening year, to build what is going to be a massivly popular-world class roller coaster onto a dead end island.
  15. Whilst I don't have a massive problem with it being bumpy, I do however take issue with another; Colossus at Terra Mitica. I can safely say that I will never ride that wooden coaster again in my life.Colossus at Thorpe is just uncomfortable due to the awkward restraints.
  16. ^ Great post and I totally agree (not about Rita though)!
  17. Hey Number 9, did you also partake in a pleasing on-ride DVD?
  18. This is exactly why Thorpe love a tidal wave theme, a deserted and abandoned theme, an apocalyptic theme...They can just let it rot and it infact, it looks better! However, stand back and look at the park as a whole and it just makes you want to wash your hands.
  19. Mickey Mouse upon hearing the news:
  20. Giving the thumbs up to a chunky B&M lift hill.

    Top 10's

Again, it's really hard to place them and I'm sure they switch about too! Kumba, Busch. For all it's shear force and bite.. Blue Fire, Europa. For it comfortable ride and crazy last inversion Nemesis, AT. Just gets more forceful every time I ride it Raptor, Gardaland. For all its sexiness and comfort Forbidden Journey, IOAA. shear engineering show wonder (despite all it's flaws) Revenge of the Mummy, UO. Crazy airtime, theme, and wow factor Oblivion, AT. Original and best, the tunnel adding the exciting bite iSpeed, Mirabillandia. Everything that Stealth is not Adventures of Spider-Man, IOA. Story, effects and engineering marvel Superman, WB Madrid. My last ride and memory, was just immense..
  22. Would it make any difference if it was pointed out that Krake was actually brown track; Raptor Grey and Thirteen Black? They're all different colours! To sum up the whilst-we-wait-for-it-to-go-vertical discussion; I wouldn't think The Swarm would be any a brighter a colour, and thank god too. Can you imagine Merlin ever re-painting it down the line when it's all faded?
  23. I went not long ago and it looks the same as always to me! Both versions of that ride in DLRP and at DHS, are soo dull. Infact Paris minus the story, is infact a more interesting ride due to the lighting. The black light palm trees, do nothing for me in Florida at all. If we had to choose a Vekoma; sort the trains out, and Space Mountain is where it's at for me!
  24. They're not going to remove it. It hasn't long returned! It's also worth pointing out that with the one way on and one way off Swarm island; a huge surge in population along that path, I think the fish will become a little more popular once again, target audience or not.
