  1. SO UGLY! Can't wait to see both beaches like that. Such a shame they wont pay to make it look better.. ughh
  2. Everyone knows that Merlin's always high figures, means they're the best. Even Saw was 'their most expensive coaster' wasn't it?
  3. I think Air is great at what it does, its calm and like Flying. The new flyers, are great, but with such tight, twisting elements, its full of head rush moments, which many find uncomfortable, so er, perhaps not like flying.I do agree however, that looks pretty awesome.
  4. FANTASIC read and such a shame! I loved the 5th Dimension.
  5. BLOW IT UP !http://yfrog.com/kesy5fnjWe have a name and a new look..
  6. Thought I'd drag this up, for those who aren't sure.. An area beside where the original Fish was, connected from Model World. The last big green area to go, for Stealth. Althopugh part was kept and is still there, under Stealth's launch track, where The Swarm boards have since gone up..
  7. ...and to think that it all started with a mouse.
  8. I'm glad that Dr Who was pushed to the back for a mo! I mean seriously. can you imagine a UK Merlin park to be that bold? A woody crossing three of its major attractions?!
  9. I'm shocked this topic isn't more alive following if not the news on a woddy, but those pictures. Epic doesn't even begin to cover it. GO EUROPA PARK.
  10. It's the remaining garden area behind Stealth..

    The Smiler

I think we can lay to rest the Flume being replaced by a Flume for now, ta..
  12. I believe that if a pathway and bridge is added from the Sunken Garden, it will be for the next coaster and not this one. Expect the Fish to close very soon too, for construction to really kick off.

    Rush

Indeed. Rush was offered with a huge discount as it was 'a first' and although Skyhawk is bigger, its ride cycle is A LOT shorther than Rush.

    Rush

Following the first full height swing, the ride performs faster and is more likely to go too high and E-stop itself.Typically, the last full height swing is the highest and fastest. I have much documentation on this one

I also think that it would be sad to loose The Flume. However, a new coaster could easily interact with it, as once the world's longest flume rides, there's TONS of wasted space under that ride area.In regards to the site size, remember Alton Looked at that for the whole Gloomy Wood Vekoma bike, broomsticks idea before Rita, did they not?Wasn't that area (beyond The Flume) gardens and lake all restricted?
  16. I think it's safe to expect the exact train style as Raptor and that any near misses will be just that. Infact whilst on board Raptor, the near misses don't feel close enough! It's also worth pointing out that riders on the inside seats DO have an arm guard keeping you well away from the close running wheels beside you.

Agreed. With Indy at DLRP, reversing the cars was a way to bring new life to the ride, although sadly it killed it. I never saw a long line over 15 mins whilst it went backwards and so the decision was made to reverse it once again, back to the good 'ol forwards motion and it was once again a fairly busy little coaster.X has a lot of possibility, but its obvious now that the park just won't spend a lot of money to do anything with it.
  18. Raptor rides best at the back and there IS a slight judder on the outside seats, but nothing painful or uncomfortable. Whilst the front is fun, I'd go for the back and on the trim front; you can best your life The Swarm has one or two of the buggers along the way..

    Logger's Leap

Don't go boasting that you have a camera, as many ride staff look out for them and tell you not to do it. It is dangerous, imagine if you dropped it from a height onto someones head? Although, unlike on TPR that get all high and mighty on the issue, every theme park fan I know at somepoint has done it. Just be careful!
  20. A never before seen roller coaster? That's a bold statement..
  21. I can't believe how spoilt we are next year. This really is looking great.
  22. "The teenager has an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of Thorpe Park’s history"Ok, anyone on here? Time to own up. 'Jeez, I thought I was a big fan..
  23. Before anyone does anything, I think we should know what we actually want to be themed. The lift hill, the frame on the top, the entire ride?!There's only so much they could do. Oblivion is a different matter.
  24. I think it's worth a try, why not! Although to be fair, I think there are many other things that would be higher on my list.
  25. Thats a pretty negative review of the park! I love PA, although with a huge B&M hyper on the cards for next year, I'd personally hold off on a trip until then.
