  1. Most people are at school/work in the week, also more people are likely to take a Monday/Friday off work rather than a Tuesday. Another thing is not everyone realising Thorpe is open yet.

First 5 minutes of It Follows was very very strong for some people not knowing what the film would be, surprised more people didn't walk out at that point. But yeah to reiterate what Amy said, it's such a fantastic horror film and it's out today so if horror's your thing, go check it out!
  3. Midweek in March is never usually busy at all.

My family all said white and gold, I see black and blue, very confused.

From what you've heard? They've got posters up in the park promising "world class bands and artists"
  6. Ryan replied to Sheepie's topic in Stuff
    I'm confused
  7. Portal 2. My turn: "Everyone loves some good quotations! Someone posts a quotation (from anywhere) and the others just try to guess who and where the quotation comes from!"

It said on the boards outside that mobile phones must be switched off and I THINK no filming allowed, they weren't enforcing it as far as I'm aware though.

Amy leave the trolls alone, they've got enough on their plate.

After the distressing scenes witnessed in Pizza/Pasta at Thorpe Park over the size of their plates, I got thinking about my ideal food carrier. Would it be circular, square, deep, wide, metal, paper? There are just so many different varieties on offer and this is a place for you to post your ideal buffet plate. It's an absolute disgrace that Thorpe's plates are only small enough for 3 slices of pizza at a time, clearly someone in Merlin has never been to a high class pizza buffet restaurant such as Buzz Lightyear's Pizza Planet at Disneyland. I'll kick it off with a fairly basic plate, but feel free to be a bit more adventurous with your choices. Hopefully Thorpe Park will take notice of this topic and change their plates to something that suits our needs much more efficiently. So tell me TPM, what would your favourite plate be?

Wish the main season would hurry up, am I seriously reading complaints about plate sizes in a BUFFET restaurant? The multiple walks up to the pizza counter will do good to burn off some of the calories!
  12. Ryan replied to Marc's topic in The Past
That happened when I went last weekend, so I'm guessing it is part of the show!
  13. It's planned opening is either the 3rd or 4th week of March, so fingers crossed (I love how no meet is complete now without a visit to Creams)
  14. One thing I quickly thought of, but I'm not sure how it works so I may be wrong. But... assuming "I'm a Celeb" will be heavily featured in the TV adverts this year, would that mean other channels such as channel 4 not showing this years advert? Or would Thorpe/ITV/other channels be happy for the advert to be shown on channels other than ITV?

^ Definitely the words of someone who's not been to Universal

Looks really good in there, hopefully it won't be as much of a crush around the pizza areas now!

Judging from social media and overhearing people at the park yesterday, it seems a lot of people didn't realise only a few rides would be open.
  18. The more I think about it and look into it, the more excited I am. If executed nicely with good theming it could be a really decent attraction. Obviously it's just going to come down to how much money has been put into it etc. Looking forward to trying it out though!
  19. I watch it with my family (mum/dad/younger sister). I'm hoping its done properly. My only concern is that the 'celebrity cyclone' trial doesn't end up being like the indoor syringe section of Saw with a few blasts of air shooting at you.
  20. Thorpe do like using out of date IP's don't they: Saw, Angry Birds and now this.
  21. Ryan replied to OldFarmerDean's topic in The Past
The more clues that are released, the more it looks like I'm a Celeb. The worst bit? I bet Mr Fish 1 million euros that it wouldn't be.
  22. Ryan replied to OldFarmerDean's topic in The Past
Looks like a swimming pool/wave pool?
  23. For someone (like me) who hasn't seen the films, what can we expect to see from a hunger games dark ride (if it happens)?
  24. Or you can get a taxi, it's usually £10 per car, so with a few people it's a few quid each each way.
