  1. People who used RnR were complaining at Stealth yesterday. They waited the Reserve and ride queue time and then faced a queue of 40 - 50 others waiting for Reserve n Ride (The set of stairs on the right/old SQR queue) As half the fastrack queue was full (probably 100 people) and the normal queue was there, plus the ride on one train it meant very few people from the three queues getting onto the loading area. Simply doesn't work having three types of queue on one train operation.

They certainly would yet virtually every year fail in this area. There were a few years some of the rides had some extra themeing such as CCR, skeletons and masks placed in ride areas, cobwebs etc, but none recently. Some pictures can be found at Total Thorpe Park on the 2007 - 2009 pages. http://www.totalthorpepark.co.uk/features/events.shtml
  3. Nemesis Inferno was the only one on two trains and therefore the queue was short and walk on from 4:45ish. Everything else quite slow. Stealth was advertised at 45 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes later, finally there. The fasttrack queue was half full and reserve and ride had 40 - 50 people waiting. Was painful! At least the flats all had short queues and despite the poor one train operation on most coasters still had an enjoyable day. Good news though for Tidal Wave. It is back to two boats running.
  4. Not overly busy on the park but Colossus on one train, Colossus on one train. Swarm island closed but was on one train. Yet to see nemesis inferno but guess one train too. Half the park was still closed at 10:15. Loggers closed and samurai closed all day.

I know nothing is confirmed fully yet but the 2 free tickets in the sun newspaper had a fright night description and it mentioned only blair witch project, cabin in the woods and Saw.

Haha - I'm sure about 5 years ago Merlin started charging for Maps. It was very short lived though!

Samurai is still popular, lots talk about it and I think the park will try and keep it. Who knows maybe they will replace it with a newer model like they did with Zodiac. If they ever do, lets hope they paint/theme it! Can imagine a fairground model such as Top buzz With the Samurai logo stuck over the Top Buzz sign!
  8. I read a post on Facebook only earlier today which was someone asking what rides have SQR. Thorpe answered, Samurai, Vortex, Rush, Detonator and Quantum. However this has since been removed suggesting it's not officially ready for the rest.

I'm sure we have all been saying this for the last three or four years. Yet every year it makes it back into the lineup.

Anyone know what's up with Loggers? Been down since Friday according to the queue-times site. Unusual for it to be down nearly a week.
  11. I agree to an extent Which is why I added at least not anytime soon. However it is unusual for Chessington or any merlin owned attraction to reply to a comment if they haven't found out or aren't completely sure.
  12. Dragon Galls won't be getting it's theming back, at least not any time soon. Chessington confirmed there are no plans to bring it back in a reply on Facebook.
  13. It's actually the original, not new angry birds music. It was played until 2007 until it was replaced with a short version of the Scream Heide Park music. This played until mid 2012 and the original was brought back. However about a month or 2 ago it reverted back to the 2007 theme. Coincidently enough Samurai during loading has done exactly the same and was changed in 2007, reverted back and again changed again a couple of months ago. Anyone know why they changed recently?

I went on Tuesday and it was definitely on 3 and the queue was max 15 minutes.
  15. Strange as I was there Tuesday and the staff were really friendly and seemed to be having fun. Quantum and Dodgems were both playing music and loudly on Tuesday as well. The fire was also working on Swarm, although the mist and fountains were not. Goes to show how inconsistent the park is with multiple factors and each day can be totally different.
  16. Well it's already got a group of my friends talking. They are considering cancelling their trip next Tuesday as they don't see it worth going if the park is closing at 5pm. I'm sure this will be a similar story for many others who were planning to travel from far. So their cut in hours actually leads to an even bigger decrease in attendance.
  17. Slammer was testing most of the day on Tuesday as well. A worker said the engineer told him it was a planned closure, and needed to have a few days to have a full check done and many test runs.
  18. I think I'll stick to paying a few quid more for unlimited pizza and drinks in Inferno Pizza Pasta than £7 for 1 pizza!
  19. Probably in case theres a queue for them, to allow them time to clear the area and clean up before 6pm
  20. I did two days with an 8pm close both days and found that was plenty to do everything once and some better rides around 3 times. We probably covered 3/4 of the park in day one.

  22. A response to questions asking if the theming to Dragon Falls is going to be reinstated on facebook has been answered with the following response: "Hello Jason, Elizabeth, Russell and Lee - there are currently no plans to reinstall the theming for Dragon Falls. We did indeed run a competition and received many fantastic creative ideas. The winner was contacted and a prize was awarded, however the designs will not be implemented as new theming. We're sorry for any disappointment that this may cause but look forward to seeing you all very soon!" So never going to happen. Shame! A real shame.
  23. It does still seem to play through the area speakers near detonator. The ones in the Nemesis Inferno queue extension area all seem to pump out the I'm a celebrity theme. I guess they are zoned incorrectly. Also the 2007 (scream heide park) theme has returned to detonator as has the 2007 samurai loading theme.
  24. I have just returned from the park on a school trip and the ride was testing today as well. The staff just said it will be testing for the foreseeable future.
  25. Currently lot's of complaining about the car park today on CWOA's Facebook page as it seems the park now charge £10 to park in Lodge/Hotel/tarmac car park and have made the grass/Explorer car park the main car park with a £3 charge in effect from today. What do people think of this?
