  1. Good to see. Potentially exciting times ahead! For me i'd still like to see a hyper. But any "exhilarating" coaster will be welcomed Out if interest where did you get this? Are you local to the park? What's the back say as there are no dates or anything on that side?

    Wicker Man

I remember end of 2020 it was riding dreadfully, just crawling round the unbanked turn around, which then seemed to sort itself out in 2021. For me I still find Wickerman to be a bit naff near the front of the train, and earlier in the day. If you can get towards the back at the end of the day I find it packs more of a punch.
  3. The rumours don't stand. They've never been rumours. Nick worked on audio changes to create a sort of narrative to Tomb Blaster. Nothing was ever mentioned about it changing back to it's old form. People were joking with you as they thought it funny that you believed it was coming back.
  4. It's ghastly. I counted 61 people queue jump in the queue for Shambhala and that was just when I started counting! And not even just people catching up to friends! Queue jumping at Thorpe is non existent in comparison! My non enthusiast friend was put off of theme parks for life!
  5. Could very well be happening. As for the names time will tell 😉 New rides, an almost certain no!
  6. I have a feeling they will move these over to the area near Depth Charge was, they would actually fit in better there. Perhaps where the old Containment shipping containers are currently, or the old site of Sea Snakes and Ladders, or even Wet Wet Wet could go as I don't believe that was used at all this year. There would likely be a need to keep them IF Rocky Express is truly leaving as that even less children's/family rides. Was fun having the "possible" last ever (two) ride on it. Guess we shall see over closed season and into March.
  7. Hello. Have a a look on Thorpe Parks website for exact details on the packages.if you are just wanting to make sure you get on everything I'd say you don't need it as you can normally always get on everything once even on a busy day. If you are anticipating multiple rerides on everything then I'd say get it. https://www.thorpepark.com/tickets-passes/extras/fastrack/
  8. Also visited the other week. Have to say I agree about the polish queue jumpers. Certainly runner up in that field only to Port Aventura for me! But such a great atmosphere in the park it didnt ruin it for us. Shame about Hyperion. I only rode on the inner seats as if heard it can be rattly and found it extremely smooth. It think il only ever ride the inside now. What was wrong with the chicken place? I found my family bucket I had almost to myself rather tasty.
  9. Great deal. Might actually consider one for next year seeing as I thoroughly enjoyed my visits this year! Great to see that it can all be finally done online. Didn't you have to go to registration days before, which seemed awfully faffy for us southerners?!
  10. Still detest is even though we got the back more at EnergyLandia more than we ever have at any theme park?? 😂
  11. Yep you can't beat early to mid 00s Fright Nights! Such good times as a teen back then!
  12. 3 isn't many you are right, but for years it was just literally mazes, no scare zones and shows as such. So when you look at it like that it's still more "attractions" as such. For years people complained about lack of scare zones and shows. Plus i'd say you're likely right that Covid is still having a small part of the reason for less mazes.
  13. Line up announced. Interesting the way the video 'freezes' at the end. Scare zones include: The Crows of Mawking Meadow, Lycanthorpe vs Amity High Love Bites The Swarm Invasion Creek Freak Unchained Shows include: Legacy Fire and Light Show Birthday Bash The Crows Mazes: Platform 15 End of the Line (last year possibly?) and Creek Freak Massacre are the only two announced in the video. One more to come... https://www.facebook.com/27217550866/posts/10159375714555867/ Thoughts? Discuss...
  14. Sorry Dom, I'm confused as to why I would like the part you've tagged me in? Very confused?
  15. @Martin Doyle I thought you loathed Thorpes modern day Fright nights 😝 Gotta love the dig there! Tbh I'm just looking forward to actually doing some Halloween events this year!
  16. Other than that the full description doesn't really give much away yet other than there's scare zones and mazes with the mazes still continuing to be up charge, hopefully not a tenner this time round and more in line with the Towers pricing structure. 17. Could this unusual choice of a B&M actually be because they've got a package deal and we have that hyper coming to Thorpe in 2024? 😉
  18. Subject to planning permission! Kingston are notoriously very strict with planning!
  19. I was pleasantly surprised how good this coaster was too. Its launch was pretty decent and made for a real fun ride if at the front or back. I will be sorry to see it go TBH. Must be linked to operational costs as like you say it hardly takes up space and I don't see how this could be in the way of a development. Easy to go round or even over any part except the towers! RIP
  20. It's also heavily rumoured to be Jumanji IP. Look at the middle section compared to the Jumanji Board. Can't see it just being a coincidence, but you just never know!
  21. Planning permission has gone in for this development. Plans show that it is indeed a wing coaster and almost certainly from B&m. A year ago and prior I'd have laughed and called people mad for suggesting a B&M. Capacity won't be great with 720pph and a single 6 car wing train seating 24. The ride will feature back and forward launch and take around 1 minute. 2 other junior rides can also be seen in the plans. A somewhat strange addition to be hopefully coming to Chessington, but will certainly be interesting following construction of a coaster for the first time at Chessington in nearly 20 years if this gets planning permission! https://publicaccess.kingston.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=QWYN4XNHM5000&activeTab=summary
  22. Tickets are out for those signed up to the emails. Tickets will come in three options... 1. Off peak - free - tends to be mornings of weekdays Mon to Thurs outside of school holidays. 2. Standard - £5 - afternoons and mornings of weekends, weekdays of school holidays as well as all day Friday. 3. Peak - £7.50 - afternoon/evenings of saturdays and Sundays. Interested to see how they'll manage this as there's no set timed sessions apart from the entry. Once in you can stay as long as you like. Example...

    2021 Season

Loving the spelling mistake disaster on the grafiti! Colussus! Still Thorpe saw the funny side and changed the wording on the app! 😂
  24. Agreed nothing really that special, but still a decent addition to the UK and a park that has seemingly struggled. It will certainly be worth adding on a visit to Southport on any trip to Blackpool if this is built. Planning application below. https://pa.sefton.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=QW0OUBNWL2S00
