Quantum was extremely jolty at two points (every time it reached the same points). Any one else noticed this recently?

Few things about audio today:1. Great to here the old loading theme on Samurai.2. Nemesis Inferno was playing dispatch theme in the morning and kept randomly cutting over the main theme in the queue. Dispatch theme then stopped and station was playing the main theme not the automatic dispatch theme that had come back.3. Colossus station music kept cutting into the queue line very often taking over the usual theme the majority of the time. But was nice to hear the Colossus Beatbed track in the station inbetween the station music/dispatch theme.4 Amity Cove music quite low except for around the photo unit.5. No music on Rush.

Quite a busy day at the park today, could really have done with having the park stay open until 7pm as only got on eight rides all day! Despite the long queues the atmosphere was good around the park and althought the scroller advertised Samurai as being unavailable all rides bar Saw Alive for obvious reasons were open. Never got a chance to ride Storm Surge but felt it didn't look as bad as I thought based on what I've heard and seen in pictures. Was completely shocked to find longest queue of the day was Nemesis Inferno as this is usually the shortest major coaster when I go and it was on two train op.Ride Count and times I queued: (some queues were longer at various point of the day)1. Rush x1 (30 minutes)2. Saw The Ride x1 (70 minutes) 3. Nemesis Inferno x1 (100 minutes)4. Stealth x1 (60 minutes) (included a breakdown that lasted for 15 minutes)5. Loggers Leap x1 (25 minutes)6 Colossus x2 (50 minutes and 10 minutes at 5:55pm)7.Samurai x1 (30 minutes)And as we left it took 30 minutes to get out of the car park as there are only 4 barriers for thousands of cars to leave through. Was a nightmare!

I wouldn't call it my favourite but it is high up on my list of overall favourite rides. So can see why someone may call it their favourite. I love the feeling of falling. I wouldn't call it unreliable anymore either, it has had only a few days down this year and last year apart from the month towards the end of the year when it was waiting for parts it ran well for the whole season. I love the feeling of falling.

It might not be aimed for families as we all know but I still see a fairly high number of families at Thorpe Park.
-
Was just about to say the same. It is very popular with the families at the park.

Well I bought a sellotape and they gave me a strip, so I don't think so. Yes they are valid for most of the year (Expire Oct/Nov). Theres just a few dates excluded like some of fright nights at thorpe and August at Legoland etc.
-
WHSmith are doing 2 for 1 vouchers for the Merlin attractions at the moment. Just buy something and they give you a strip of four.

Why hasn't this happened with Logger's Leap or The Flume then, I am pretty sure they are manufactured by Mack as well? And if it was Chessington's idea as it sounds like on the article/paragraph surely the other two parks would have followed suit.

Health and Safety gone mad again. How many years (or decades) has Dragon Falls been at the park with it's previous height without any accidents? Seems crazy to me.

Great news.. Just found a video of it on youtube, Great to hear a lot of the music back and glad to here the old fountain finale music again!!!!!! Lighting looks great.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzptX-17Sw4

It now defeats the whole object of it being called Storm in a Teacup. It looks so bland and plain. Surely they could have just put the logo over the previous themed paintwork that didn't even look like it needed repainted. If you want to paint something TP then paint Colossus!

Yes Vortex's music did return in the end.

Interesting, it just came up on facebook! Never in a million years would I have thought that it would hit capacity on a zoo only day! First for everything I guess.

Probably because the theme park voucher which is missing Thorpe Park is a "kids go free" one and they don't want kids going to a park with little to do. CWOA, Legoland and Alton Towers are fine for kids.

They had a power surge ride in leciester Square over halloween/fireworks period. Quite a good ride. If it is going to be along the lines of it then I think it will be a great addition.
-
I have to second this as apart from the one month of downtime it had it has been very reliable and any breakdowns it did have were sorted quite rapidly.
-
I would still consider getting straight off then straight back on the same train a reride. This happened on the 17th Oct at 9:40pm. They opened the gate near the baggage area and allowed us back on as the queue was so short. (was short due to them forgetting to change the entrance sign from "Stealth is Currently Unavailable" due to an earlier breakdown). Got 6 goes in a row, which for me was a record number of rerides!
-
I agree It can be slow, It is more frustrating at busy times when there are loads of fasttrack people waiting and they fill up three rows of fasttrack leaving hardly any space from the normal queue. The ride was probably having zeroing/centreing problems which is why it took a minute faffing about before it could lower.

I remember it did this after the fright nights in 2008 for the last week of the year, but once the 2009 season began it was back to the 2007 loading theme. I hope it stays as I prefer it so much more.Edit: I found a video on youtube of it playing pre 2006 loading theme at this time just after fright nights in 2008 (Saw construction is in background).http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ghy7XN8z8k4

It is really funny to here the mixed reactions on this ride. It can be crap one day and then amazing another time. For me I have had mainly brilliant insane rides. I think for me it was crap just once this year (out of about 12 rides). When you say "a return of the loading music" do you mean the pre2006 theme below? http://media.musicofmerlin.com/thorpe/lostcity/samurai/samurai_loading06.mp3

I think it is "The call to Adventure" theme that they use at Market Square. See below.http://media.musicofmerlin.com/cwoa/cwoa_calltoadventure.mp3
