  1. I believe it is what I have attached below, well it was when I went in April.Colossus Beatbed
  2. And as you left the ride there would be a hole in the wall with the jewel inside and as you touched it or tried to steal it you would get a loud noise and air blasted onto your hand. Took me a lot of courage to touch it when I was little
  3. Its great value, I nearly always eat here when I go. It is actually cheaper than the normal Pizza Hut restaurants during buffet times as they charge £6.99 before your drink which is just over £2

    Logger's Leap

Anaconda log Flume at Isla Magica in Spain has a lift hill like Loggers Leap (no backstops out) based on what I can see in this video. So Loggers Leap is not the only one like it.
  5. This was fixed earlier on in the season but only lasted a brief week or two. Now its back to the area theme playing in the station as well as the area.
  6. Burger King are doing them when you purchase a meal (I had to ask however) and Kelloggs Cereal have them on the back of packs as well.
  7. I think that this year and last year have been pretty good.
  8. Stealth during the first saturday of Fright Nights during 2010. We had to obviously get off but were let through the fence between onload and offload. Got 8 rides in a row. There was no queue as the ride had reopened after a break down at 9pm but the sign at the entrance still said "Stealth is currently unavailable". Was great fun!
  9. I just wish they would not only turn it up but install speakers/have it playing throughout the queueline so we can hear it there too.
  10. Quantum was extremely jolty at two points (every time it reached the same points). Any one else noticed this recently?
  11. Few things about audio today:1. Great to here the old loading theme on Samurai.2. Nemesis Inferno was playing dispatch theme in the morning and kept randomly cutting over the main theme in the queue. Dispatch theme then stopped and station was playing the main theme not the automatic dispatch theme that had come back.3. Colossus station music kept cutting into the queue line very often taking over the usual theme the majority of the time. But was nice to hear the Colossus Beatbed track in the station inbetween the station music/dispatch theme.4 Amity Cove music quite low except for around the photo unit.5. No music on Rush.
  12. Quite a busy day at the park today, could really have done with having the park stay open until 7pm as only got on eight rides all day! Despite the long queues the atmosphere was good around the park and althought the scroller advertised Samurai as being unavailable all rides bar Saw Alive for obvious reasons were open. Never got a chance to ride Storm Surge but felt it didn't look as bad as I thought based on what I've heard and seen in pictures. Was completely shocked to find longest queue of the day was Nemesis Inferno as this is usually the shortest major coaster when I go and it was on two train op.Ride Count and times I queued: (some queues were longer at various point of the day)1. Rush x1 (30 minutes)2. Saw The Ride x1 (70 minutes) 3. Nemesis Inferno x1 (100 minutes)4. Stealth x1 (60 minutes) (included a breakdown that lasted for 15 minutes)5. Loggers Leap x1 (25 minutes)6 Colossus x2 (50 minutes and 10 minutes at 5:55pm)7.Samurai x1 (30 minutes)And as we left it took 30 minutes to get out of the car park as there are only 4 barriers for thousands of cars to leave through. Was a nightmare!
  13. I wouldn't call it my favourite but it is high up on my list of overall favourite rides. So can see why someone may call it their favourite. I love the feeling of falling. I wouldn't call it unreliable anymore either, it has had only a few days down this year and last year apart from the month towards the end of the year when it was waiting for parts it ran well for the whole season. I love the feeling of falling.
  14. It might not be aimed for families as we all know but I still see a fairly high number of families at Thorpe Park.
  15. Was just about to say the same. It is very popular with the families at the park.
  16. Well I bought a sellotape and they gave me a strip, so I don't think so. Yes they are valid for most of the year (Expire Oct/Nov). Theres just a few dates excluded like some of fright nights at thorpe and August at Legoland etc.
  17. WHSmith are doing 2 for 1 vouchers for the Merlin attractions at the moment. Just buy something and they give you a strip of four.
  18. Why hasn't this happened with Logger's Leap or The Flume then, I am pretty sure they are manufactured by Mack as well? And if it was Chessington's idea as it sounds like on the article/paragraph surely the other two parks would have followed suit.
  19. Health and Safety gone mad again. How many years (or decades) has Dragon Falls been at the park with it's previous height without any accidents? Seems crazy to me.
  20. Great news.. Just found a video of it on youtube, Great to hear a lot of the music back and glad to here the old fountain finale music again!!!!!! Lighting looks great.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzptX-17Sw4
  21. It now defeats the whole object of it being called Storm in a Teacup. It looks so bland and plain. Surely they could have just put the logo over the previous themed paintwork that didn't even look like it needed repainted. If you want to paint something TP then paint Colossus!
  22. Yes Vortex's music did return in the end.
  23. Interesting, it just came up on facebook! Never in a million years would I have thought that it would hit capacity on a zoo only day! First for everything I guess.
  24. 1. Nemesis2. Stealth3. Pepsi Max Big One4. Saw: The Ride5. Nemesis Inferno6. Samurai7. Slammer8. Air9. Valhalla10. RollerCoaster (Pleasure Beach Great Yarmouth)
