Seeing as they need planning permission to build a fence, I seriously doubt they would be able to do a lot without planning permission.

I find it quite humorous the park runs off vinyl stickers, yet they won't replace two on some wheel covers.

But.. But... I enjoy this game

I disagree! ABL has loads of atmosphere... I mean the music that you can hear.... the 2D images and spray paint... what better way to set an atmosphere? Oh wait...
-
Now now, that's far beyond any budget given to the park.

This video has blown me away..! https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=638978109568518

I still sit pondering sometimes, what the worst investment was, Storm Surge, Time Voyagers (If you could actually call that an investment) or Angry Birds Land.
-
The fact of the matter is, it is clearly evident TP made the yearly additions prominent just by looking on this topic, the first time in 14 years they haven't had an investment and people are kicking off. People have become so accustomed to it, that they are literally confused that there isn't anything new! It's actually laughable. I am by far happy that they aren't wasting there money on some god forbidden flat ride that would be delivered in such a bad way, it would end up like Storm Surge. Storm Surge is literally, what happens when you begin clutching at straws with additions. They probably ran out of ideas, and saw this as a cheap way out to keep their customers 'happy'. Which is somewhat ironic as Storm Surge is the epiphany of bad service. What would have been nice, is if they took the year out of investment in a new attraction to go back to Storm Surge and spruced it up to a standard that is actually worth flaunting.

The only good thing about that video was Colossus crashing into each other in the Cobra Roll.

People will only say "I won't bother going this year because they have nothing new" because they have been spoon fed new attractions for the past 14 years. As I am sure everybody is aware the difference between Merlin and every other Theme Park operator in the world, is quality. Merlin have this big idea to expand as quickly as they can without looking back. Whereas If you look at places like Walt Disney World, who (as individual parks) see investment on a large scale once every so many years, still pull in millions more guests, something Merlin could only dream of. Disney make a crap ride the most amazing experience in the world, Merlin make the best rides in the world utter BS.
-
Maybe, what TP need to do, and what they should of done all along, is not add something new every single year, trying to scrape the last bit of nutella out of the jar, but take the approach of every other theme park in the world. Instead of adding something every year, every other year, or every three years make something spectacular, spend lots of dollar on one thing rather than Angry Birds Land, Saw Alive and Storm Surge. If they took the investment money from SAW Alive and Storm Surge, The Swarm could have been a lot better. If they didn't open angry birds land, thats a couple extra million that could have gone on 2016's attraction.

Pizza pasta will have a white facade!? What!? This isn't Merlin style...

The silence after the jolt on Saw.

But they have the non-smartphone option which makes YOUR argument invalid....

You make 98% sound like a bad thing...? I think 98% is rather acceptable as a percentage of users to non-users.

Oblivion + Krake = Oblivion The Black Hole. I agree with Mark, the word "Oblivion" is very enticing to anybody. However the ride layout is basically Krake, except you swing to the left instead of the right and do a circle.

Why won't two trains be needed? If only two coasters will be open, that doesn't give people an awful lot of choice.

A - I do not think they would build a giant almost two story high building for a drop tower that goes a couple of meters underground. It would be financially exhausting, way beyond anything we would ever see in a Merlin park. Remember this will be one of Merlin's most expensive investments since overtaking Tussauds in 2007. If it where going to be a drop tower similar to Nemesis Sub Terra, we would see more of an underground square like structure. Aa - This has a large maintenance yard, meaning that the ride is of a much larger scale that it requires space in order to carry out maintenance on a scale similar to a roller coaster or ride with multiple vehicles . Sub Terra does not have such yard, nor does any drop tower in the world that I know of. B - A drop tower of any kind would be pointless due to the fact they have detonator barely 30 meters away.
-
I agree with Mark on this one... Lets keep X (Ride) in the X topic and the currently non-existing new ride in this topic.

It wouldn't of surprised me if the Marketing team at AT rode it and went "S***, We f****d that one up". On another note, It's of no surprise to me that Carousel hasn't been removed yet, the majority of the work was going to be removing the hundreds of tonnes of earth soil and shrubbery where the building will actually stand, rather than a flat-pack carousel where the queue line will be. You may not realise it but that Carousel can literally vanish in a matter of hours.

Maybe they where adding a timelapse camera to the top.
