I'm sorry this makes little sense, high capacity rides do not NEED large queues. In-fact it would be the other way round, low capacity rides need large queues to accommodate the inevitable build up, high capacity rides will get through it easier so the chance of a build up is reduced.

Maybe.... there is nothing they can do about it...? I'm not an engineer nor am I working for White Water, so I cannot say for sure, but I can assure you, everyone at the resort is fully aware of the problem, and it has been looked into plenty of times, to see what alternatives can be done. Unfortunately, due to the fact the boats are made out of a material that tears easily, holes can and will appear over time, and as these holes can appear quickly in multiple boats, the only option is to deal with it by keeping the boats on, otherwise closing the rides for days on end. Rafts are sent for repairs constantly, but even though they are always going back and forth for repairs, the boats are becoming damaged quickly. To the point at the end of the season we had 5 boats in operation due to damage to rafts. Whilst I understand everyone's frustration, there is some things we cannot control, and water on a water ride, isn't something we can control. Yes, Host's are able to empty the excess water out of the boats, but, this happens so quickly that we would need to tip them every time they complete the circuit. Doing so, would also double the queue time. What would you rather, ultimately, get wet on a water ride, or wait at least double what the queue would normally be? As has been said above, whilst I shouldn't condone the actions due to safety, you are able to lift your feet above the water. And going back to your post Pluk, is the problem REALLY that serious? It's hardly a health and safety hazard, it's not uncommon to have water in a boat on a water ride. I couldn't count the amount of times I find myself SAT in water on Depth Charge.

Whilst I'm not defending Storm Surge in any way, as I am fully aware of the problem, I hosted the ride for two years, and operated for a year also (you guys have no idea the hassle we got from the water in the boats problem) The fact that Storm Surge will be entering its FIFTH season in 2015, and you guys are STILL moaning about. Yes, we have established there is an unnecessary amount of water in the boats, but this is out of any one on this websites control. If the Resort where that adamant to resolve the situation it would of been done so before the ride reopened in 2012.

Litres!? You are being generous It loses litres every time a boat goes down the chute... I think we need to measure the water loss in swimming pools!
-
Yup funnily enough I would! Thanks for asking.

I haven't once said I am a Storm Surge fan, but you're criticising something that is not worth criticising. Yeah it's not the most photogenic ride to look at, but is Colossus? No... I'm pretty sure if we lit up X's pyramid we would probably have a heart attack at how disgusting it is in there... The fact that it's a little on the ugly side doesn't make the ride any worse. That is like me saying Colossus was boring because it's rusted. Sorry, I was blissfully unaware that you could control the water flowing over the side of the chute when there is a heavy boat... (Which by the way the path in question was cornered off towards the end of season to prevent guests getting large quantities of water thrown over them) Most of the water dripping, doesn't even drip onto the path but onto the shrubs below. Like I said earlier, don't like it, walk around.
-
Last time I checked, Storm Surge was not built on top of Colossus. and doesn't obstruct the view within the area. Don't walk under it then? Simple? If you stand by the Stealth Shop you get leaked on by Tidal, heck sometimes you even get dripped on when you're in the Stealth Station!
-
Tidal Wave leaks.... Loggers Leap leaks..... Why has everyone got such a massive vendetta against Storm Surge!

I would like to point out also any construction would of had to commence already in order for it to be ready in any shape or form this side of August 2015. Also, any new ride would need plenty of planning notice towards Runnymede Borough Council, and an application would of had to of been made by now in order for them to have enough notice for the grant. Following on from that, all I would expect to happen is improvements to existing attractions, OR, something to help boost the parks Resort status.

This 'Thrill & Chill' dispute is going to put ThrillNation out of business.

Very sorry if this has been posted, and I know this is late. The Swarm queue line featured a SRQ in the plans. I am in every mind to disregard these plans as 'truth'.
-
And there's the problem
-
Nope, there are only 10 people per train you know!
-
Hmm... The Swarm has an average hourly throughput of 1000-1100 (The highest recorded is something around 1250, although recently a new record of 47 trains in one hour could mean a throughput of up to 1316) X has an average throughput of 450-550 (The highest recorded back in my days on the ride was just over 700, with 4 trains) Hmm... When it comes to throughputs you can't physically say "Oh Nemesis Inferno has bad throughputs this year", seeing as the rides function has never changed, the throughput is still able to get well over 1000 pph. You would be better of saying the staffing on Nemesis Inferno are not utilising the ride to its full potential. Literally, it angers me when people say 'these rides don't have good throughputs', The ride is MORE than capable of getting a high throughput, however they are not being utilised in order to get the high throughput.

The ride is very old now, things don't last forever!

You guys clearly haven't gone off road quad biking in the Egyptian deserts. Do that and then say SAW & Colossus is rough. I'm almost certain I fractured several spinal bones in that 45 minutes of quad-biking.
-
I'm sorry, isn't saw one of the most successful horror brands to date? And SAW: The Ride was possibly one of the most successful addition to the park since Colossus back in 2002.
-
Remember, this was 2003, FX weren't as advanced as they are nowadays. I'm sure they could probably do some kind of fibre optics illusions to simulate lava, similar to a christmas tree.

I think it makes it look authentic Although when it rains it does look disgusting

I would also like to point out billboards next to church's is by far a common occurrence. If not owned by the church then another company. It's not against any law to have paid advertisement next to the house of god Just want to point out the little touches too... You wouldn't really notice this from the ground... You don't really notice it on the ride either... But it's still there! The burnt effect on the ground... And this is what it looked like when it was first done. Was a lot more noticeable. Yes, they actually painted swarm shadowns on the ground towards the Ambulance.

That's what we call a variety of algae, moss & other vegetative states. True story! The above vegetation love damp porous materials. Hence why the volcano is green. And every normal active volcano is green.

Think Stealth would be an epic shout for on-ride DVD to be honest (Y)

Generally speaking from now on Slammer will have a set open time of 11am, however, this is massively dependant on a variety of things. If the engineering team are happy and it's ready it will open at any time from 9:30 to park close. The checks usually last around 10-15 minutes, again depending on a variety of things! Hope this helps
