  1. Right want to ask a question about the scare rooms to anyone who has experianced them. How do they get an actor in the bathroom , without you noticing , they then turn the tap on and someone is standing in the shower ! , how do they do that ?? Ipersonally havent had the chance to expeience it myself, but I have seen a video of the scare rooms, and usually about 5 minutes before the tap comes on, someone comes in/goes out through the door. At that same time, I think the actor who goes in the bathroom sneaks in past the actor going in or leaving, and because the lights turned off you generally dont notice the extra person coming in. Thats my theory, just from watching clips of it. This video is of last years, its pretty decent and really funny. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Theming wise that was impressive... But it didn't exactly seem "scary", or was that just me? It didnt seem very scary tbh, the makruo and look of everything looks great, but the actors are rubbish. The actors however could have been scarier (judging by the video, I'd have to go in it for myself to say for sure) which is where Thorpe could look on making it very scary. In America the actors arent allowed to touch the guests, unlike over here, purely because they love to throw sueing people around so easily, and universal dont want to have to deal with it, so their covering themselves. Don't forget that Thorpe's one is "interactive", and we still don't completely know what that means. And theres gonna be more than 1 route I assume, seems we choose what happens to us. 3. who's the guy on the left? Hes one of the masked family from CITW. Theres about 4 in the family, theres tonnes of monsters they couldve chosen, thats probably the cheapest one out of them all that they could create, seems its just a mask and the actor in a suit.
  4. Would be good to meet up if your all up for it lol we could all be standing next to each other without knowing ! I was talking about me! I think it would be really nice, as I'm yet to meet with anyone on here as of yet Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

  7. Well on another note, Ive booked my place for the preview event. Looking forward to it Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I think theres a database program on microsoft. I cant for the life of me what its called, but you can enter all kinds of data and it can compile a database for you based on the data entered. You can then search for specific information etc, similar to how itunes would work, but corresponds to whatever data you enter. Ill see if one of my mates from school knows what the program is, because I did a project in I.T. for GCSE using it. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  9. I'm curious as to what angle theyll take for TCINW. HHN Orlando is taking as you being apart of the company at the time of the kids being in the cabin and then they get into the unit and all hell breaks loose. I know thorpe have posted that we will make the decisions in the maze, but are we the kids or are we staff? Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Its been confirmed, Friday 4th October is the MAP preview night. Just got an email from the merlin annual pass team Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Well if you had younger children I guess Legoland would have been worse. We were planning on originally going there, but when we rang up to purchase tickets on the 22nd August, we were told they couldnt sell any tickets with the merlin annual pass discount until the 1st of September because they had over booked. 12. First of all, love the hair! Thanks, ive had it done 3 times now for £16 including a haircut I fully agree Chessington can't get the throughput they should be doing, but I have to ask what were the queues for: Black Buccaneer, Rattlesnake, Monkey Swinger, Jungle Bus? These don't tend to have long queues. I think rattlesnake was around 1 hour, not sure on the others, but I do remember seeing black buccaneer with a slightly smaller queue than the others, and when I got the chance to go to wild asia, both monkey swinger and jungle bus had smaller queues, but guests had already started to leave the park at that point. For me if I got there, I would not queue more than 45 mins for any ride at Chessington, I'd rather do the smaller rides than the bigger ones to do less queues. Unfortunately I was with a group of younger children so the bigger rides were out of the question, leaving us with the smaller rides which still had stupidly long queues. I guess the question is did you just give up on the rides and do the Zoo or were you not at the park for the full day? Sorry yeah I forgot to say I was at the park a total of 6 hours, taking an hour to get in the park leaving us 5 hours to do the rides and lunch. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  13. I can't understand why Chessington haven't upped their game. It's rammed, so how can they justify not running rides at full tilt? That was something me and my mum were both saying. This is their peak time of year, and they just dont have enough staff to make the park run properly. The adventure services also had a huge queue, stretching past the drinks unit. So whether people were complain or what I'm not sure but anywhere you couldve made a queue, there was one. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Wow. Not even the busy (Or what I would have considered busy rides back in 2005) rides done. Crazy. Yup. I think skyway took 45 minutes, Bubbleworks was an hour and seastorm was an hour, which is a joke if I'm honest. Apparently vampires queue was 2 hours and zufari was 90 minutes. They really need to get things sorted because its just stupid, especially when the park is more catered for familes with young children, where the children dont exactly want to be queueing for hours on end. I did forget to mention I went with 4 7 year olds, and with the heat and the queues they were extremly restless.
  15. I was there wednesday, and I tell you what, the queues were stupid. The staff had no control and werent doing anything to help save time and then you had it that there was only 1 person handling a ride slowing down dispatch further. I only managed to do 3 rides on wednesday and fit in lunch which I think is appauling. Rides done: Safari skyway Bubbleworks Sea storm Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  16. I think either Blair Witch Project or Cabin in the Woods would go on the ccr pathway, obviously because of the wooded area. My Bloody Valentine I think is going to go in The Passing area, purely because it has the little bit of rock work outside, and it could work in there, either that or Your Next could go in there, but that would mean changing the set back similar to hellgate (ie back like a house). Cabin in the woods could go in the Asylum building, I think they should open up the mhfs area, so then your in the woods more. Quite a few different places could suit the mazes, but blair witch definately belongs on the ccr path, just has that feel about it. Sent from Tapatalk via my Samsung GT-N7000
  17. And I also think there'll be something linked to the swarm. Don't really want there to e but who know they could make it scary somehow. The reason I think this is because on one of the Saturday secrets posts on scareTOUR's Facebook page, they said ' where will you get on your bike to escape the monsters'? This is clearly a tease as to something to do with the swarm; the trailer featured people on bikes trying to escape the monsters in the sky and being taking off their bikes.. I'd prefer another maze tbh, as this probably won't work really and I don't know how they'll make it really scary.. I wouldn't have thought this but this tease is a perfect fit to the swarm and this clearly is what the post tease was about I think if they did use the swarm for a maze they could use the events building. Create scenes similar to that in the film Cloverfield, where the army are taking people in and getting rid of the infected, maybe theyve caught one of the monsters and stripped it of the armour, and it breaks free or something. I dunno, but it could work so long as its pulled off well enough and all the actors stick to the same story. Ive always had problems with Saw: Alive because none of the actors seem to be on the same page, and even when the big bosses were confronted they assured me 'all the actors were fully trained and understand the characters they are given' which from those been it, will have found they didnt. On another note, my mum works with someone who worked as a scareactor in previous years and they enlightened me to the process they had to go through to get the position. The interviers asked them to be creative and come up with something (a prop) using the few items infront of them. The actor in question made a sword out of paper, which apparently the interviewers were very curious about, and the actor went on to work at the event. Shows that thorpe really paid attention to the 'scare' part of 'scareactor'. Ahh well, hopefully this year will be different and they let the professionals show them hows its done. 18. Managed to go on The Smiler for the first time yesterday. Its a mamoth of a ride and I commend Alton for getting it, but you can already feel the roughness of it, in the cobra roll and the heart line turns (I think thats what their called), other than that though its a brilliant ride. Also it did break down yesterday, with one of the cars on the vertical lift hill near he top, after the queues had shut, ive got some videos I'm gonna merge together so you can see what happened.
  19. (I believe The Passing used Bluetooth for the sounds inside the helmet...) From what I remember they had ipod nanos tucked into little slots in the helmets, and had two tiny speaker in there. I remember the ipod, coz when they put it on my head, it fell out of its pouch and they then gave me a new helmet. Was nice ti see how they did it, but annoying they could think of a better methid of hiding the system.
  20. I hope theres no problems on the 12th August. I'm going up for my birthday, purposely to ride it. Also, does anyone know what sizes the smiler onesies come in?
  21. Hey everyone, Basically in about 4 weeks time (12th August - 16th/17th August) I will be celebrating my 18th birthday, in style. I will be going to Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, London dungeons, London sealife centre, madame tussauds london and london eye all in 5/6 days. At the moment its just me and my friend going. So I would like to invite all of you guys, if you wanted to tag along on any of the days. Below are the different days and what I'm doing, and just let me know in a PM or post on here if you wanted to come along and we could work out where to meet. It will definately be a busy week, but definately fun. Monday 12th August - Alton Towers Tuesday - N/A Wednesday - Thorpe Park Thursday - Thorpe Park Friday - Dungeons, Madame Tussauds, Eye and Sea Life. (Possibly Saturday - Thorpe Park, I think theyve got an event on?) Itll be a great week, and it would be great to meet some if you guys and help me celebrate my 18th in Merlin style.
