Tbh the area could be themed to fit the rides, its not like anything ties canda creek/old town to that theme anymore, it could easily be changed to a dock yard or similar

IF your driving m25 anti clock through the dartford crossing, just after is the exit for the duel carridgeway to southend, follow signs to the seafront for adventure island, I know that sounds very basic but its an easy drive :-)

Anyone know where mike vallis* ended up ?
-
I wouldnt be suprised if loggers Failed its Adips certification with the state of the ride along with the evac routes for the ride needing updating

Are the port aventura dates likely to change?

Honestly I think thorpe need to develop and invest in both markets, eg a multi-ride deal to cater for both markets, like a family mack powered immersive suppender and a mega coaster would do that well. thoughts ??
-
Tbh I think the rocking tug would be suited in amity in someway . Whilst the small drop tower would be more suitable to angry birds land if they do end up in old town they will be so out of place

I'm happy to be involved with this, I just need to prebook time off work:p

A New intamin flume to replace loggers would count as redevelopment????
-
Even if the area is redeveloped to include thorpes next attraction that doesnt mean loggers has to go, it could be redeveloped/ slighly rerouted to facilitate a coaster ect in the area. I personally can see new boats with restraints similar to chiapas at phantasia land as people standing up and jumping out was a big thing for merlin. But who knows really what will happen in the next year ...

Phantasia land and Europa park October 2016
RobF replied to RobF's topic in Your Planned Trips and Reports
Have to say whilst the time we spent at Phantasialand was great unfortunately river quest has been closed for maintenance recently and we couldn't justify the queue time for taron. We did however queue jump both wingas I was disappointed with both of these overall. nighthawk was good fun as was colorado and Talocan, Black mumba operations were really bad with long queues wasnt ideal maus au chocolate was great fun really something different Chiapas is easily one of the best flumes/ themed rides at the park. I look forward to returning in 2017 -
Dare I mention safe working hours there are limits to how long a hgv driver can drive per day, week ect for saftey..... yet a Ride op at thorpe park can easily do a 13h day 5-6 days a week in october as there are not early mid and late shifts at TP everyone bare a few break cover work pre-open to an hour after close at fright nights ..... fatigue and stress levels on staff will lead to an accident its waiting to happen....... however the park wont employee more staff to resolve this due to training costs ect

There is a bus from three bridges station to the park £3 each way limited buses each way though so check bus times on the tullys website before you visit

Thanks Matt :-) -
Hey off to germany this weekend doing Phantasia land for the first time then driving over to Europa park for 2 days, unfortunately halloween horror nights have sold out on both days we are there. Has anyone got any tips for Phantasia land as we will only have around 6-7 hours on park

Whilst I get issues people have with Colossus, I'm lucky that ive never hit my head ect on Colossus and rather enjoy it, it has the best track length of a coaster at thorpe so its in my top 3 coasters 1 is swarm because its amazing at night but still pretty good during the day( just a tad short) 2 Colossus 3 stealth 4 nemesis inferno 5 saw 6 x

Reading your review of platform is quite sad, I have heard lots of negetivity towards it but from the bridge at the back of loggers round was quite good, people in the tunnel with flashlights kept chasing and jumping in the faces of people in the conga line then the end scence is where the conductor is that gets lit up. I agree as an overall attraction it needs work and a mic system for the talking scenes ( sealife wearable pa used for talks ect would be good) the train scence could have so much potential with some black felt screens creating a zig zag along the train would make some great hiding scare opportunities

Thorpe could go for a 2-4-1 or a deal and get both a thill and family woodie with interwinding layouts
-
Your normally lucky if samurai makes it to fright nights ....
-
Most of the rock work went a few years back .....
-
Anyone think that loggers queueline could be well utilised this fright nights, for a maze queueline ?

Fire saftey and number of staff needed to evac the building meant the ride could originally queue indoors, other time the staff levels were cut back to the point D started to be run with bag room, onload and operator. X used to have lift operators, offload (now back in use), photo unit ect which meant more people were able to support clearing the ride/ building

Colossus, we were estoped on lift because the restraints wernt checked and whitnessed a family kicking off because there row wasnt checked. I agree that there are some lovely staff and atmosphere at thorpe but last night I only saw an awsome guy on stealth onload/offload
