It had several engineers working on the hydraulics unit at the back yesterday but it was still in pieces. Its not unheard of to put a topscan up in a day, but this is Thorpe so I doubt it was rebuilt and open today ....

Personally I think x would work so much better with a relocated entrance and exit at the rear of the building. The exit platform has an exit by Colossus and the station backs onto the back wall of the building now horror maze aside if you look at the maintainance cost of the current queue line and how long and dysfunctional it actually is could give the ride a new lease of life

Day trip to towers when I was about 10-12ish, I was a wimp for half the day and then I was talked into nemesis and I was hooked on thrill rides. I did regularly visit Thorpe and lego when I was younger but nemesis was my first 'big' ride.

Busiest day in a while for towers yesterday still nothing amazing but 13,000 gate figure saying queue times were 0 at towers today simply wasnt right ...... Sonic and ritas queues were both full at times today other rides had queues due to reduced trains ect thirteen and air were both on 2 train op ....

Agreed I dont actually think the water slides apart from masterblaster represent what a good waterpark could be, even if towers was just to install a slide tower and add a few decent flumes/ found a way if adding a wave machine it would make a big difference. Also anyone who has done centre parks white water rapids anyone ?

Yes marc we noticed this last night too I'm sure ive seen the ones coming off the lift hill itself before though ? There is about 3/4 sets of sprays I think ?

Colossus struggles to get 1000ph thats partly due to the ride system blocks out if the next train is sent before the other has started to move forwards out of the brakes

Estimated queues will never be accuate due to so many reasons how close people stand together exit passes/ fast track ect... However that said a turnstyle at the entrance and station would tell the operator how many people are physically in the queue at that point.

Colossus maybe more operational as it often needs to use Sand dummies when empty early in the day, as when Colossus doesn't have a queue its a ball ache as all the bars need to be raised to reset the system ,locking out cars can help this, it also prevents excessive wear and tear rather than running empty. I'm not saying its an excuse but I can see why they do it those bars are not light and cause back problems for staff

I'm not bashing Marc just saying I know why shutdowns happen, but its not great for customers and a day out overall. Thorpe has been so much better the past couple of years just today has been an off day

We have visited thorpe atleast 30 times this year and today has deffo been the worst so many shutdowns and evacs today. Tidal shut down as 2 boats ended up in one block on the lift hill evac, loggers evac, storm surge opened around 1 along with stealth. Detonator got stuck half way up. Rush is one swing which gives it the longes queue on park. I accept the park cant help much of this in terms of planning its just a pain

Dunno if this has been mentioned but thorpe park launched coca-cola freestyle today in the old neptunes ices unit... Quencers and annual pass cups can be refilled here
