There was a large fire at Drayton Manor overnight unkown whats been affected, however the animals are reported safe

Anyone know what the car park is being used for at the moment, is it storing new cars ? As the car park was basically full tonight when we drove past .

Is a reduced entry cost for event, due to grotto, pantomime etc, drink and cookie included for adults, present and cookie for kids.

I cant help but think this us a mistake for the park..... ok drop tower but a higher capacity one .
Anyone remember when Thorpe wanted to add another Detonator???

A new coaster would make this park even more stupidly huge. I hope Mack introduce something completely new, though basically any of their large scale models would be lush (besides the Big Dipper, which probably won't happen due to capacity).
A coster is one thing but the park are planning 2 new areas and 5 new attractions at the moment ....

Visited towers today although was just a kids visit , the park was deserted I cant even say it was this quiet post smiler and 10-6 opening is a surprise.
As we went for my kids no coasters for me today 😞.
have to say though the offering for younger kids seems to be declining at towers with the loss of attractions for the likes of dungeons and rides that have been sbno. Enterprise has some pretty semi perm/long term looking signage about its future.

Possibly just inside the ops rooms and back areas but still it shows activity indoors.
I don't expect it to open this year either but at least it shows there is work ongoing to get it open.
Only thing I can think of is the ride PLC computers....

Noticed yesterday when queuing for Colossus that the air con for TWD building was running, and there was a sign placed on the emergency exit door near Colossus's station regarding COVID-19 safety - normal style as found around the rest of the park saying "no entry". So there must be something happening inside, probably just engineers routine testing/maintenance but hopefully the park has found a way to get it open at some point soon.
There isn't any Air con inside possibly fans but never known them to run in a long long time.

normally computer/lift hill related but could be anything

Tbh at present ride operations and staff costs are potentially lower with closed rides, admissions, F&B etc so overheads will be lower atm.
So it really depends on the bigger picture to aim to break even

If the Ultimate isn’t reopening with the park, my only reasons for seeing this are:
- Not being able to reach minimum operating capacity due to social distancing

If the latter is why this is closed this is very concerning for the park and could mark the indefinite beginning of the end for Lightwater. However one could question the downward spiral has been hitting for years, with numerous ride removals!
Its a very compact cattle pen filling the area beside the station if I remember right
