Quantum required significant work and changes over the winter period. These weren't planned and came a bit out of the blue. As has been noted, the ride is notably being put back together, but there's still a lot to do. This is different to situations like Black Buccaneer, Ripsaw, etc, where something needed to happen and money wasn't spent and it was just closed.

It's obviously poor that it isn't ready, especially at a time when this is more common within Merlin. If this was uncommon, people would be a lot more forgiving (a bit like when Quantum didn't open until August one year like 12 years ago).

But in fairness, the park are doing something and spending money to get Quantum sorted. It's just taking a long time.

Quantum needed a new made to order gearbox I believe in 2007, the delay was beyond the parks control as the lead time for the part was over 6momths.

Fins definitely were open for lunch a few weeks ago - the menu was limited but they were open..

We were told It wasn't serving food when we went... on the may bank holiday weekend.

What time was that? They don't start serving lunch until 12, but sometimes that changes and it's a bit later.

We were told it was down to staff shortages.

  5. Tbh weve lost the pulled meat company which tbh was one of the better in house options, the BBQ, fins no longer serves lunch..... so pizza/pasta mexican by rumba. Kfc/bk or hotdogs and kebabs.... oh wait doughnuts......

There  are multiple empty units across the park, and the options are worse than 15 years ago... #progress

This was tweeted, drop towers confirmed then!

Another tweet you can zoom in on the text.

Wonder if these said may day events actually happened at the park or if it was all fictional .....

The first piece of concrete evidence pointing towards this happening: https://www.sinchew.com.my/content/content_2037421.html?fbclid=IwAR25SGFW5k4h9W1n5rISMI44OXeVUXE8QTf3VfCoAxh2dTHXGGyH2yOHvtM

The 10 inversion coaster which was meant to open in Brazil but never did, which was then shipped to open in Malaysia but never did is being sold. The exact quote:

Though of course it's not necessarily Flamingo, it seems highly unlikely to be for anywhere else. And at a cost of £2.3m (excluding shipping and construction, which I believe isn't as expensive as people may think), that's a proper bargain for such a large coaster.

Anyone know the make of this coaster ??

I'm certain I've ridden Inferno in the rain before? Not recently but I remember it being fairly normal a few years back.

Start of every season the dirty/rusty water comes back for a while whilst it clears.

It's quite clear Saw Alive won't be returning for FN's if all the signage has been taken down. If it was someone being lazy, it would have been left up.

I remember reading someone heard a host/other employee saying (this was from a comment a few years ago) that the barge was sinking into the lake  and would only last a further 2 years. It seems that that 2 years period has passed now.

The barge has been in the same sinking condition for a decade (even when by vortex)the front is all split open and was supported.

Honestly the Thorpe belle was a 2 level venue that could have been utilised better for a scare attraction/attractions (one mega maze or 2 smaller ones.

Arguably better to give them a dedicated day at the start of the year after they've had a chance to iron out a couple of teething issues and be closed for a random midweek day than give them a dedicated day on their first operating day when things will inevitably go wrong and be open for a random midweek day (when few MAP holders will visit).

Depends how its been sold to said purchaser, if its a heavily discounted rate per head vs mid season for effectively a preview/Beta day
