  1. I don't mind it at the entrance but last year it stretched all the way to Fish. It will be interesting to see if that is kept seeing as it will kill any atmosphere The Swarm hopes to pull off.

Yes, Robb Alvey is a less than perfect, put it that way. It's annoying that he has to be one with such clout in the industry.
  3. So 6 seconds were cut out of The Woman in Black to make it scrape into the 12A rating. The result of which is this:The movie itself is decent but some plot changes from the source material were bizarre. Quite a few original moments were replaced by generic Hollywood horror stuff.
  4. They could very easily block off that gate by fish if they want to funnel people at opening down one entrance. It's going to be such a crush SWARM...

    Great album.
  6. I won't be able to make it but it's pretty awesome thing for Thorpe Park to do, especially so close to the ride opening. Hope you all have fun!

Sure they can try but this video is just complete nonsense. I feel no emotional involvement and it is neither engaging or entertaining. I don't like her but at least her older videos were somewhat captivating. Fitzgerald did the reckless car imagery nine flipping decades ago.
  8. So instead of trying to solve last year's problem (underestimation of gate figures) at AP day, there's just going to be one massive crush on the first open weekend? Bravo whoever thought of that.
  9. I guess you're unlucky or I'm lucky then. About half of the students at my college are international and most of them are awesome.
  10. The difference is that Merlin has some massive competition in Germany.
  11. The reason they are unwilling to give reasons is because they don't want to have to deal with students disagreeing with them. I'm sure for every valid complaint, there would be many more invalid ones. It's rubbish to be on the receiving end but that's a flaw with the amount of people applying compared to the places. Remember for Oxbridge, up to half the places may be going to international students as well. Well the students at Oxford do their best to alienate everyone around them

Forgettable, due to this music coupled with the patchy sound coverage. The new lights are nice though and should be expanded upon.
  13. It's kind of depressing that The Swarm is considered 'average length'.
  14. I always thought that it was strange that Thorpe didn't want a wooden coaster due to the GP thinking they are unsafe. Even more so now they decided to go down this route for The Swarm's PR. I guess it's just maintenance.

It's a pity that the park have a license that allows a wide selection of music and they choose something so...flat. There are much better options for this genre and a playlist could be made.
  16. I may be wrong but I think the actors were only in the queue when Saw Alive was closed. There may have had some extra for Fright Nights on peak days as well.
  17. I preferred the BBC Sherlock series. The explanations were more than:

I went to a Coldplay concert but wasn't given an LED wristband #firstworldproblems
  19. Not really a problem. Last Sunday at 4 or 5ish, all the big rides had some sort of queue (apart from Ski Party, but that's because it looks terrible).
  20. Don't understand why there were Transformers rumours for Florida anyway. Isn't it the same ride system as Spiderman?More Harry Potter? No thanks. The current area looks great but there are a lot of other films that deserve an attraction as well. Also, Universal seems to be a lot more cautcious about PR since Potterland opened up, the most annoying being that actors at HHN have been massively toned down because someone punched one in the face.
  21. http://latimesblogs....os-angeles.htmlHarry Potter is going to Universal LA. Not a surprising move but any large scale expansion is going to mean less soundstages for filming. I wonder how it's going to fit in.
  22. I know it won't be changed this year but having a vote for reliability is odd because it isn't subjective really. A ride is working or not working.
  23. It should be more than a third off. Anyone between 16 and 25 can get a third off train journeys with a Young Persons card. Going to be fun next year with the 8% price rise.
  24. I believe he is already shutting the gate.
  25. That's a shame. The Jack the Ripper changes are a bit perplexing but at least better than the old storyline. The shrinking of the pub scene is pretty annoying though as it's a mission to actually have enough space to close the door.
