  1. The planning application to rebuild the Skyride station in Cloud Cuckoo Land has now been submitted. It's in the same style before, which to be honest I'm quite happy about.
  2. To be honest, even with great people, I struggle to enjoy Thorpe anymore...Chessington all the way
  3. You can't be talking about the same place I am...I think it is delicous to be honest, and much MUCH better than most theme park's food...
  4. Yeah, this was a great listen, and like you Sheepie, I've listened to it more than once! :DI also believe, that the way he talks about the "New" B&M, that it is destined for the Towers, or at least a Merlin Park. What could it be... :DPossibly a Sit Down Version of Vampire, if you get what I mean. <_<Where, the seats sort of rock, a combination of a 4D coaster, and swinging coaster. I wish I was good enough with paint, so I could explain through a diagram.
  5. Oh, I expect that would be awesome. Probably similar to the Run Chessington thing I did, but for a whole week/ 2 weeks.I'm on my Work Experience at the moment, at the MK Dons Football Club. The office work is diabolical and I just do the jobs no-one else will do, but the coaching part of it is great <_<Really wish I could have done it at Chessington/ Legoland though.Make sure you let us know how you get on
  6. Well Done, I'm very jealous ;)But surely you should have thought of transport first ?Edit: What are you doing at Legoland ?
  7. Edit: Also, I think more quizzes a week is only a good thing. People will end up remembering about it, and also it means it is easier for people to catch up.
  8. It won't have been sped up...It does feel faster in the dark though, So I can see why you may have thought that.
  9. That was pretty good :(I got 21 , but should have had 22.I typed in Mr Monkeys Banana Boat! Instead of RideEdit: There is an Alton Towers one Alton Towers Quiz29/34 for me
  10. Bit of random info, but anyone who's watched tonight's episode of the Armstrong and Miller show will know that Alton Towers got a quick mention
  11. James6

    Th13teen

    No,I'm afraid it's not.
  12. James6

    Th13teen

Erm... that's not the actual name.
  13. Ride Counts are even harder than guessing queue times, as it's you who decides what rides to go on and how many times.
  14. Nope, I didn't think there was either. There was a leaflet with the shows details etc, but not an actual Hocus Pocus map like at Alton.
  15. Fright Nights music was still playing on some rides.
  16. Well I left at three, at that time, pretty much everything was 35, even Colossus was at 35 by now.Stealth did break down for a while at about 12.
  17. Yep :)Thanks for reminding me actually, In my opinion, Saw's Single Rider queue is pretty much perfect, it's not hugely advertised so not many people use it, which then makes it easier for the ops, but still keeps the ride running to capacity, also as the row for Single Riders is shared with disabled pass holders, it also means it's not cramped. It's a win win situation for everyone
  18. I said it was good... not great The word great is reserved for Alton, whilst the words absolutely incredible are reserved for Chessington :)I was amazed as well Paul, and to be honest had wished I'd headed up to Alton. Meh oh well, still a "good" day
  19. Just had a good day at Thorpe. in compasrison to other trips to Thorpe that is, still not a patch on Chessington though :)Was much busier than expected, Colossus was 70 mins for a lot with pretty much everything else being around 45There were still the remains of quite a few Halloween additions around the park.Oh and the new themed benches are fantastic! However why there are Lost City ones in Canada Creek, I don't know :PSomething I pick up on every visit is the fact that Single Rider queue's NEED to be added. I didn't see one cycle on any ride without at least a spare seat, and whilst waiting for Rush, even on one swing, in about 8 cycles there was easily 14 seats that were sent empty. One more thing, everyone complains about Samurai always being run on a poor setting and it's always doom and gloom with it, Vortex is affected much worse. Today was my first in a while on it, because of it giving such inconsistent ride experiances, and I can say it's going to be a while again. It was short boring, and I probably would've enjoyed X:/ No Way Out more, which is pretty impossible to do.Overall it finished the season off well, and whilst I enjoyed it, Thorpe visits for me are going to be few and far between.3x Stealth1x Nemesis Inferno1x Rush1x Detonator1x Vortex1x Samurai14x Saw!! :POh I almost forgot the most annoying thing of the day.Upon arriving I went straight to Saw, I was somehow the first there and I was told that it wasn't opening for the first hour, so I went on Samurai, whilst on Samurai, it opened... so I was already behind in a big ol' queue, I dunno why they did this, possibly to get people to go to other areas rather than everyone at Saw but still. Meh, I made up for it in the end
  20. Hopefully :)People who have been on the last few days of the season in previous years have reported low queue's
  21. I'm going tomorrow for the first time in ages, and actually I'm very excited
  22. Really? I can't believe they are. To me they feel slighty different, although maybe that is just the theming. I'll have to have a closer look at the layout of them both when I next visit them
  23. I've always been told to keep my shoes on, on Nemesis Inferno, but you are actually told to take your shoes off if they are loose on Nemesis.I assume this is because on Nemesis Inferno, if the train stops on the lift you have to go on the path/ gravel at the bottom, wheras on Nemesis it's a straight walk into the station.
