Haha yes my first thoughts after watching were... "Coming Soon" The website still says 6th May though - I'd like to think that Merlin would be pretty quick at removing that otherwise people will be booking up thinking it will be open. Although that said - photos on FB yesterday on Thorpe's page clearly show the "Arriving 6th May" sign. If it's not open for the 6th, then the 11th would be grand, ta. And can I be the first to say there would be some sort of sick irony if the Ghost Train was "delayed".

Yep Hollywood Studios has plenty of alcohol available, we went to a fully stocked 50s style bar - and there was a cocktail bar near Honey I Shrunk The Kids but that's now shut. A lot of the food stands have Corrs Light etc. if you want some refreshment. Tip for Animal Kingdom - there's a "proper" bar near where the Lion King show is - if you order from that bar, you have the whole service charge faffing about, whereas directly opposite there's normally a drinks cart where there's none of that aggro as you aren't sitting in a "bar"!

C'mon guys can't we all just talk about when Colossus is never going to get repainted as per usual?
-
Yep agreed - Stealth is fine (and beautiful) as it is. Just scrap Rita and use the trains as spares for Stealth #everyonewins

If they had fracked in Amity Cove then the gas tower would have no excuses not to be working.
-
I've meant to ask this before - is that woodchip/plyboard underneath the "Ghost Train Shop" sign on the exterior, as if the sign isn't big enough? EDIT: Also assume No Drill No Spill is a fracking reference too. Hmmmm! Similarly to Benin - if there is some anti-fracking undertone to this ride then - that's a bit bizarre and I won't be too impressed

Probably Tweet them, I don't think the 12p address is monitored.
-
Yes I got the sold out page after inputting details - I thought it was a fault so tried again with another email address - I've had an email on both addresses, so should I be successful on both, I will let someone have them on here. Apparently each winner gets 4 tickets in this draw.
-
Thorpe Park twitter page says they are still being sent out - screenshot of the email I received.

Just got an email from Merlin: "Dear Mathew On Friday 25 March 2016, our 12p ticket sale went live too early. This is the last thing we wanted, and understandably it left you frustrated and annoyed that your chances of winning may have been affected. We could continue to apologise, but actions speak louder than words. We promised we would try to make amends if we could, so as a gesture of goodwill, we will be more than trebling the amount of 12p tickets available for 2016 - a further 4,000 tickets will be made available as part of the draw! On Monday 18 April 2016 each person who registered to the site before the main sold out page went live on our website for all to see will have their details automatically entered into the draw which will be run by an independent adjudicator. You are one of those people, and there is nothing else you need to do to be entered." Fair play chaps, excellent work!

Agreed, the level of mystery sounding the ride has been quite impressive - fingers crossed this results in the public being intrigued and keen to visit instead of not being bothered because it's not a visible coaster etc. The adverts better be good

Could be the return of the Vampire station urinator?

I'm just a humble bag holder, I know nothing
-
Are there any 2-4-1 promotions running at the moment? (Or is that at stupid question ) - off to Thorpe on 11th May for some unencumbered thrills, and I'm not an AP holder.
-
Saw a photo of the station building the other day - where the queue goes in to the projection room. My goodness the building looks grubby from the outside - lots of moss/algae/water staining on the white exterior.

Just watching a Chessington vlog from a few days ago - I see that the Zufari preshow no longer happens - is that a change for this year?

Chessington: First time visitors view
MattyMoo replied to ThumbRemote's topic in Your Planned Trips and Reports
ThumbRemote - many thanks for a detailed post/trip report, it's always interesting (and, very much concerning) to see a theme park without perhaps the rose-tinted spectacles of a theme park fan (although some could argue that the "fans" are far more cutting and unforgiving!) It sounds like a particularly awful day out you've had - again, that's a real shame to read as I have a fondness for CWoA with awesome memories from the early 90s! -
What the... I don't even... no words. You being serious, or are you taking the p....?
-
I haven't seen them use the Fasttrack queues at all this year but in Thorpe Park's defence I haven't visited this year.

Derren Brown's Ministry of Sound Meet 23rd July 2016

Do you think they'll play any Carly Rae Jepsen? Asking for a friend. (Also - worth booking on early bird d'ya think?) -
They apparently used my bit on 5 Live earlier #soproud

BBC Radio 5 Live are doing a piece on the ticket mess up during drive time tonight
-
Thorpe have been silent on Twitter for the last 20 odd minutes following this
-
I'll buy 2 for 13p each?
-
It wasn't even 0959... it was a good 5 minutes before 10 and they'd gone! Normally with timed release of tickets (Ticketmaster etc.) you expect them to go on at 0959-1002.
