  1. I agree. I put the word "uncreative" in brackets because I actually do find them enjoyable, whereas a lot of people don't.
  2. I know I keep resurrecting old threads, but I just want to give my opinions on all of the rides.:)I really love Colossus. I think it's fantastic. Personally, I have never noticed the roughness at all. I love the view from the top and the first drop has a surprising amount of airtime. Another highlight for me is the airtime hill about 1/3 of the way into the ride. Lots of airtime to be had there too.I actually don't mind the 'uncreative' use of barrel rolls as I really like the sensation of repeatedly rolling. It's bizarre. The rest of the loops are decent as well. It's not a smooth as NI but it's always gonna be one of my favourite rides in the park.
  3. I have no further interest in riding Depth Charge unless there is little or no que. It's just not worth it when I could be riding Saw, Rush, Detty etc. I'm not sure whether or not I want it ot be removed though. The younger people really love it and it can be a good laugh.I wouldn't be sad to see it go but I think Thorpe should consider how much fun this ride is for the kids before they knock it down.
  4. I used to really enjoy this ride, Unfortunatly I can't ride it anymore due to a personal reason.Mind you, I probably wouldn't ride it anyway unless it was hot.Saying that, I remember riding it on a cold day on some occasions. Not my best idea.
  5. Fantastic ride. The feeling where you come flying out of your seat, where it looks like you're gonig to keep flying up into the sky is like nothing I have ever felt before. What makes it so terryfying is that there are limited restraints so when you face the sky, you really do feel like you're gonna fly out of the ride and keep going up lol. I love it.I can see why this ride scares so many people. However, I'm so used to it now that I find it really relaxing. Jesus would be really proud of Thorpe for creating such a great ride.I havn't been on this since 2007 as last year when I went, I didn't get time to ride.:(Fingers crossed for the 24th March 2010.
  6. I still havn't been on Stealth. I just have this thing about launches. I've been on Rock N Roller Coaster and Rita and I love them but the launch of Stealth looks terrifying. The height and the drop don't bother me at all. It's just that launch lol. Hopefully, I'll pluck up the courage one day because I know I'd love it.
  7. Thank YouI wish it was still at TP. But I still havn't seen Time Voyagers so I might prefere that anyway.
  8. I'm pretty sure the fire was in 2000 and Colossus wasn't built until 2002 I believe.I just meant that before the fire there wern't any real thrill rides and I think that once they added Detty, Vortex etc to replace WWH, they decided to make it a more thrill-orientated park.
  9. I've never been on this ride. It doesn't look like the sort of ride I would enjoy. Judging by other people's comments I think I won't ever bother with this ride and stick with the ones I enjoy.
  10. I used to really enjoy this. Does anyone know if the song is available to listen to as it was really catchy?

This was an incredable experience for me. It's not scary but it is certainly a unique sensation. Btw, does anyone know fast it goes?
  13. I grew up believing that there was some kind of god and when I was 16 I became a fundementalist Christian. However, I am no longer a christian. I find the morals and messages of the bible to be disturbing and innacurate. I am against religion as it just seems to be another way of brainwashing people and I don't think that's a good thing. People should think for themselves and I don't approve of indoctrination. I could never live by the rules of the bible, quaran, torah etc as I'm against the teachings. Obviously, I think some of Jesus's teachings are very good, but even some of what he said is a little unsettling.I'm not sure if I would call myself an atheist though. I am a believer in science and evolution and tbh I find the idea of a god to be extremally unlikely. On the other hand, there is a constant nagging in the back of my mind that thinks there might be a god, so I can't really label myself as an atheist. I'm definatley a skeptic and a non-believer but I don't know whether or not to call myself an atheist or an agnostic. I don't know if there is a god or not, but I would be more willing to accept Deism than Theism tbh. It's nice to think that there is a god but I really have too many problems with the concept for me to become a believer lol. I don't have a problem with people who believe in god as long as they arn't like my former friend who told me I was demonic and Satanic and constantly ranted on about how sick gay people are.
  14. I'm not sure what to vote for because I really love rock music, heavy metal and rap and I can't decide what to choose lol.
  15. I wish that I had been to Thorpe Park when this attraction was around. It looks really great. We don't really have any decent haunted house rides in this country imo, so it's a pity that this was destroyed. However, at least the loss of this beloved attraction gave birth to the new thorpe park which included getting thrill rides. If it wasn't for the fire maybe there would be no Saw, Stealth, Rush, Colossus etc.At least Thorpe have a new 'scary' attraction coming up. But WWH sounds a lot more enjoyable than SAW ALIVE imo.
  16. I love the Orlando parks. Havn't been there since 2005 and I really miss it.My favourite rides would probably be Soarin', Tower Of Terror, Rock n' Rollercoaster, The Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Journey To Atlantis, The Incredable Hulk, Kraken, The Revenge Of The Mummy.... etc etc etc. It's impossible for me to choose my top ten favourite rides in Florida, let alone my number one favourite lol.
  17. Colossus - Heide Park - Germany.I would love to go on this ride soooooooo much. Also I wouldn't mind going on Expedition G-force or Silver Star.
  18. Other than the runaway train this was my first coaster. I also introduced my girlfriend to thrill rides with Vampire.Personally, I love the ride, despite the fact that my head is constantly hitting into the sides of the restraints lol.The ride is a great way to introduce someone to thrill rides as it's thrilling, fun and enjoyable without being scary.Love it.
  19. That's pretty good. I guess the day I went was just particually bad. Hopefully I'll be going back later this year.
  20. Unfortunatly, I have never had the pleasure of riding the original, however I am a big fan of NI and always go on whenever I'm at thorpe. The main highlights of the ride for me are the first drop and the vertical loop. It's so much better if you're not holding on. I'm going back to Thorpe for the first time in nearly a year on the 24th of this month and I'm getting my typical nerves that some of my favourite rides may be closed lol.Btw, when I went on Inferno last year I noticed a lot of effects that I hadn't noticed before. I'm assuming they were either recently added or they hadn't been working for a few years?

    Slammer

Apparantly Slammer is the only one now. the original, 'Sky Swat' was removed. However, I am unsure If any more have been added anywhere since Slammer.
