No idea on the mazes, but they're European so will probably be decent by the standards people set out... Staggered openings occur a LOT, it's awful... Baco, Tutuki Splash and Sesame Street open from opening, then the likes of Khan and Shambhala at around 10:30-11:00, then the rest of the park from about Midday... The Fastrack queue when I went last year was never ever busy, even on a weekend... As for rides, at first just follow what's open in the park as it opens, as you'll be walking straight onto these things anyway (bar Hurakan Condor, so maybe aim to get there for opening)... A BIG suggestion is to check when Templo del Feugo opens for the day, and then arrive about 30 minutes prior to that to ensure you get on the first showing... That does have Express, but even with that you can end up waiting a long time, best to get it done quickly, even if it is amazing...

The value of the hotel is amazing stuff, given that it's one of the most expensive on-the-gate parks in Germany at €45 each... I agree that Night Hawk is terrible and needs removing quickly, given the space it uses so badly could be used to a much greater effect by a park that tends to squeeze in rides throughout, with Chiapas being a perfect example... Hopefully once the Mystery area addition is completed in 3017, they can move on to working on that building and turning into something that truly fits the park's more recent additions...

Fungle Safari closed in 2008, that'll be why Fish wasn't moved there when it reopened after the move...
-
So next year we're getting Fish moved for a second time with a retheme... This is top tier theme parking right here... Also, was Scorpion Express really a success? Given that Chessie's figures don't tend to fluciate wildly, and a lot of visitors probably didn't turn up last year because the park was dreadful and pointless...

This is correct, given that I'm still here

God it's not even closed season and everyone's seemingly obsessed with Top Spins again... *hibernates*

If only there were other parks that are cheap and easy to get to which were getting investment if people are bored with what the UK are presenting...
-
Or indeed, ANYWHERE in Germany...

Let's be honest here, Mean Streak doesn't need rain to be painful, it does a perfectly good job of that in nice weather...

Will the ride queues be shorter though? Where will those who would normally be queuing for the mazes go if there's no standby one? 5 mazes, that usually gain 2 hours worth of queue... So that's another couple of thousand now roaming the park instead of being in one place... Here's an article about Disney forcing people to use Fastpass+ on Midway Mania in Florida which is pretty much the same issue Thorpe are having, only that it's available to everyone: http://www.themeparktourist.com/news/20141008/29380/5-questions-raised-disney-s-newest-fastpass-test-disney-s-hollywood-studios

You could, I do remember some people who went to Thorpe for Saw's opening day refused such an offer (though it was return tickets as they had no MAP) and wanted tickets to go to Towers and they were not going to visit again anytime soon... If you dislike the park so much, don't visit, regardless of any bribes you might receive via complaining...

I get the feeling it's a picture from the past, rather than current operations... Besides, it rarely ran 3 trains over Halloween because it kept stopping at lift 2... The system just couldn't take the cold and the constant change in running operation...
-
And that's no Fastrack whatsoever, whilst pushing the rides to get the highest throughputs possible... Makes a bigger difference to every single guest, rather than making that quick pound by overselling to the impatient masses...

Hansa first did it with Fluch because they got delayed due to snow and general weather being crap... They've decided it's probably best to do it with the others (Schlange was unfinished when I went in it's opening year) to ensure that there's no worry of the weather being awful again and delaying projects (they are on the north coast)... As an aside, here's what Fluch's tower looked like during construction: Pretty similar situation to now right? Here's the current state of it: I think that when finished, Karnan will look just as amazing... Besides, they'll probably be painting it over the course of next year...

Bear in mind that the final goal of Reserve n Ride is for it to be on EVERY ride (or at least, major attractions in addition to the coasters), is where the system will fall down... S'all well and good being able to book a timeslot on one thing, but then what do you do in the future in this queueless utopia Thorpe are trying to acheive? Everyone else will be going to ride the same limited number of attractions that aren't on the reserve list whilst they wait... Imagine if over Fright Nights all the mazes AND coasters were on the system... So that 2 hour wait for Cabin in the Woods is limited to what? A few flats? Where will everyone else be? The flats as well... So what else can you do at Thorpe, given you can't queue up for another maze or coaster in that time? It's such a flawed system when you look at what they want the final aim to be...

It's basically the Ultimate... Looks crap...

Original storyline was basically a journey to the moon, the lift hill in the middle of the ride had a moon face projected up instead of the supernova, really the difference was the music (classic instead of base) and the odd bit of theming here and there (the change was never THAT major)... Would love it to return to the original version (mainly with the viewing windows in the queueline) with some of the newer additions Mission 2 brought in (laser tunnel finale)...

Apparently Space Mountain, Cafe Hyperion and Videopolis are all closing next year for a 6 month refurb... Potential new trains for Space Mountain!
-
Clearly does... Every park needs an AquaTrax!
-
I presume this will follow previous trials in that there'll be a normal standby queue? If that happens, good luck to those people, since they'll be stood there watching as hoards of Fastrackers and Reserve n Riders go in...

There are a few things that can be done to the Magic Kingdom: Two new E-Ticket attractions, one in Adventureland (a spot once reserved for a clone of the Indiana Jones Dark Ride) and one in Frontierland. One of these additions should be a water ride (Splash Mountain-esque), but not sure on the other addition. Fantasyland is alright, aside from maybe touching up a few of the attractions within. Perhaps a Little Mermaid or as Creek suggested, a Frozen based attraction to go next door to Small World (where the shortcut pathway to Discoveryland lies). Discoveryland will get Star Tours 2, and is rumoured to have a mini Star Wars area to go with it (where the 4D Cinema is). As for the Studios, what it needs is a complete redesign like California Adventure got. New entrance, removal of the Tram Tour, hell even remove the Studios theme. There have been rumours that the likes of Armageddon and RnRC will get rethemed to Marvel stuff in the future anyway, whether that'll happen is another matter. What I'd LOVE to see is a new Muppet 4D cinema show to link into the new films actually, in amongst improving the general capacity, design and attraction types in the park itself... The Studios really is the thing that really needs a real big fixing, Kingdom needs a bit of touching up and some actual new attractions...

Based solely on attendance figures, Disney is bigger than PA... However, it's also expensive, and requires people to book far in advance to get the best value (unless you book out of peak season)... DLP's expenditure it probably also a lot larger than PA's... DLP has also ALWAYS been in debt... Bit of a ridiculous history with it all...

Has to be, the effects are very decent and being filmed on site pretty much confirms it... One thing Merlin can do is viral marketing in this way, like Smiler's videos...

It's stalled there LOTS of times over it's life... Though not as regularly recently...

http://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&ml=8109 So out-dated... May the court also know that Mack Bobsleighs were an invention of the 80s, only half of the apparent 60 years ago they existed in... A Gerst Bobsled doesn't have the throughput to be a suitable choice of investment for Thorpe though...
