Gruffalo is probably a reasonably 'timeless' IP though... Doesn't fit into the whole themed continents thing though, feels like all the Merlin parks really lack a distinctive direction in which to take forward...

It's having new technology in an environment completely new for it (and it arguably wasn't designed for, though that's another topic entirely)... Strange design choices in order to get that "unique selling point" as if just having a new ride isn't enough of one... Means we scrape the bottom of the barrel with things like I'm a Celeb and the world's first rollercoaster FULLY dedicated to VR...

That was 4 years ago, plenty of time for any park to evolve and improve (apart from the park in your username of course)...

Sounds like you haven't visited recently at all, besides parks are more than the rides available, given Paultons is making a name for well priced, clean and above all fun day out, its no wonder the TA reviews are positive...

Bear in mind that this park was dying until Peppa showed up, I'm sure their plans for investments will take time over a period rather than every year something being built... There's still a fair amount of work for the park to do, their food is still crap for example...

I'm shocked no one picked up on the worst aspect of this suggestion in the removal of the now iconic lift hill noise... That would be a travesty!

Fly to Hamburg, S-Bahn to Hamburg Hbf, train to Sierksdorf (which might involve a change of trains) before walking the mile to the park... Its that easy...

It wouldn't be the first time this has happened at a Merlin park, or indeed ANY theme park in the world... Given that the Discovery Centres have the no lone adults rule, perhaps it will come into play... Within reason...

Gotta remember as well that Thirteen was a prototype, and has a ridiculously large pit foe the drop system... Most of the cost would've gone into those...

To be fair, you could have Tower of Terror or Kong or Gringotts break down on your first ride and it could potentially ruin the whole thing...

They'd need to do some serious rejigging if they wanted the entrance elsewhere (like the opposite side of the building), then it's likely that no one would ever find the entrance... It'll be exactly the same building and queueline, just a different theme inside...

Shame most of the land is green belt though... That's a good decision to move Carousel though, it's always been in a dodgy position...

Movieland is utterly fab, U-571 and Magma are worth the entry fee by themselves...
