Benin reacted to Mark9 in The Next Major Investment?
I personally think a third train on Hyperia, Inferno, Colossus and The Swarm should be the next big investment.

So weird that people are going on about "should've bought 3 trains" when it is not a regular thing for any park in the world to do. Parks 99% of the time will only buy enough to fit on the respective block brakes.
Why stop at 3? Get 4 trains on it, spend more money on a larger maintenance shed area instead. Problem solved.

Chop your legs off. Then you get double bonus of going on rides AND getting RAP.

BTM has always been fairly unreliable over the years for some reason.
Can't say for why though.

Once again channelling my inner Derren...
As Mark says, I'd say it's been "reliable" in that there aren't many issues on a standard day-to-day operation of the ride. The issue is it's having major hurdles with stalling, the lift hill shredding itself and other issues. It seems like these are more design problems which need ironed out (this of course comes from someone with basically no engineering knowledge, mind).
As an attendee at the media night tonight, I *personally* don't care that Hyperia might be closed for the event. Whilst I'd like another night ride with minimal queue, I've already had multiple. But let's not pretend that it potentially being closed for the event is fine: it will be damaging for them to not have it open and get content of it running for FN from influencers.
But of course, more importantly, it needs to be running for paying guests asap. It's much more damaging being closed for them.
There's certainly a possibility it could open tonight. It depends how quickly they can remove the train. They will want to avoid closing Saw, or at least minimise its downtime, so that will play a part. If they can remove it by around now, they certainly could run it today.
However, if the park choose to run it tonight but then keep it closed tomorrow, that is a huge kick in the teeth and absolutely not on. I hope they don't go down that path.

I mean they can open it just on one train for time being (or to make the vloggers and "celebs" happy).
My fully assumed guess is there's something about the design that failed to account for the weather Thorpe can experience being in the middle of a lake. But with more and more rides going for "stall" style elements there's a degree of risk involved in that choice.

Wild Asia was 2010.
Since then it's been Zufari, Croc Drop, new Carousel, the random Pirate flats, a mini flume & a few rethemed rides until Jumanji last year.
Still feels new purely down to the crap levels of investment.

Big news from Chessie then.

TL;DR
Wild Asia to be rethemed with a new coaster. Kobra survives. The Glamping binned off too as seemingly only on temp permission anyway.
Mexican (but not Rattlesnake) killed off for a land akin to CBeebies.
Other stuff like Lodges (when did that happen) and Water Park are on-going.

Finally been on it.
Area looks crap. Station is a weird attempt at Icon for some reason.
It's a great ride until the trims. All that momentum just thrown in the bin, leaving you wanting the rest of the layout rather than awkward corner.
Best ride on park? Sure.
Best ride ever? Not even close.

100% doable I'm sure on the app to put exact opening times for each ride on them.
However I think having a very open ended "it MIGHT close early" is more of an issue. Either say it WILL close say 30 minutes prior to advertised park closing time or just close it at that point and damn the consequences. Giving such vague wiggle room can cause issues.
Thorpe's communication back on my May visit (the day they didn't tell anyone in the park about Hyperia being closed until letting people in) still irks me. Now THAT was terrible communication, and probably part of that is out of fear of backlash that the big new thing wasn't open, but making it worse by not communicating properly to those visiting on park (social media posts, especially whilst people are travelling or already there don't help much).
Fear of bad PR often leads to it moreso than clear and open communication. Must've been a reason why the early closure announcement was only made in the Hyperia area after all.

Well MAP holders aren't going to spend money on park might as well get something out of them.
Though I dread to think how bad a run through with some "influencer" searching for THEIR reference in the maze would be.

It might be fire treated, but now the structure is essentially compromised so they need to replace the pieces affected.
For example, if you have a 30 minute rated fire door that withstands 25 minutes, it might not have failed but the fire stopping material is compromised, so you need to replace the entire thing.

Only been a week. Depends what they're waiting for given how burdenous the supply chain is these days when receiving stuff from abroad.

Passholders whine more than anyone.
I'd want to maim people if it were me dealing with it. Which was probably half the issue with the often sarcastic responses from Thorpe.
Fine for an individual, but not when representing a company.
