  1. And I love how Hersheypark totally say that sort of marketing is not their style.
  2. As a primary school teacher, I can appreciate that it would likely wind me up more than most.
  3. LOL. One has to laugh at this. I mean, honestly.
  4. I am there on the Saturday and Sunday, with a few people from TTF. So I will wave - not that I actually know anybody really!!
  5. The difference with Krake is that the theming being added at the moment, was originally meant to be included for opening. However, I believe there were several H&S issues and delays, meaning that they had not the time to add it for 2011. Obviously, Heide were not willing to close Krake to add the theming, so it has been left till 2012.
  6. My birthday is April 20th which is shared with Adolf Hitler.
  7. It leaks, it squeaks, it's hideous. It's ill themed. It's in the middle of the park, thus looks ridiculous. That's about the size of it.
  8. Joe Dravers, from GCI:Station:

    Air

Air was slow last week, but that's simply the cold weather.Air is very popular with general public at Alton Towers and goes to show that you don't need something aggressive to satisfy guests. It's a pity that the costs associated with the original development overran, thus leaving no money for certain thematic elements, such as support theming and water features.

I don't really want any more "abandoned" ride themes!
  11. It really is astonishing in every way that this is the same company installing Swarm, Raptor, Saw - The Ride, Th13teen, Krake, Secret Weapon 7, Battle Galleons, Wild Asia, Sharkbait Reef.STORM SURGE!
  12. Surely an Over 18's night would end up being pretty chav infested? Or perhaps not...?I went to Efteling last year and as awesome and brilliant as it was, the moment the sun set on the Saturday midnight ride close, all the local chavs from the hell hole of a town next door descend on the place and it's pretty nasty!
  13. That does look good. Such a shame I had to ride it last year!!
  14. I was there on Sunday on a TTF Mini Meet - I really enjoyed the day compared to the weekend before when the park had to chuck grit everywhere. The gardens and ruins were open also, which just added to the offering.I was impressed that Nemesis ran 2 trains all day in spite having no queue whatsoever. Typical AT!Roll on 24th March now, with Sub-Terra and Ice Age 4D!
  15. The Krake drop just didn't do much for me. I really don't know why.
  16. CONSTRUCTION UPDATES1. WodanIt's been a while, but all three trains are now on site for Wodan, and testing is allegedly due at the end of this month! They are currently tracking the ride, with a lot of it already done. However, the temperatures over the past fortnight have been as low as -20C, so it's not been easy. Nevertheless..2. Hotel Bell RockThe hotel is really taking shape, and will open on 11 July.3. Dark Ride / Rollercoaster 2013Approval has now been given for construction work to begin for the 2013 extension to the Enchanted Forest. It will encompass 3 new rides, a catering area and shops. Rides are likely to be a suspended powered coaster from Mack Rides, which will feature indoor and outdoor sections and be themed to Luc Besson's Arthur and the Invisibles. Luc Besson himself will be the creative director for the project. The other rides will be mini drop towers and a carousel. All due to open for March/April 2013. The rollercoaster will be the 12th to open at Europa-Park! Quite a number!
  17. Drayton Manor Park have had G Force and Shock Wave entirely repainted in the last 12 months...!Speaks volumes really.
  18. Ride Promo - nice and cheesy as ever from EP!
  19. Well - I think "Ohhhh, Roland" comes to mind, here! :)
  20. I thought Kraken was pants! Utterly forceless. Yet Dragon Khan was very forceful!
  21. DK is very good, but it didn't quite live up the hype. It's a very solid, old skool B&M though. I recall having a bit of a headache after, though!
  22. I dispute that.Oblivion is absolutely world class. It may be worn, it may look tired, but the entire way the ride was packaged is perfection - even more so, for me, than Nemesis (it's not a better ride, of course!).
  23. We just need a few longer coasters in Britain... Everything built here seems to be really short these days compared to many rides internationally. The Swarm, at 34 seconds, is going to be one of the shortest multi looping B&M coasters ever built. That's not to say it doesn't look lovely, of course.I think SW7 is going to world class too.
