I think they have to be booked online, but it would be worth contacting them directly about this as I'm not entirely sure.

It's got an 80 minute at the moment (according to the queue times website) and the next longest is Loggers Leap which is showing as 25 minutes. Glad to see the ride is reopen, let's hope they can increase overall ride reliability now!

I've noticed that the main theme hasn't been used on Nemesis Inferno for a while now, they have the dispatch theme but the atmosphere in the queueline used to be so good when they played the main theme instead of random jungle noises. Hope it's brought back soon as it is a really good piece of music!

I remember when Paultons was the park that sat on the side watching other parks invest! I've got huge respect for them for getting themselves in a position when they can invest as well as this, it just shows how a series of successful investments (Cobra, Edge and Peppa Pig world) can make a huge change on these smaller parks.

That doesn't sound good at all. People pay a high price to enter the Dungeons and having two main sections (boat ride and mirror maze) closed is not acceptable. Also, why ruin Sweeney Todd for Jack the Ripper when they already have a substantial section on it? I'm also very disappointed to hear about lots of broken effects, for an attraction which relies completely on these for the overall experience, having more than one or two broken effects is just poor.

I think the fact that they were selling Fastracks when the ride was on one train says it all to be honest. Whilst they're almost certainly not running one train to boost Fastrack sales, they could be using the situation as an opportunity to sell more.

Thorpe's next coaster is crying out to be a wooden coaster IMO. They have already taken steel coasters to their limits with plenty of inversions, a launch, different ride types (suspended, winged, sit down etc.) so now they need something with lots of airtime and preferably no inversions, and their height restriction limits an outstanding B&M hyper coaster, so wood is the way to go IMO!

Sorry but I've lost track, is this valid on premium MAPs?

Frankly I don't care how nice it is, £4.50 for an ice cream cone or £4.25 for a tub is absolutely crazy. Can't see them having many customers at that price to be honest.

I got the humour, but it just doesn't seem like a logical comparison in any way.

Theme parks and hospitals are not comparable at all.

School trips are in full flow at the moment, I counted at least 40 coaches in the car park on Friday but a Monday might be quieter?

It's extremely frustrating that people believe all the rubbish being written in the media, I've lost all energy and enthusiasm for trying to convince them that it is being misreported now, but maybe Towers should release a statement highlighting the fact that the instances are typical of theme parks etc? Or would that just make things worse?

Tomb Blaster retheme? It could just be something for Howl'o'ween though. -
This is getting beyond a joke now, a powercut has absolutely nothing to do with the terrible incident on The Smiler, so why the hell is it being reported on national news? Breakdowns and lift hill stoppages are regular occurrences in theme parks all over the world so why pick on Alton Towers? It's absolutely disgusting, if there is any new news on The Smiler then yes, report it as news but to be publishing lifthill stoppages and powercuts in national news is absolute craziness and frankly disrespectful to those involved in the incident on The Smiler. I mean are these people so stupid that they don't understand how theme parks work? I've just read a BBC article which stated that "The Thirteen" has a vertical drop and only reaches 21mph, I mean come on, if you are going to do a news report at least do some research! It's not rocket science, but it highlights that these people really haven't got a clue. This hounding is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable, the claims being published are completely wrong, which clearly shows poor research and a lack of care for actually getting the facts correct. This is not news, it is an attack on the park. Furthermore, the attitude of some of the public on social media is a disgrace, I mean can they seriously be thinking that Alton Towers will "shut down" over things like breakdowns? They are being spoon fed absolute garbage by vile people in the media and it has to stop.

I never got to experience the original Terror Tomb, but it must have been better than looking at a snake doing the exact same thing for two minutes.

Next thing they'll be reporting a dodgem bump as a crash. Whilst this Spinball incident came at a bad time, and probably shouldn't have happened, it's not a bloody crash!
-
I've sent an email to The Mirror highlighting my disgust on the way they have reported it, as they were appealing for anyone who was stuck on the ride to get into contact with them. Whilst I wasn't directly involved in the incident I have been stuck on rides in the past and it's a completely normal occurrence, so I sent a lengthy email. Bet they don't even read it!
-
How is this even getting reported? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-stoke-staffordshire-33357478 They really haven't got a clue have they, breakdowns are normal in theme parks, but anything to bring up The Smiler again! Seems to me like they are trying to generate as much bad publicity for Merlin as possible - ghastly people.

Thanks for the replies, glad it's not in operation.

Glad to hear they are using the third boat, I was beginning to think that they'd lost it!

Why isn't Colossus going to be open?
