I'm not so sure, the brass sounds very real. I reckon parts of it at least are real.
-
Absolutely agree!
-
I've said it 100 times already, but I used to really enjoy the ride in the back rows (forwards). Also, the queue system is a mess.

This strange contraption is testing... http://youtu.be/bk8JbSjsNTU

I really hope they do soon.

I always manage to get on everything... Regarding Reserve N Ride, it sounds like a hassle and means that you can't re-ride anything. It's also stupid that they are trialling it on days which wouldn't be busy anyway, as it is actually preventing people from getting high ridecounts. I will not be visiting on any days when they are trialing this system. Bringing back single rider queues would be better!
-
Agree 100% with these.

Where's the blood river gone? It was clear when I went
-
It doesn't affect the throughput of the ride directly, but it affects how much of that is utilised by the main queue. What I mean is if a ride can take 1000pph but fastrack takes up 400 of them then the main queue moves much more slowly.
-
A better system would be no jump the queue tickets/Q bots of any kind, and rides running at full throughput.

Fun City, Brean TR 24th & 25th May 2014

The cycles are very long if the park is quiet - I remember once having a 10 minute ride on the Waltzers! The staff there are usually good, but they weren't this time! (Well, some of them were - the woman running Terror Castle was a credit to the company). It was really only the two mentioned in the trip report who let the park down. -
Why don't they just do 9am until 10am in the normal queue? Weird logic here.

Anything that sees the back of that pile of crap would be a good option!

Alton Towers Trip Report - Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th May 2014 Despite being the school holidays, Alton Towers was surprisingly quiet! The weather was forecast to rain all day on both days, however we didn't get more than an hour of rain on either day. I can only assume that the forecast put some people off visiting. We had a very enjoyable two days at the park, with very few faults and I was very impressed overall (as the visit last October had been very poor!) Most rides were on full capacity, and apart from The Smiler breakdowns were minimum. HIGHLIGHTS: - Single Rider Queues are very useful at the park and I wish Thorpe would bring them back! - Lots of re-rides on Nemesis! - Got on The Smiler more than expected (considering it was school holidays). LOWLIGHTS: - Four breakdowns on Smiler on the second day (only one on the first day!) - Skyride down until late afternoon on the second day - Courtyard BBQ was not up to it's usual standard, and the one at Thorpe is much better. NOTES: - Duel is looking past it's best, and I hope it sees some work over the closed season. - Staff weren't their usual cheery selves. RIDECOUNT: Tuesday 27th May: Nemesis x7 The Smiler x4 Duel x3 Oblivion x2 Thirteen x1 Air x1 Nemesis: Sub - Terra x1 Congo River Rapids x1 Wednesday 28th May: Nemesis x12 The Smiler x4 Duel x3 Oblivion x1 Thirteen x1 Sonic Spinball x1 Rita x1 Hex x1 The Flume x1 TOTAL: 45

Absolutely awful! And to think that we breath the same air as idiots like that!

Fun City, Brean TR 24th & 25th May 2014

Thanks. Usually the staff are good there, and some of them were but a few let it down this time. -
Saturday 24th May: Evening Wristband 5pm - 9:30pm Sunday 25th May: Daytime Wristband 10:30am - 5pm The two dark rides are the main draw for us at Fun City (namely Astro Storm and Terror Castle), but there are various other rides and coasters which make a visit worthwhile. Astro Storm is a ride I really enjoy, partly because I like the ride and what Brean have done with it but also for sentimental reasons. In my opinion it is better at Brean than it was at Blackpool because it runs faster and it's better in the pitch black with effects triggering as you go past them. Terror Castle is a ghost train in it's most extreme form. It's a constant bombardment of graphic horror, noise, strobes, anamatronics and attacks from all angles (even above you!) and it is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the ride. Speed Wave, their new thrill ride is a Mondial Top Scan, which despite not being run on it's best setting, I found to be much more thrilling than Samurai at Thorpe. I'd place it behind Whirlwind at Lightwater however. Unfortunately we never got round to doing Xtreme this year, as there was actually a queue (the park was fairly busy this time ) and it's not a ride I find very thrilling anyway - they also tend to leave it on for far too long at Brean. I can't remember the ridecount for the weekend, but it wasn't as much as last year as the park actually quite busy on the Sunday. There was a staff incident in which we got caught up in a battle between two staff who clearly didn't like each other (and were both miserable sods). I will be naming and shaming them in an email to the park. The man running Astro Storm didn't want to work in the evening past 5pm on the saturday (thought he would get to go home early because it was raining), and he swore at us and told us to go somewhere else whenever we went on it. On the Magic Mouse (reverchon spinning mouse coaster), the woman moaned at us for buying wristbands as it meant that she actually had to work rather than go home, and stated that if we tried to go back on the ride she wouldn't even acknowledge us. True to her word, the next time we tried to get on she stated "don't even bother walking up those steps, it's closed!" When we went back on Astro Storm after that (which is opposite Magic Mouse), the man there said "did she just turn you away?" Then went rambling on about how we shouldn't be refused a ride once we've paid and that it doesn't close in the rain. He was clearly trying to get himself out of trouble. Furthermore, the following day the Astro Storm man made us tell a manager how bad the woman running the mouse was to get himself out of trouble. This is unacceptable, and somewhat ruined what was otherwise a very enjoyable weekend. We also visited the waterpark which was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I only took a few random photos, but I might as well post them. Thanks for reading, comments are welcome as always.

Don't forget Canada Creek Railway!
-
It doesn't fit in at all, either with Angry Birds or the surroundings. Just looks naff.
-
Sounds really good! Looking forward to seeing it soon.
-
Detonator looks absoloutely horrendous! It would have looked better if they had just left it as it was.
-
Well someone had to say it... In what way doesn't it suit it?
-
Fantastic ride count! Looking forward to visiting Oakwood when it's open until 10!
-
YES! More exciting than Angry Birds tbh
