Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed my first visit to Drayton Manor back in November last year. Pirate Adventure was like that when I was there. I believe that they only have four boats left that are in a serviceable condition, which is poor. A 5pm close is also poor in my opinion. Did you go on the Golden Nugget? I found that hilariously good.

I thought it was supposed to just have old signage on it? They never said that there was going to be a proper facade did they? (That said, I agree that it looks poor at the moment...)

I've always said (and been ridiculed) that Rameses Revenge runs on a better cycle than Ripsaw, which seems to spend lots of time doing not much in particular, and sometimes not even one flip.

They won't replace X, and I wouldn't want them to. They need more dark rides IMO, so replacing one with another wouldn't really benefit them as much.

I really liked the old London Dungeon - it might not have been in spotless condition but that all added to the feel of it IMO, I noticed the roof as soon as I went in, whereas with the old one the ceilings were either themed or so high up that you couldn't see them.

I find the Blackpool Dungeons much better themed than the new London Dungeons, which I found really disappointing.

I usually stay in "Phillips Apartments" - it's a five minute walk from the park and the prices are really reasonable.

That's all very well, but a lot of the time last year they opened at 9:30 for normal guests despite it saying 10am on the website.

So does it open at 9:30am for Annual Passholders or 9am?

I've seen them open the gates early before but I thought it was just everyone who was allowed in early?

Agreed, the cans could really do with a scrub! I think they will stay there even after the sponsorship ends as the ride wouldn't be the same without them.

Well it looks... different. A bit of a shame that the seats tilt back before you stop descending properly, it ruins the effect a bit IMO.

Never rode it at Trocadero but I've been on Drop several times where it is now (Funland, Hayling Island) and it's surprisingly forceful!

Like what? Rollbacks? (I've seen that happen before during testing)
