Hmm, there's no individuality about it. Each Doctor is supposed to have their own quirky thing (stick of celery, bow tie, leather jacket etc) but here it's just a standard everyday suit.
-
The entrance looks fine IMO, whilst bright green wouldn't be my first choice of colour it represents Wales. The only thing letting down the entrance is the roof in my opinion - it should be painted green as well, rather than being red and grey.
-
True. I really hope they've replaced the tunnel, it added a lot to the experience. It wouldn't have to be a big budget job, a warehouse building (kept pitch black) with a wooden frontage would do fine.
-
This is great, hopefully we'll see a few more improvements park-wide as well.
-
On the subject of 2014, does anyone know if Loggers is getting a new tunnel?
-
It sounds to me like they are getting more than one ride - "We plan to open a series of new attractions as well as continuing to improve and add to our existing facilities to deliver a high level of customer service across the park." This means that it probably won't be a Brer Rabbit retheme, as that wouldn't leave any room for more attractions (if it is only that site being used).
-
Something like that would be good. I'd also like to see Bounce on it's longer cycle all the time - sometimes it only does the second half.
-
I think the park needs a few flat rides to bulk out the lineup a bit, as whilst the rides they have are very good, there aren't enough of them IMO.
-
Oh for...Budget cuts, budget cuts, budget cuts! The end result is going to be completely unthemed with one "old" sign (similar to the danger ones on Zufari) saying Scorpion Express I reckon...

Looks like it was a good trip! What is My Bloody Valentine like with the lights on?
-
I'm hoping that they finish Skull Rock to an acceptable level over this closed season, as it was absolutely dire last season - as you can see in this video! It needs some black sheets covering the roof, doors to keep daylight out and to actually bother finishing the second half of the indoor section!
-
Lucky you! I was there in the first and second week of the summer holidays last year and both days they were only running 1 train on both coasters (aside from the last hour or so of the second day, where they put speed up to two). After dark is a great event I agree, I just with they were running more trains.
-
This is great news. Hopefully this will mean that they manage to run coasters on more than one train in school holidays! Megafobia and Speed were only on one train last summer (bear in mind that Speed's cars only seat 8 people). I hope they improve throughput this year.
-
It'll most likely look like that for the rest of 2014 though...

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has a lot for thrillseekers and families so might be worth looking into.
-
I'd really like to see a February half term event, or failing that a Christmas one.
-
The water level did look very high, but from what I could see it hadn't flooded the park. (Not that I would have been able to see if it had most probably).

I had a look over there and didn't see it, but I didn't actually walk right up to the fence (thought it would look a bit weird haha).
-
Finally, a piece of positive news for Chessington! This is actually a good move, and one that I credit them for.
-
I went to Thorpe today to renew Merlin Passes. The entrance is in exactly the same state as it was in November, so it looks like we won't be seeing an updated entrance this year. Aside from that, nothing out of the ordinary to comment on (although the staff in the annual pass building did have angry birds mousemats!)
-
I agree with this, it should be indoors as it would create a much better atmosphere! To be honest though the standard of UK queuelines is poor, the best is probably Raptor Attack at Lightwater.
-
Well yes I agree that effects there are unreliable, however they are far more expensive to maintain and keep going than the effects on rides like The Smiler - plus BPB don't have a huge multi million pound company behind them.
-
I'd like to see that changed. As a water ride, you should get wet and they should incorporate some more water effects onto it (I'll say it again, like the one at Drayton Manor!)
