Sounds like an awful day, not the sort of impression they want to be leaving on their guests.
  2. Ok thanks. Looking forward to this now!

I thought three trains was maximum (because I recall seeing a sign saying "We are running three trains on Tomb Blaster today to reduce your queuing time").

    Oh dear. Was it busy?
  5. All booked in for Summer Nights on Saturday now! Just a question - nowhere said enter annual pass number, is this right?
  6. Coaster replied to Aarron P's topic in UK Attractions
I agree with this - even a few black sheets in the dark section to hide the warehouse would have helped!

No. It's already confirmed to re-open at Chessington in 2014
  8. Would anyone who has been to summer nights recommend it? Is it worth the £5 event fee? And how long would I expect to queue for rides? Cheers
  9. I prefer Fright Night's pricing, but I do think that entry should still be free and that you should obtain a wristband to go in mazes which costs £5 (therefore people who aren't interested in Fright Nights aren't "blocked out" of the park for a month).

That's a shame, it ruins the look of the ride to some extent.

Yes, the theming that was falling apart because it hadn't been maintained.
  12. Its the dispatch times as much as anything! They may be running two trains but with dispatch times like that it's no better (if not worse) than running one.
  13. Sounds like a great day, wish I could have been there!! I'd recommend getting into contact with Pleasure Beach via Email or telephone about the ticket price - they are usually better on there.

Yes and putting air con in the warehouse ruins the experience far less than opening the vents.Chessington are a theme park making money and getting away with doing the bare minimum (heck, they even slashed Zufari's budget so they could destroy theming that they had failed to maintain) so they should be able to afford air con!
  15. I will be going in all the mazes with an open mind. I hope they are good quality - they could just be cheap revamps of the mazes.

^ No, people do want to ride the other rides before 2pm but they don't want to ride Drenched as they would be wet for the whole day.
  17. *Everywhere tackles crowds better than chessie.
  18. Coaster replied to Aarron P's topic in UK Attractions
^ Drenched cannot operate with under 12 people, and they don't always get that many people before 2pm.
  19. They are idiots. Not running rides at full throughput will seriously affect people's days - especially when they oversell fastrack as well. They don't deserve customers.
  20. Such a shame there are none of those waterchutes left.

The air vents were open when I was there. Really spoiled the ride. It also baffles me that they won't invest in a fire door that doesn't let light in (axe alley).
  22. Chessington deserve the complaints they are getting. It's summer and packed, they should be running at full capacity! Get Fury on 8 - I don't understand why they won't use 8 cars on packed days. As for Vampire, get proper staff/train staff properly and run the thing at a decent capacity! 2 hours and 40 minutes for Vampire is outrageous and people have a right to complain about that. The fact that other queues were short(ish) shows how badly the ride is being run. They need to pull themselves together, because at the moment that really do deserve the complaints they are getting. And with Rameses and Runaway Train down they should be striving to improve throughput on other attractions to make up for it, not running them at bare minimum! This really makes you wonder what goes through the heads of some people!
  23. 5pm and 7pm? I won't be bothering with that then - what's the point in putting on a Halloween event and then only getting another hour of park time than other days? They can't expect to get customers with shoddy opening times like that!
  24. Hold on, we have no reason to believe that they are keeping Asylum the same until Thorpe Park reveal it themselves! (Although personally I hope they do) Think it's worth mentioning that there is now a (sort of) Fright Nights page in the event section on the website, although it doesn't give away too much ATM.

That's amazing! Surely it's blocked off so noone can kick it?
