Fright Nights 2012
If a maze moves from Thorpe to Alton then I guess it will either be se7en or curse - I would expect Curse to be in Mutiny bay. I doubt Asylum would move because it is in a permanent building and is probably left set up all year (correct me if I am wrong.) Chainsaws will just be used at the end of one of Alton's mazes imo.

Favourite Thorpe Park Ride
The Swarm - it's a great coaster experience and has the best theming on park in my opinion.

Fright Nights 2012
I agree with that, if it wasn't over 18's only then I would go along because I love scare attractions and Fright nights and would like to be able to contribute my ideas!

Fright Nights 2012
I think that now that the park now need to focus on adding more theming to the mazes and some anamatronics. I would also like to see much scarier face paint on the actors.

Chessington General Discussion
I went to Chessington yesterday. Park was quite busy, and it closed too early - 5pm closing when the park is still full of people is not good enough.

The Best B&M Coaster in the UK
1. The Swarm - Sitting either side of the track and the theming interaction makes this my favourite B&M. 2. Oblivion - The sheer thrill of going down the drop and the feeling in your stomach as you go down makes this an amazing ride - It would be in first place but it is too short. 3. Nemesis - I love this ride! The intensity is amazing and it doesn't lose it throughout the ride. 4. Air - While I like this ride it could be a lot better and faster. 5. Nemesis inferno - While I like this ride I feel that it could have been a lot better and it is a ride that I won't queue long for. I think that it is a better coaster than Air but I have ridden it too many times!

Colossus vs. Inferno
I would have to say Colossus. This is because while I like inferno it has nothing on the original Nemesis (which does beat Colossus imo) and it's thrilling moments are seperated by fairly boring ones. Also Colossus has my favourite part of the ride last - the five barrel rolls.

Oakwood
I would like to see a B&M hyper coaster - I think that it would fit in well with the park.

Samurai
I am not sure what setting Samurai was on today but it was running at less than half it's normal speed and it was appauling!

The Swarm
This was exactly what happened today - Then you also have the problem that the slower the queue moves, the more it builds up resulting in an even longer wait! It was the same on Thursday when I was there on a school trip although we were there at the beginning so at least there were no fasttracks then. Today however was a different story, there were tons of them! I agree, today the helicopter water skim didn't go off once (when I was in the area but I doubt it did at all, I was in the area on three seperate occasions throughout the day.) The fire engine one was (I think) going off every time, but it wasn't going off until the train had started going through the tower. I think it is such a shame that a brand new 20 million pound roller coaster is being run like this already, having not even lasted a year running well. I know that it will have problems but with all of these at once it is appauling. Hopefully these will be sorted soon.

Thorpe Park Trip Reports
Went to the park today, and I have to say... MOST BREAKDOWNS EVER! RIDECOUNT: The Swarm x3 (Very poor show today, for details see my post in the main Swarm topic.) Colossus x3 Nemesis inferno x2 X:/ No way out x3 Saw: The ride x2 Samurai x1 (On the worst setting ever today, literally at half speed throughout the whole ride - Also it opened at 11 and closed at 5 (park 9:30 - 6) Vortex x1 BREAKDOWNS: Saw: The ride x2 Stealth Colossus The Swarm x2 (On one occasion the whole area was evacuated, not sure why. We walked up to it and everyone was being evacuated from the area) X:/ No way out (It closed at 5 so it may have just been laziness or cost cutting rather than a breakdown. Even so it was annoying.) I am sure there was another one but I can't think of what it was. (Some of these didn't affect us, we just saw them.) Overall an average day at the park, and I managed to get my total of rides on The Swarm up to 50!

The Swarm
The Swarm was a poor show today. - No water shooting on the helicopter turnaround - Very bad timing of the water jets on the fire engine area - No LED's on the trains - 1 train operation for most of the day plus lots of fasttracks causing a very slow moving queue - Breakdown causing everyone to evacuate the area - Not as many jets of water shooting out of the fire engine or helicopter With that said, I did manage to get 3 rides in on it meaning that I have reached 50 in total!

The Swarm
I went to Thorpe park on a school trip today. We had an hour talk with a member of staff (which was very good and interesting) and he told us a rather surprising bit of news. He told us that The Swarm was a mistake because it was based on something that guests didn't really understand or know about (whereas with Saw everyone knew what it was.) He also told us that they were down on 200,000 guest figures this year. Not good

SAW: The Ride
Oh right. I guess that this is because of fire/emergancy evacuation?

SAW: The Ride
I agree with you. The shotguns are part of the experience therefore you should queue where they are. What I meant really is that the queue seems slower because instead of moving like a normal queue you stop for ages then move up a lot whereas you used to move a bit but a lot more often in my opinion.

Chessington General Discussion
Nooo! Why stop zoo days? They still have to spend money to feed the animals and all that so why not open the park to make a bit of money?
